  1. On live I had an Emp/Energy that was really tough to kill, even solo. I have a video somewhere of him killing Herecles (from Striga) on Invincible (those were the difficulty days). Alas, through multiple computer changes, I lost all of my builds and had to start from scratch. Here is what I'm thinking. I only have a handful of the IOs so far, everything I don't have will be attuned. a few caveats: this is a Repeat Offenders "Green Machine" build, meaning it needs to meet the following requirements: Heal Aura - required, 3 heal recommended, no recharge or endredux needed Heal Other - not required Clear Mind - required by level 20 Fortitude - required pick at level 12, slot with 2 defense at a minimum Recovery Aura - required pick at level 18, slot with three recharge as soon as possible Regeneration Aura- required pick at level 26, slot with three recharge as soon as possible, slot 3 heals in as well. Adrenalin Boost - required pick at level 32, slot with three recharge as soon as possible, strongly recommended to slot 2 heal, 1 endmod as well. Blast Powers Slotted Attacks are required, this is a project that is expected to kill things. Your blast nuke is a required pick at level 38. Don't worry, no end drop will bother you. Pool Powers Hasten - required by level 18, 3 slotted Assault - required by level 24 Tactics - required by level 24 (3 tohit buffs) note that these build requirements were made pre-IOs, so I am able to get away with a little bit of wiggle room on some of the slotting requirements. 2. You have to unlock them via a patron arc (any of the 4 work) these unlock at level 35. You can have 4 power pools +1 epic/Patron pool. the latter opens up at 35.
  3. Whoa, I did not know that... time for a couple of upgrades... at first I thought my 4' Stone tanker would be funny to go into giant granite, then I realized that 4' tanks have serious issues.
  4. any of my ranged "Natural" characters get Vorpal, it's the closest to a natural Judgement power we get other than mighty
  5. CoD Doesn't really interfere with aggro at all, I've used it on multiple dark tanks. Now, in an ideal world you could fit both that and Weave into the build.
  6. It also provides status resistance, which is why it is unique.
  7. Agreed, one of my mains on live was an Empathy/Energy and he absolutely destroyed stuff, I wish I still had his build, because the one I'm using is not as effective as it was on live.
  8. It may help to post your build. How many slots can you afford in it? Hasten is always a good choice, CJ if you only have 1 slot, Maneuvers if you can spare 3 slots, but like I said, it depends on what you can pull from. Boggle is also a good power if you can fit it in.
  9. ouch much? You skipped Static Field, which is your only reliable control before Synaptic Overload, You waited until 47 for Galvanic Sentinel? Paralyzing Blast won't do you any good without any Accuracy slotted, and as others said, you're better off proccing powers that have a lower recharge time. Jolting Chain, for example, the damage and -end are pretty pathetic, slotting it more with procs will do you better. Conductive Aura... I can see where you're coming from with the 5% global recharge, but it's better off with end mods so that you can actually drain enemies. Again, you don't have any other real control until Synaptic Overload is slotted.
  10. I rather like Bio/Fire, but Shield/Fire is probably a better set.
  11. the 7.5% is the Superior version. I didn't know it stacked either, the only power I've ever used it in is Acid Arrow from TA (Which causes it to proc almost every time) The only way to track it fires is the FF Bubble sound or looking at your health bar. and yes, it expires, but I don't know the duration, somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds I believe. I'm usually getting hit too much for it to matter 😛

    ?/EA

Right now Amp Up does *not* work on pets. I don't know if it is intended or not (I submitted a bug report but never heard back)
  13. Mace has Scorpion Shield for an extra LOTG mule if you need it Ice has Sleet and Frozen Armor (Though Frozen armor doesn't come until later) Leviathan has Water Spout, which is just fun 😛
  14. except for Energy Cloak IMO, I like to see my character TYVM
  15. Grant cover only affects allies, no you cannot give them set bonuses by slotting then into Grant cover
  16. I finally built a tank with Ron for a second slot in taunt. SR/BA. Usually I just one slot it with a Taunt/Rech enhancement and call it a day.

    ?/EA

I really like my Earth/EA, tons of control, with the two resist procs and Faraday Cage animate stone is capped to everything but s/l. Earth is a pretty good set and forget powerset so you can spend a bunch of time buffing and healing.
  18. You'd also want a secondary with power boost to help increase the duration further. Vanguard medallion only goes so far but on a permanent domination build, power boost ( or it's kins) well go a long way. If you had an electric affinity to give you Amp Up, that would help even more
  19. /jranger Empathy is one of the most powerful sets in the game and other than the over heal effect you've gutted it.
  20. Strength of will, if you can fit it in, is a great mule for the two +def iOs but that's about all I use It for on all of my wp tanks.
  21. my signature on the official forums had the line "What this team needs is more Defenders" I need to figure out how to add that here.
  22. each AT here has a breakdown of usefulness, I don't feel like converting to 0-255, but I pretty much agree with it. https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Archetypes Also, you have to look at specific ATs, Tanks, for example are going to have better Armor than Stalkers.
