  1. Hell on Earth I discovered works on any pet. I have accidentally used hell on earth on my Acid Mortar. On my Demon Pain Semi-Petless mastermind ( Demon Prince only ) I discovered that I could NOT keep him in bodyguard mode. Because he would just about instantly die or almost die on the initial attack. What I had to do was just keep him aggressive and attack a mob and point him at that mob. So basically I would attack. He would attack. Kin Build I have a DP Kin and I had a very hard time getting him close to defense cap. I don't know if Whips Kin would get you near cap. Would have to play around with the build. You still won't benefit anything for endurance until level 35 when you get Transference. The more I look at Kin the more interesting it gets. Because I know just saying Kin will get you a team all the time. Which Ancillary/Epic is the best for DPS I think the Ancillary/Epic pools is where you need to look and test which is the best for DPS or at least just overall benefit to a petless mastermind. Again I can see an advantage to both. Dropping mines even defense capped can be a pain in the backside. You 1 point of damage breaks the placement and I think you loose endurance as well. Oppressive Gloom stun really helps break that. But Field Master might have better attacks/DPS. Here is my Whip Traps Dark as a comparison to the Field Mastery. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1470;682;1364;HEX;| |78DA6594D94F135114C6EFB453B1506C2B94B21481B2145B1DA89AE89B89A246A54| |A82F1954C608049DA69D325821BE0F2CE1A8DF1D105DC9E707B52DFDC1ED59888DB| |1FA0F2E08B6B3DCC77A44D66D299DFDCEF9E73EE77EF9DDBD84897EBCEBE899D42F| |2EC8EAB994C5F4CCD64B5744237061C317548EFB70BBA4AE86E2AF4F4F5E61289A4| |A17469F4E4866E0CF98A2276E506079523693595F1EE3786B5B4666495FF2FE53DC| |9645CD9AB0F0D6729ABD46CF5A6346DC06DBE766BEA8096CE0CEB29AFD98EA9869E| |CAC5D5AC9E34027B527ABF52EC24998BB3E7D16A72D94AF7458FE02BEF10F3B2105| |159AC5B003D379837C1F5B798B7C151B928775232B5C629B0699A39C39C055BE6C0| |4B34AEC4B9D224EAD9A698D3A03CC39C655F73E071821DB9C2FED96E6A274873409| |31D0731C69A6E660C741D026B0F83973DD8AD150F258BA8BDF62EF31E587A9FF900| |743D044F129C3C9EF3A94D887A59B43D633E07432FC0C697A08D062B63DF6579BA8| |49D94727319F252F916CCA4DA2F99D1A7680437FA6C6E1F1C5756323DA04CF95E8E| |F1724C35C7D472CC69AA53C14E2B5EC1C9C6D7CC37CCB760F8A7CDCC09525D1FFBF| |24584A98598CDD4E7473D9BDF89F8CD4B60E33BD04B3135ECAB867D85D94F98FD8D| |91AF3A5EFDBA31688171E604B8E10CF32CF31C5841F5EB51DF517F05636EBACABCC| |6BCCEDEE6990B602DE536F02E3464A08D9397207B09FE82D6FC9BF987F9176CC933| |05F6EB911D276965AEAD41686D3BC0D076F031A19DD7B3FD073542B2887E47DF134| |284F727B204ADE33DF30318FDC8FC042EBB8450B89E3282EFA5E318D842F3EBE4F9| |759E87D740E1A4D26FE5CB0B5B944E8B12B5285B2DCA368BD26D51620525DF23AF9| |E7B2199BDDF4A49E1B988A3D8DFAA0392B9465F0B7D5C6BB938FA026657350D7EB1| |443B3DABFF14F97FED54FE34| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  2. Since I didn't see it mentioned. Super Speed plus stealth IO gives you stealth against regular mobs. So as long as you have SS running you can stand next to them with zero issues. Though high perception mobs like Rikti Drones and some Corsair mobs can see you.
  3. I would look at the thread down below this I just posted in.. There are enough AR Device builds there to give you ideas.
  4. To ME.. The best secondary is the one that gives me Range Defense cap and allows me to maybe get Melee & AOE defense capped via Hail of bullets defense buff. Without having to use a power that requires an Anchor to get a hit debuff like from dark as an example. Again that is MY personal choice. That being said. I had a semi- petless ( Last pet only ) DEFENSE CAPPED demon pain mastermind that I wanted to get incarnates on. I slotted SO in the build and did all my incarnates to get to T3. Never had an issue. No one ever looked at my build live in game and said hey you have not set bonuses. So my point is best is really objective. I would rather do 100 points less damage on a power but be alive all the time then trying to be a glass cannon for example. Because in big content your useless. In big content you loose defenses. In big content mobs are much tougher. Which means you won't kill them and they will hit you back and kill you because your not capped at all with a glass cannon. At least I can eat 1 or even 2 luck inspirations to shore up the debuffs. You get it. The glass cannon has to eat at least 4 luck. Personally when I see someone die several times I look at their build and look at their set bonuses real quick. Most are frankenslotting for recharge and dps. Which is fine. UNTIL you pull aggro. I had about 20 lvl 50s and I did exactly that, frankenslotted for best DPS and recharge. Then I seen another guy with a similar build and he was just crushing the content while I kept dying. I asked him and he said defense cap. I was what is this magic defense cap ? I went to the forums, did searches. Went to the Wiki pages and BAM... It all clicked in.. I was a born again defense cap players. I spent the next several months running content to redo my builds on all my toons that I could get defense cap on.
  5. Whip Traps, defense cap with Soul Mastery. Oppressive Gloom is good when defense capped. It just really clears up or stops a lot of that aggro that just makes dropping Trip Mines that much easier. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1458;672;1344;HEX;| |78DA6593C94F13511CC7DFB453B1A5486B293B02A5506C75A06AA23713458D4A950| |4E3954CE80093B4D3A64B0437C0E5CE1A8DF1E8026E27D7937A733BAA3111B73F40| |E5E0C5B5FE98EF4FDB64269D7EE67DDF6FF9BEF76662A33DEE5B7B26B70BC9B333A| |166B30331359BD33249DD883B62EAB03E68177495D1DD5A9C19E8CF27932943E9D1| |E89F07BA31EC2F89D8911F1A520E65D474D6BBD718D1329A9153FE3D54F4A552096| |5B73E3C92A32C9739EA4F6B5ABCD27CECD5D4B896C98EE869AF398EA9869ECE27D4| |9C9E321A77A5F541A5D4492A9F60CF63B5E43248F7798FE0ABE0100BB2105159AC5| |9043DD798D7C1B5379837C131B924774A32B59669B0758639CB9C0383F3E005EA2B| |71AE34857AB669E60C28CF32E7D8D73C78946047AEB07FB29BDA31D21CD064C77EF| |458D5CB8C81EE0360FD41F0A207A7B5E2A1EC366AAFBEC3BC0BBAEE31EF83EE07E0| |718293FB399FD884689245C753E63330F41C6C7901DAA85939FB2E2FD025ECA4549| |8DB50902A366125B53592197D823A5462CE56E987E3AA2AA6079429DFCB315E8EA9| |E5987A8E3949757CECD4F7124ED6BF62BE66BE01C33F6C664E80EAFAD9973F224C2| |DC46CA3B91AD4B3D53811BF71096C790B7A29A68E7DD5B1AF30FB09B3BF71F2D5C0| |BBDF300EAD71823909AE3BC53CCD3C03FAA87E13EA3B9A2EA1E786CBCC2BCCABEC6| |D81B908D6536E339F427316DA047909B097C04F686DBF98BF997FC0608129705E0F| |09EDBC1FED01681DDBC0D056F011A193F7B3F33B0D42B2887EC3DC634284CF27B20| |4ADEB1DF33D18FDC0FC082EBB8550B89E328AF7A5EB0818A4F575F3FABACFC26B63| |F14BA5DFCA9B17B628DD16256A51365B942D16A5D7A2C48A4AA14FFEFFDD0BC99CF| |DEA122C15247118E75BBD4F32F7E84B718E6B2D97469FC3EAAA67C0CF96E8BF1198| |FC15| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| ************************************************************************************************************************************************ Whip Traps Defense cap with Field Mastery. 6. @Crysis see in the OLD post you posted screenshots of the numbers. I am not grasping the numbers because MIDS / Pines is not adding up the numbers correctly. Though the screenshots are helpful in seeing the numbers. I guess what is the time interval you have to pop these powers to max. EG I have a similar Kludge on my DP Kin, where Hail of Bullets gets me the melee and AOE defense cap. But sometimes surviving to pull of Hail of Bullets can be an issue on big fights. Mostly Incarnate and AE Farms.
  7. There should be a Sticky on what just cannot be done in game. And maybe a rating of could be asked for based on difficulty / time consuming. The suggestions and Feedback is great but honestly what is the point if more then half are just impossible. Or maybe request a way for Suggestions to be listed.. EG the title should have a specific format. The first few lines should have a certain format. This way this data could be collected and reviewed. EG after 30 days the biggest request is about Base Storage. The 2nd request is about Blaster power sets and within those Blaster request a majority are about Knockback.
  8. Basically, this computer pulls all the data from the Salvage Storage Shelves and puts it all in one place. You still have to put the Salvage in on the Shelves but the computer allows you to PULL salvage and you can sort like you can in your personal salvage inventory. Rarity, Amount, ETC.. Or add another tab to the Invention computer where your salvage is. Or yet again the Invention computer pulls automatically from the Combined Salvage Storage. If you can make it, it is highlighted if you can't then you know out of all that storage you missing something. Currently I have Salvage stored on AH on several toons. This would be a great way to for me to see that within all the salvage I have 20 Lucky Charms stored but only 2 spell scrolls for example and I know I have 10 sitting on AH for storage. Currently I have to run from bin to bin. OR start breaking the bins down by color and alphabet. I do my house keeping but I would rather be playing COH instead of City of Base inventory.
  9. Yea As an example for everyone but Masterminds Dual Wield Endurance 6.86 Empty Clips Endurance 10.19 Masterminds Dual Wield Endurance 8.58 Empty Clips Endurance 18.98 As per MIDS/PINE
  10. See on any defense capped build I like Oppressive Gloom, especially on Robot Traps because it allows me to drop trip mines as mobs get stunned. Less mobs attacking. Less chance of streak breaker occurring. Less interrupt on trip mines. Everyone has a different idea.
  11. I see that now.. I went back and looked at MIDs to understand the damage numbers in the total. I also went back to my own signature to read up on the limits as well. Which of course shows having both was overkill I bought most of the IOS and I am trying to save some money for the Winter's bites that are 20 million each regardless if superior or not. But here is the conundrum. The fact is simple I need hail of bullets up ASAP or a luck inspiration. Running in and doing Fulcrum Shift and then Hail of Bullets can put me in a tight situation sometimes with getting a bunch of hits in on me. But this is on a team and no one else is running Maneuvers for example. Solo I can go at my own pace. Currently I am doing 3/8 with NO issues. I am doing the Comic Con farm map ( the on the moon map ). Though I a bought 90% of the IOs I am dragging my feet to change. My main reason for the change is plain and simple the recharge rate.

  15. I tell you its a catch 22. I posted my DP Kin build thinking it was max and someone else made it better. But I get it. No one has yet posted a better robot traps in the thread.
  16. Thanks I will play around with all the options posted.. Again I tried and ended up with a small woman with a crazy look on her face. but I clearly can see it is doable.
  17. The more I look at this I will say your secondaries are very limiting. Storm and Traps are pretty much your only sets I think to some degree. The reason I say that is DPS and endurance. without bothering to look at the technical numbers on masterminds I will say it seems like they gave these attack powers some high endurance numbers. It would be nice if they basically calculated your endurance on your attacks based on the number of pet powers you have. Thus the game would see that your relying more on your primary attacks then pets in your build thus giving you more endurance to use for those attacks. Hope that makes sense. Basically promoting Petless Masterminds as a viable alternative. Similar to when Arachnos and black widows have that option to change powers. That being said Storm and Traps are the pretty much good secondaries with dps value. I have a Storm whips at 25.. I am a bit scared to get into a team don't want a bad rep or get into a debate. I was hoping to get lucky to just have the right timing to get on a farm team where no one cared. Again another alternative is the make a pet build and run normally until 50 and then swap over to petless. But I would really just like to do this all the way through on a team and not a farm or cheat by making a "normal build" Or try to make a steady night of Petless mastermind runs and promote that.
  18. Yes.. I do have a new build I have been meaning to post and I have The +recharge in it as well. If both proc Lightening Storm is on a 18 second recharge.
  19. Yea I will sorry forgot I posted this.. will drop the build tonight. BUT wayback time machine has the old forums. That is how I pulled up all my old builds. It is worth looking at as someone already created "That build" years ago and it just is lost and forgotten data now.
  20. Hey does anyone have a pic of the OLD gun drone that was a stationary cannon. I can't find it in Google
  21. Ha, funny I have been fiddling around with your build as well. Its one of those things where its so tight your giving up one thing for another because this is sort of DP Kin at the extreme building. The one question I was thinking as well but didn't know the numbers was am I going over the top or maxing out DPS with Fulcrum shift and Soul Drain. When you activate both in MID the numbers are amazing for Hail of Bullets. Again my current build is doing 3/8 and I am killing orange con mobs with HOB. HOB and Bullet Rain just about clear out red cons and bring purple cons half way or more. Again your build is better because Hail of Bullets is at 25 seconds compared to my 33 seconds among other things. I was looking at Winters bite on AH yesterday and seen either set regular or superior was 20 million each. I was asking around in help if converting another AT IO would work. I got mixed answers but overall the answer was NO. 100 million for 5 or 8 million ( 40 million total ) for another IO and convert. I would rather do the 40 million. I'm going to look at this when I get home and post up what build I have I think I am at V5. I think you build was 3. Side note I noticed the new MIDS builder that I have does not add any defense bonus for Melee Hybird Incarnate. Currently have Support but might go melee for the regen. Again doesn't cost me anything but time to build up the resources.
  22. I have to utterly disagree here.. Now mind you I am on Defender end with this, so I am not sure how the defense cap would work for Corruptor. But I will tell you Traps is a GREAT set.. On my Defender in the past ( the olden days ) I was soloing 4/8. My biggest issue was the Force Field generator becomes a target as is Acid Mortar which means I am aggroing A LOT of mobs. So if they kill my FF Gen half my defenses go. I have Traps on my Tankermind again which is full defense capped. Double Triage Beacon is nothing to complain about. I will post my defender build when I get home. But search the old forums in wayback time machine. You know whats better than AR Traps.. Fire Traps because Fire has the most AOE powers out of all the sets. A silly thing like caltrops keeps mobs moving. At level 50 you will have enough recharge to drop down 3 Caltrops. Trip mine, Poison trap followed by trip mine again will kill just about every mobs in melee range. Another trick is you need to keep FF Gen behind you. Don't resummon FF GEN next to you or in front.. Always behind you.. I will say this my AR Device Blaster leveled TONS faster then my AR Traps defender because the DPS output was clearly noticeable and greater with my Blaster. My AR Device is Range capped doing 4/8 hovering farms. I do not have Trip mine on him for that reason.. Hes built for move and shoot. I'm working on a petless whips ( Demon) Traps mastermind defense capped build.. Traps is the easiest set to get defense cap with. My mastermind Traps with some IOs at level 38 is at 40 defenses and soloing 1/8 atm.. Just provoking and dropping trip mines when I can and having pets attack.
  23. Good point Personally I will say its just me. I guess with Traps beyond FF Gen getting destroyed you sort of know where you are at. You have your defense numbers against all the mobs With Dark it really only work with whom you hit with the power, beyond Darkest Night. I'm very big on solo and teaming when I want. But I really want to know that I can solo the most highest setting I can on any toon I build. I do like Dark, but relying on an attack to hit to get defenses isn't for me. Just too risky. I think also with this type of build its too much risk as well. The build itself will just get a lot of negative feedback in general. I think this is just adding more unneeded risk. My thoughts are NOT to die and be on the front lines with the tanks and scrappers. Again short range on whips.
  24. I have TA Archery toon that I copied from my old post on the old boards. Its your standard Hover Blaster Range Cap. Work on high recharge to get up Rain of Arrow and Oil slick up as much as possible. I was able to farm with it. I am sure it can be tweaked but will edit this post with that build
  25. I am doing this now with this post open.. Thank you
