  1. Perhaps electric? Not just for thematics, but electric helps drain mobs faster. Elec/Elec defenders are the 2nd best sappers in the game (Elec/Elec controllers topping them) so I'd think corruptors would do pretty well as well.
  2. They can be stacked by both the same caster and different casters right now. What I'm seeing is a nerf in your suggestion.
  3. I'm against completely redesigning the set. I do think, as some have said, that it needs some tweaks. In no particular order, here's what I'd do: Increase the cone of Full Auto a fair amount Increase the damage of Full Auto a little Decrease the cast time of flamethrower Decrease the cast time of ignite
  4. The fact that they can be stacked is where their strength really comes in. Sure, 300% Regen isn't bad, but 600% Regen is even better
  5. Time to stress test my SR/Kat again
  6. Nature and EA are generally the top two sets for really hard content, they're more on the buff side of things though. Rad/Sonic defenders were considered the king of things before IOs/incarnates were around, so doing the corruptor version sold still be viable, though you'd have to invest pretty heavily in self defense and you don't provide a whole lot of defense for your team (at least until you start firing vengeance + fallout)
  7. It would make squishy single target sets significantly stronger than squishy AoE sets. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense conceptually either, I'd say when someone gets shot/set on fire/frozen/whatever the people around him would tend to notice.
  8. Olympian 29 is the Olympian from the DA story arc, his laser beam eye is really cool.
  9. I want Olympian 29's eye laser cone!
  10. To be fair, least helpful did not mean not helpful.
  11. Probably force field. Just about everyone builds for capped defenses anyway, so FF really only brings knockback to the table.
  12. SR tanker says hi now that being said, I don't know if that's the best choice.
  13. Are there any Lts+ that have less than that resistance?
  14. Teleport target only works on minions, so there's another issue with it.
  15. I tell you what: I'll give you a KB->KD toggle IF I get more damage the further an enemy gets knocked back.
  16. Purple Patch doesn't affect unresistable debuff, my TAs don't build for soft capped defense for this reason. Defenders can get about 14% unresisted to-hit debuff out of flash arrow against all mobs, then another 14% resistable. Now, that being said, I still don't think I'd choose TA as the one defender to bring on hard content. It's one of my favorite sets, but you want a more even combination of buffs and debuffs. I personally don't like playing EA that much, but Voltak is right, it's a monster set. The other combo I'd consider is the classic Rad/Sonic
  17. Acid Mortar doesn't do Knockback, but the proc that is slotted is the Overwhelming Force Chance for Knockdown/Knockback to Knockdown. This gives Acid Mortar a chance to knock down enemies hit with it. Not sure how well that works, but that's the reasoning behind it. Here's my Beam/Traps/Mace build, capped to everything but Psi and Melee, so very sturdy. I have recently begun liking Caltrops, which I originally skipped on this guy, so I may end up respeccing into it. Probably dropping Combat Jumping, or maybe Triage Beacon, though I like the regen of that power.
  18. Time/sonic is the clear whovian, as you have to have a sonic screwdriver
  19. Dang, and here i thought I had a unique idea
  20. I had an interesting and probably not game-breaking idea for SS, though I don't know how feasible it would be to implement. What if Rage only crashed if you had it stacked? That way, there would be no change for the people that think the set is fine because they double stack Rage, but the people who want to avoid the crash can still just single-stack it Also, the -dam isn't the killer in Rage, the -def is.
  21. Sonic resonance is not weak, it's just not solo friendly Actually, since the current meta is building defense, sonic/ makes a great choice for teams because you fill in the resist hole. Now that being said, time/sonic is an incredibly powerful build, and kin/sonic has a lot of synergies to it.
  22. Frozen aura is a great power, it's basically foot stomp but with a sleep component.
  23. I would lean towards brute or tank. WP does best when you have more health, scrappers have the least health of the three. The rest is do you want more survivability or more damage? Brutes will do more damage, and you can build then to be survivable, but tanks will out survive brutes.
  24. You need an enemy target, you do not need a dead ally
  25. I think the only change I'd make to CoW is make it so it doesn't persist through death.
