yeah, it's not downloading right for some reason... i just checked and it is showing 0 bytes size
I've done a couple of uninstall/reinstalls of vidiot.
*edit* i just did the manual install from the google drive link and that worked perfectly.
I just did a fresh install of Homecoming and then tried to install vidiot through the Mod installer, now when I HC, I get the following error and HC won't start.
https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=sentinel_ranged.fire_blast.blazing_blast&at=sentinel
Blazing blast has repel, which is why you can't slot knock back into it.
So, Fire/Rad (should) be less endurance intensive just because of AM to offset some of the endurance cost. Fire/Storm will be more chaotic with multiple tornados and lightning storms.
Most over powered would probably be empathy if you could cast it on yourself. Adrenaline Boost + Clear Mind + Fortitude = SR defender with permanent Instant Healing.
Maneuvers provides more defense than anything other than weave
Combat Jumping, hover, and suppressed stealth provide the same defense numbers (but with varying endurance costs)
There is an odd bug with the immobilize proc where AVs won't get immobilized, even if you overcome their immobilize protection. A few of us tested this out on an ITF with power analyzers to confirm. It's been submitted as a bug.
With the exception of some tech-looking sets (traps, ect) most sets could conceivably be magic.
I like the idea though of energy blast colored to look like light.
There is the Sorcery pool, which, as its name implies, is geared toward magic themes. Demon summoning has a similar aesthetic to it.
But here is an interesting thing to remember:
At level 25, common IOs have slightly less than even level SO strength
BUT: at level 30, common IOs become stronger then even level SOs... Meaning you can just buy and slot level 30 IOs at level 27+ and save inf.
So, dominators, with their assault sets. IMO you take both ranged and melee attacks. The melee attacks do more damage than their ranged counterparts (in general) but it's only safe for a Dom in melee once things are locked down, so sometimes starting at range is a good thing.
Taunt:
1. Auto Hit
2. No end cost
3. Ranged
4. AoE
Getting a damage portion added to this (even illusory) seems like it would make taunt *too* good, so what of the above do you give up?
I'll take none of the above, and no change, thank you.
I don't remember the exact quote because I've only run the Aeon SF once, but in the part where you're in Portal Corp
Strange women lying in ponds is not a system for distributing incarnate powers
The problem with changing out any powers that already exist is that your going to have people who like what exists now, so you have to balance what is liked now to what you're changing it to.
I'm going to make an unpopular argument.
If EA is too powerful to port to a tank, it's too powerful on brutes/scrappers. AT Modifiers exist for a reason.
