  1. And stop trying to force the rest of us to play the bad Dark Souls knockoff they seem to want this game to be.
  2. Smashing, Lethal, and Energy are the three most common damage types, and the vast majority of incoming attacks tag at least one of the three. Scorpion Shield offers only slightly lower defense against S/L than its elemental counterparts and in exchange gives you a chunk of energy defense, making it objectively the strongest defense toggle available to non-armored classes. Also, if you care about your character's appearance, Scorpion Shield is one of the least obtrusive armor toggles. Vectored defense sounds easier to slot for in theory, but more sets offer bigger typed defense bonuses, and it's far easier to get a typed-defense baseline from powers.
  3. "Alt-o-Maniac" WHAT YOU GONNA DOOO???
  4. That shit right there is why I don't buy super packs.
  5. This. Combat rezzes of any type are all but useless without someone around to take aggro, else you'll be dead again by the time you've got your defenses back online.
  6. Serum, no matter what you do with it, will be a trash power so long as it has that crash at the end. NO power in this game (or ANY game) is strong enough to justify a crash. Of course, Serum is terrible even without it. It either needs the cooldown lowered or to be AoE ... or both, maybe. The mercs themselves are another mess - all lethal damage plus the extra penalties pets face for being downleveled means you'll be seeing more 1s than every other number combined. In exchange for that, they're supposedly one of the more survivable sets. HahahahaNO they aren't. Lower the cooldowns on some of their bigger attacks to the point where you can actually remember they have them, and give them enough resists for it to matter, and you (hopefully) end up with a workable powerset.
  7. Except there's no way to meet your side's definition of "balanced" without effectively killing the system.
  8. If you want your position to be worth anything, don't lie about it. What you're asking for is a NERF. Plain and simple. Stop hiding behind cute language and admit it.
  9. I think there's an option for that awkwardly attached to the color menu.
  10. That would be a valid point if half the people in this thread weren't explicitly demanding for Incarnates to be stripped of some or all of their power - ie a NERF. It gets really tiresome to read, over and over, thread after thread, the same group of people being salty that someone out there might actually LIKE an easy game and trotting out, yet again, some variation of "make this harder" or "take that away". And there's no point in disagreeing with them since they'll just shout you down every damn time.
  11. Until i27 nerfs it to the ground, anyway.
  12. I knew this thread would bring out the nerfherders. Seriously, can we have even ONE discussion about Incarnate stuff that doesn't involve a bunch of people whining "I don't like that these people are allowed to have fun, take it away"? Just ONCE?
  13. Badges can add a nice little tagline to a character. But titles? Bah. Most of the options on that menu are flatly ridiculous. It's pretty clear the devs started by grabbing everything the Silver Age writers tossed aside as "too cheesy", and then went blindfolded through a thesaurus with a pin to get the remainder.
  14. Agree with everything except the Caltrop immunity; that mechanic keeps squishy toons alive when soloing AVs.
  15. Unfortunately, no. Homecoming is still in a legal grey area until further notice, and posting footage is a good way to get the HC team in shit.
  16. Munitions in general could use some love. The set almost feels like it's intentionally weak.
  17. Originally from Vancouver?
  18. They don't, though. Spider pets hit like wet noodles unless you sic them all on one target, and they never last their duration because they die to a stiff breeze.
  19. Wouldn't have gotten the nickname if they didn't earn it. Just saying.
  20. Welp, that's what respecs are for.
  21. Little known fact: it's called a "compact" car because it's designed to hold cosmetics. They're not actually meant to be driven.
  22. I was under the impression that Judgements were autohit anyway. At the very least I've never seen a miss message, and I'm prone to spamming mine.
