  1. I really don't think the code to make it random is really exact.. The same for the 20 year old random function.

I don't want to take over the thread with my nonsense. 3 whip attacks, Trick Arrow minus ice arrow. unfortunately Only Oil slick is fully slotted everything else is one slotted with some sort of proc Full fighting pool. Mu mastery excluding shackles. 6 slotted Defenses 45 Melee, 45 range, 41 energy, 41 negative. Resistance S/L 75% This is why I asked his defense and resistance numbers.. I am trying to see how we compare. The thing is he has a solid hold.. I can see in the video he was holding the AV.. Mine would be a full on fight.. I have gotten as far as the 3rd mission with the computer.. But after 30 minutes of fighting I gave up.. I couldn't beat him down fast enough.. I have a bunch of different builds.. I need to see which primary and secondary would bring the most debuffs and of course DPS.

  9. I think you will get a lot of push back on this. But I get it. I think it starts to become you want a free fly power that is more customizable.
  10. Well if they could allow you to get that Vanguard HVAS with INF during the the TF that is right by the Hami entrance that would clear up pretty much everything..

  13. Guys and Gals I have no dog in this fight.. Reminder I am the guy who has over 10 petless masterminds.. So I am creating the AR device Medic. Nonetheless don't blame me. Blame @Adeon Hawkwood. He was the one who explained defense cap to me all those years ago. I guess at least for me learning the numbers was a wow moment. It was like a different game. I honestly, suddenly felt a bit more superhero'ish when I could I fight more bad guys. And to over clarify. I posted many times in the first post it was not my intent to weasel or be a cheesy player.. Because I also knew how the idea sounds and comes off. Beyond that I said my piece about this and have nothing more to expand or say about it.
  14. Some technical details if possible.. You had to debuff or suppress powers on the AV.. I am trying to run a solo ITF but on a petless mastermind so trying to get some technical info to help me out.
  15. I hope I can express this well enough for people to understand. Before inventions came along and everyone was naïve to defense numbers. Everyone was just creating the fantasy they had in their head. EG Assault Rifle Device, Super Speeder, teleporter with Full Medic skills. But once Invention sets came along and with that understand the numbers. You finally realized that as much as that build was cool it was gimping you.. For me it happen like this.. I was playing my Assault Rifle Device with another player. But this other player was just a massive beast.. He was surviving things I couldn't.. We met on the forums and he pointed me to links and I learned.. I try to give that forward then and now and I have those same links in my signature today. But once I learned about the numbers, the game changed. I knew I could no longer be the AR/Device/SS/Teleporter/Full Medic.. I had to change up my fantasy. Today I am creating backstories based on my build and not the other way around. It would be nice if you could combine IOs from 2 different Invention categories but choose which IO set you wanted set bonuses from. EG I want to be that AR Device full medic, but I know going this route will kill my numbers.. So I decide to six slot Aid Other with Numina Convalesence but I want the set bonuses from from Thunder Strike.. So I combine the 2, maybe pay a fee for some special converter and BAM Numia healing power in aid other with Thunder Strike set bonus. I think something like this would give players a bit more freedom to have that different toon but still retain some of the numbers they want as well. Again I am not looking to scam to get the best of both worlds type of thing. I am just looking to expand the builds from the common cookie cutters.. As an example if you want DP/Kin.. The best build is the one

He slowly just went through different irritations of the build and powers and IOs until he was able to just get a build that could not be tweaked anymore. As much as that was great work. It would be nice to have those build numbers but with different powers. I know there is a rule of 5 for set bonuses. So that is in place to prevent abuse. Maybe other rules could be implemented for something like this as well. Maybe make it where you can only copy set bonuses from powers already slotted with a set bonus already.. Example. You can only slot Aid Other with Thunder Strike set bonus if you already have it slotted in another set. Maybe limit the number of times you can do this to 1,2 or 3. Again my only purpose to get players the option to create different builds and use more powers that are not commonly used otherwise.
  17. For me, once someone taught me about what Defense cap meant, the whole game changed for me. Prior to inventions being placed in the game, you were stuck to some degree needing the core members for a team.. Empath, Stone Tank or some type of Tank, Scrapper, Kin, Bubbler, Fire Blaster over other types. But after those key slots were filled it was to some degree get whomever, but without a doubt it was Oh get that controller instead of another blaster or scrapper.. The other cool thing before inventions is since you needed all these key players, you were NOT sort of fine tuning your build with specific powers. You were more creating that fantasy in your head. So you would be an Assault Rifle Device player with the full medic pool because it was your theme. Today with inventions and striving for numbers a bit of that theme/fantasy is ripped out. You can see this with certain power sets.. EG Here in Masterminds.. You want defense cap easy ? Go Traps. By mid 30s to early 40s you are almost full defense capped with SOs. But now you have to create in your head that backstory why your a necro mastermind with traps..

  19. I am guessing this is related to my build. I wanted to be able to also heal myself at times. comparing numbers 02 9 end cost .86 recharge ( 1 second) Heals for 267 I think Aid Other 5 end cost. 2 second recharge Heals for 25% of target I am reading 201 on effects don't know if its 25% or 201. As you can imagine 25% for a Brute is much more then for a mastermind. Field Medic removes the interrupt for Aid Other and gives Endurance to Aid Self. For me my concern was Endurance to some degree, I was close to the Endurance ratio, so play style was slow and deliberate. But with the changes I made last night, much, much better.. Much more endurance.. I can still dip low.. But I can play a bit harder now.. A bit more aggressive. For me it is a much better build.
  20. Swap around the IO as you like.. I was tossing in IOs to achieve numbers.. EG Rain of fire..   21. Something is wrong with your build.. I only see 37 for range defense. S/L is only at 23. You cannot have stealth and infiltrate on at the same time and Infiltrate will not give you defenses when attacked or you attack so you are stuck with stealth.. Stealth gives you half defense in combat. Super Speed and Stealth IO in either SS or sprint will make you invisible to low perception mobs.. Things like Rikti Drones will see you though. Personally to me slotting is off. Here are 2 builds I have.. Swap out primary for Energy and fix what is not slotting up.. AR/EM Beam EM This one is working very well for me doing 8/3 setting EASILY
  22. Here are some various builds.. This one has Grant Invisibility for the Gun Drones. It is a tactic I have seen players use for Mastermind Pets.. Swap out Archery for Beam correct slots that don't pop up with IO sets. Or swap out Grant Invis for Combat Jump to get the defense caps. This is someone else Archery Device build again some good numbers. Same concept swap for Beam DP Device You can use Burnout to Stagger your Gun Drones and you can have 3 Gun Drones out for an extended period of time. But you have to keep on top of it. This is another DP Device.. Don't know the difference between the two This is my personal AR Device - Before they made trip mine uninterruptible. Goal was the get full auto up as fast as possible. Spiderling pets are Perma assuming they don't die.. I hover when needed for the most part.. I actually used this to PL my Fire/Rad Farmer to 50.. I used a S/L farm.. Took a bit, but it worked..
