  1. Force Field.. Without a doubt.. It just really is useless with this current state of the game.. It was awesome PRE IO.. Pre IO my gripe was you had to be a stone tank an empath, Kin, some scraper and Fire Blaster to get a team.. Now with IO's you pretty much don't need anyone, which I guess is cool in some ways because now you can be anything.. But Poor Force Field has been definitely left behind..

  3. I went human only because I felt tri form was too involved for me, honestly.. Did that 1 billion coffin queen build listed somewhere on this page. My Litmus test is the Alpha Unlock for Incarnates. I start with 8/3 setting with fully IO build and then work my way down the settings.. I was at 1/5 setting when I was like GTFO of here with this BS... Mind you I run PETLESS MASTERMINDS on this test all the time and I have about 10+ Petless and semi petless builds, they did better than the warshade. I wasn't aware of Defensive Amplifiers though either.
  4. I have done this TF before not realizing or forgetting we needed holds. I was lucky I was on my Mastermind that happen to have a hold. It would be nice if they had some obscene message NOTE: Someone MUST have HOLD power for end of mission Or maybe a NPC at the top that will give out a gun that holds. Something along the lines of... Psst, I've been waiting for you guys. I discovered that this Hold-O-Matic might prove useful against that Hami down there.. I'm not going to go down there and test it myself, but you can use it if want to test it out for me. Only works in the trial. Similar to the spores you pick up during that Trial that you have to protect the NPC.. Sorry mind is blank with the names ATM.
  5. I had a human only warshade and it was Painful that I scrapped the build. EVERY MEZ was just connecting and getting me killed.
  6. This is what I have with DP/NIN I am running 8/3 to 8/4 (Council and Cots) depending on the mobs type. I have been more actively using inspirations, they just used to sit in the tray honestly. I usually have a radio mission saved for farming when not teaming. Just swap out DP for whatever. It is full Positional Defense capped. Zero complaints. Just a fun toon.   8. I reworked my build as mentioned.. I didn't realize as I was posting Field Medic didn't take any IO sets. So taking the hit on Range Defense, I was able to of course free up 3 slots. Added one slot to Health and placed the Numina Proc - Received Endurance increase and Regen bonus Changed the IOs in Freezing Rain to Javelin Volley - Added the Proc and damage recharge. Received Endurance increase from set bonus Last slot ?? Charged armor Gladiator's Armor for more endurance increase and increased resistance from 32.5 to 39.. Another proc in Freezing Rain goes from 113 points of damage to 177 points of damage. Change out Gail for 2 damage procs ? Go from 5 pts of damage to 36 points of damage Another Proc in Stamina Another Proc in Health Was considering Aid Self but a Heal IO would give me from 29% to 37%.. Heal and Recharge was taking off tenths of a second.. 4.41 to 4.17 and a heal of 34% From an endurance standpoint which is somewhat critical with this build its either A Endurance IO(maybe at +5, gives you 3.2 endurance Rec instead of 3.1)/Performance shifter IO in Stamina gives you 3.1 and 15 extra hitpoints. A 2nd Gladiator IO in Charged Armor, either Resistance or Endurance/Resistance Or go with the Proc in Freezing Rain for the 64 point AOE damage increase.. I am thinking be happy with the new endurance bonus from changes in Freezing rain and Health and put the 2nd proc in Freezing Rain.   9. No good because you don't have enough endurance and Hurricane is going to really kill your endurance.. With hurricane on you are at 2.77 endurance use. Your Recovery is 2.94 and you need to be 2 points above your endurance use.. So you need to be at 4.77. Even with Cardiac you are just not going to make it. End result you will be losing toggles all the time and Hurricane will be of limited use. This is what I have with Cardiac Total Core Revamp 45% endurance cost and 20% range.. When you load the build you will see I have Hurricane turned on.. When making the build was making sure the endurance numbers were correct. If you take the time to do the math for the endurance ( Don't Bother) you will see I am 2.14 above the Endurance Use. The rule of thumb is Endurance Recovery has to be 2 points above endurance use, otherwise you will be always endurance draining. That is the minimum. End result I can run hurricane but I can't go wild with my powers.. Its a slow and steady cadence. The whole goal is to get up as may Lightning Storms as possible. When I get lucky enough with the recharge bonus I can get 3 up. With burnout and proper timing and I pay close attention I can have 3 Storms up semi consistently. But that is overkill unless its a boss fight (A/V or better) and I am solo or with a group that is just lacking.. Thunder strike is going to be swapped out for Electric fences or I might pick up Field Medic for the buff it gives for just having the power.. If I am reading it correctly. I understand it just having the power gives you the below buff which is good enough for me because of the endurance for me and the Interrupt for healing pets which does happen. EDIT - Removing Thunder Strike will lower my Range Defense to 43.. It is something I am willing to accept. If you notice I am always at range defense cap. Hurricane puts me at all other defense caps, which is a benefit to AOE or Melee. Further it covers all the typed defense as well. Hope this helps you out.   10. Traps for sure.. Very thematic.. Trick Arrow is good as well. I am discovering everything trick arrow for my Petless and semi petless mastermind builds and regular builds as well. You jump into the fight let loose with AOE attacks and debuffs. Ignite the Oil Slick and watch them melt as you send your pets against the purple con mobs. I have a Thug Storm which I initially bitched about.. But I take it back.. It works very well. I think mercs would be better because you don't have anything like the arsonist running around into melee range and getting killed all the time..

But here is the issue. It seems the Inherent Powers section is limited to 9 and nothing else is displayed.. So can hover over the black background and see that the powers are there, I can left click to lock the power.. But I cannot slot the power.. I tested this out on other archtypes by adding Prestige powers and the same thing happens. 9 is the limit.

  20. Yea.. My big mistake is for some crazy reason I didn't realize this was TIME.. I got caught up in the Proc math on the attacks that for some reason I just didn't catch the secondary.. Senior moment..
  21. I need to take a look but I "THINK" you can get positional Defense cap.. But it might cut down on your procing. I will circle back on this tomorrow. Is everything a must power wise beyond Plant Control and Traps ? I usually try to get Triage Beacon into the 40s on recharge. This way you can have double Triage Beacon for a time. For example I have a build with Triage Beacon that is at 40 second recharge and it give me 535 regeneration.. But doubled it is 836 for 50 seconds.. You are in Scrapper Regeneration range. It is very helpful. I play many petless or semi petless masterminds and I am doing 3/8 setting and sometimes 4/8 on traps builds. Again I don't know the numbers for Controllers and if they are different. This is my Thematic Robot Boy.. Kid genius and his robot Goliath..
  22. Someone pointed out to me, which I never realized and then tested and confirmed. The KB chance is low in Trip Mine so not worth slotting. So 5 slotted would be the way to go if you want that extra slot some place else.
  23. I play a lot of Petless and Semi Petless masterminds ( Last Pet ) If you go to my thread on Petless mastermind in my signature, you will see I killed an AV with Robot (Assault Bot) and Traps. Trick Arrow is good.. Oil Slick eats them up when ignited. The build I go for with Trick arrow which is obtainable is Range/Melee Defense cap and S/L Resistance cap with high recharge for Oil Slick. I just jump in drop everything from Trick Arrow, put pet on aggressive if it is a semi petless build or normal for full pet build. Then I just point them at a boss and keep fighting the boss until dead and move on to another boss. I have many trick arrow Semi-petless masterminds.

  25. What is the game setting if I can ask. Meaning group and level. 1/8, 3/8 ETC I need to keep reading the Redlynne post. I am so big on defense that when I look at it and don't see any defenses I wonder about survivability. I get there are hit debuffs and such.. I understand its a new concept to some degree, so I just need to wrap my head around it.
