Consider. You're in Bodyguard mode and you initiate attacking a group. You focus on the hardest target. A few minions are ignored and attack you and your henchies. Once the initial target is eliminated your henchmen will run back to you unless they are personally attacked. There is maybe one minion left. Decides to run. You immobilize it. Once you have control on that one target, your henchmen wont attack it unless you issue an attack order again. Is this a result of being in defensive stance? Do you switch to offensive stance at some point to stop this from happening? This is maybe the one thing that infuriates me the most. Just kill that guy! Why do I have to order you again? Grrrrrr...

War Mace is great on a tank. I really don't want to pick a worst tanker I ever played. I will say that I never played Stone Armor, Shield, or Axe, and really can't see ever doing that. I can't even remember seeing a Stone Armor tanker on Homecoming, although I am sure there are a few. The worst tank I ever saw played was a PB who thought he knew what he was doing but...nah.

I've got a SJ/WP scrapper I am currently working on. Do I need Fighting Pool? I hate it. I have it on one Brute, and one Corruptor. It actually seems to be more useful on the corr to be honest. From playing this set so far it seems as though I don't really need to care what I have resistance against, just so I out live the current grouping. Eat the holy trinity of inspirations, red, yellow, purple, and hope the RNG doesnt make me miss too many attacks in a row.

This sounds useful, but I do not know the answer. I'm just following to see what advice is given.

Hazard Zones: what might revitalize these?
KC4800 replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
I used to do this on live with my AR/Dev blaster. He loved to go all the way down to lvl 15 and shoot Calibans with his sniper rifle. -

What I did just yesterday: Took my lvl 50 Incarnate Fire tank, went to Ouro and chose the Freakolympics arc. That automatically reduced my lvl to 29. Then I went into Echo:Dark Astoria to the trenches around the temple where Adamastor spawns. There is an exploration badge down there, and I got to melt some lvl 29 BP spawns. Where there's a will, there's a way. You don't get purple recipes to drop, but you do get a lot of incarnate stuff. Ran around a zone section I don't typically see, and autoexemping made the spawns relevant. After that I only managed to do the first mission of Freakolympics, but that was still beaucoup Freaks. -
Hazard Zones: what might revitalize these?

My entire concern with using AE story arcs is the entire TF requirement of them. IF the Devs can figure out how to not require you to need a team for an entire 5 mission arc, but just allow you to invite teammates to finish that one mission with the EB or AV level mob in it. Most of the Dev choice arcs are perfectly soloable until you get to the AV at the end. If you could take that one mission to a mission door in a hazard zone and allow team invites to help that would be sweet, and make ae arcs a refreshing change. -
It is definitely situational. A big plus in the layer cake room, the terraced Oranbega room, and some office rooms. Outdoor missions too. It is sometimes glitchy for me with a pet on occasion not knowing where it is positionally and zips all around the map. Have to release and resummon if I want him in the fight. With all the negatives I can see why ev1 skips it. But you gotta try it once, right?

If you enjoy knocking enemies off of roofs Neutropolis is the place to play. You don't even have to fly. Just take the stairs.

The Warriors are boring - is that a problem?
KC4800 replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
The only Warriors I fear are the purple ones I have to sneak past in Talos when I'm trying to fight Tsoo and/or Freaks in my low 20's and I forgot to Stealth. -
I have 11-50's, and 12- sub 50's. I have 3 farmers that are tanks, only one has Fire Armor. I have 3 that I consider main characters. A lvl 4 fully incarnate Tank(Rad Armor/WM), an almost fully incarnate Controller(Illusion/TA), and an almost fully incarnate MM(Bots/Elec). My highest Vet level character is my Main tank, with around 98 Vet levels. My most populated server is Everlasting with 9, Indom and Torch bot have 5, Excelsior has 2, and Reunion has 2. Most of my Sub 50s are on Torchbearer. I only Farm for Influence, and not to power level through lower level content. There is always some new way to get there.

Powers with "Crunch"... and those without
KC4800 replied to oedipus_tex's topic in General Discussion
Also Sonic attack Shout, while not crunchy, is a heavy "Thud" -
Just found an arachnos room I've never seen before
KC4800 replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
The only thing that would make that room worse is if Arachnos had snipers. -
Sonic blast roots you for so long, it's kinda like Sonic Melee already.

Quick Answer: Someone who has never adjusted his difficulty settings. But what if you get on a great team and gain 2 levels before you get back to that mission in your list? at +0/X0 its too easy now. So you bump it up. Lets say +2/X0 now its should be the same difficulty to you as you left it before you gained 2 levels in that great team. But lets say now, you jump on a new character, you want to lead a team, and you have 3 good people who want to join you. Your 4 man team can't run at +0/X0. You bump it up to +1/X4. You breeze through that mission, bump it up to +2/X4. Next mission seems just right. You thank your team and log off. The next day, you're going to solo a bit. Find that +2/X4 is just way too hard, almost died in first group had to eat 2 lucks and all 3 of your health inspirations so you wouldn't die. Decide to drop it back. Lowest you can go now is -1/X1 player, that's too easy. Guess it's 0/X1 then. You wonder, but never ask, how come you can't go back to +0/0 again? What does that really mean anyway? You thought you knew, but do you really? I always thought 0/+0 meant to run the mission the way it was originally intended, before level adjustment was a thing. I suppose on most of the old content, that you see when you visit contacts the old school way, it does. The new mission arcs I wonder if there's any difference between +0/0 Players and +0/1 Players? Is there? Sorry for the long rambling post. Here's the ;tldr version: What does +0/0 really mean and why can't you go back to it once you've changed it? (Zero Team size means what?)

Is Level 50 your start, your end, or a foreign land?
KC4800 replied to Gentoo's topic in General Discussion
If I play a character past 50, its because I like the concept, the costume, his reliability. etc. IF a character falls into a one hit wonder sort of thing, it gets stale. I'll make every effort to try new tactics, but if it doesn't work out, I'll stop playing with the character. I put a premium on characters that are versatile. -
You run a Merc because you want a challenge. Until it makes you punch yourself in the head and say why did I do this. I'm still defiantly running a Merc/Poison. I have started wearing a helmet.

Plus, it can light Oil Slicks.

W pushes you to fly forward. R maintains forward motion, until you tap W again. Thats how I do it, no extra keybinds necessary.

I have 4 Phrendon Largo's running around on four servers. All are tanks, but with completely different powersets.

I noticed this as well yesterday after loading the latest NVIDIA driver. I lowered the gamma setting a bit, and raised my monitor brightness to compensate. I ended up abandoning an Oranbega arc that became almost unplayable due to the difference. ;/ (old eyes)

Well, we have the Freakolympics, at least.

Incarnate selections... Which fully effect our pets? Are there best choices?
KC4800 replied to Yipp's topic in Mastermind
My Bots/EA MM uses and highly recommends Robotic Drones Lore Pets. A great additional boost to ST ranged damage for those hard to kill targets.
