  1. Armor with a taunt aura is mandatory, followed by pairing it with one of the good melee sets, like claws, axe, energy, db ect.
  2. I've tried them all, dp/martial was fun but pretty weak, dp/ninja handles DP's weaknesses the best, but you need to eat reds and use amps to get the most of it.
  3. Mental manip is basically the only way you could build a viable blaster before i24. It many respects it's outshined now, but my fire/mental in early hc was a demon that could wreck all content, even after the dp nerf.
  4. I'm against it just because this game is easy and the ebs are a joke. If people can't handle them, they need to learn to play instead of demanding change.
  5. Insane to me how people still complain about these things. If a petless mm can handle it better than you, there's a skill issue in a game where that bar is incredibly low.
  6. First of all, yes. second: IDFK.
  7. DEBUFFS ARE ONE OF THE STRONGEST THINGS IN THIS GAME. WHY ARE WE YELLING?!
  8. Tempting to take the invitation, but I don't really wanna play CoH right now. If anyone else wants to take the challenge, I'm around to help with the build.
  9. Largely irrelevant due to geas + aforementioned gaussian stacking.
  10. 1: First of all, no. Changeling isn't better than an optimized scrapper. Ratch and I have had faster pylons by a decent margin. You need to keep in mind that it's damage capped changeling vs a scrapper in this context. Min/maxed Scrapper at dam cap is going to blow a changeling out of the water. 2: Changeling is a temporary bandaid until khelds get some proper buffs. It's removal before said buffs would be a bit catastrophic, so I would encourage using your flawed data responsibly. 3: The power is largely in the procs. Turns out procs, stacking gaussians and anim skipping is a potent combo. Most of the actual power data here is completely irrelevant.
  11. I think we already did, multiple times.
  12. Guy's doubling down on a horrible idea despite everyone universally saying its stupid. Should consider applying to be a powers dev.
  13. Respectfully, this is a skill issue.
  14. inhale I approve.
  15. I don't know how you can hope to have accurate datasets without four signature pets and a volley of warburg nukes before every attempt.
  16. A fix for this behavior would be nice.
  17. That implies I ever did. I respond purely to educate people who might read their falsehoods and think they have a leg to stand on. Every time there's a kheld thread. I swear, I have no idea why someone with essentially zero credentials thinks they can gatekeep something based off lore they either haven't read, or don't understand. Nothing in the lore contradicts a kheldian flying around and blasting or punching people, it's actually quite supported, so the only real argument to be had would be a gameplay mechanic thing, and it's very difficult to argue against a cosmetic choice like this in that area. The only thing of merit would be if somehow it would be difficult to do the conversion, which with how garbage this engine is, is plausible. But unless I see a dev around to confirm that, I will assume otherwise.
  18. Lore arguments without citations, and paraphrased in a way that does not contradict anything being argued against should simply be dismissed. Honestly, just stop replying to these people, report them if they keep trolling and move on, they aren't worth the attention they seek.
  19. You have to actually know the lore to be a lore purist,
  20. Kheldians are balls of pure energy, this passage is not referring to shapeshifting, FYI.
  21. I believe it was commented at some point that the jojo stand approach to kheld forms is feasible, which would inherently imply that minfx forms by themselves are very much in the realm of possibility.
  22. I'm guessing, to be fair, because I don't believe it's documented anywhere who wrote the kheld stuff specifically, besides the early draft of the lore doc that isn't canon to what we ended up getting. But if someone can't cite a source and continues being an annoyance over a simple qol change, just disregard them as a troll and move on. I'm tired of this childish shit, frankly. Most people would like the change, it's a good change, it's optional and it doesn't conflict with lore. That's an easy win.
  23. Michael Lewis, who is not a developer. I'm curious if you conflate lore with game design for every gameplay change, or if this is just a kheldian thing. Alright, I'm done, you've had enough and I said I'd stop.
  24. No, you don't get to misuse terms when you're backed into a corner. You are now arguing the design of the game, and not the written lore for kheldians. Additionally, your assumptions of developer intent are not an argument.
  25. Forms don't have downsides, so that was a very puzzling thing to say to me. It's a purely cosmetic change that does not infringe on the lore whatsoever. If you can cite the lore that does so, please do. Otherwise, stop lying to people. You wanna insist on that, feel free to PM me, otherwise we're gonna hard derail, and I'm stopping that now.
