  1. I have one corruptor with Fold Space, but he is NRG/Traps. He sets a Trip Mine and a Poison Trap, Caltrops, then another Mine. Then Power Boost, Aim Fold Space, and Blammo, Explosion. Slivers of health are cleared with Energy knockback attacks.
  2. You can see the council fighting the 5th column on the streets of Founders Falls.
  3. I only have one alt that I feel can safely handle +4/8 solo all the time, and that is my Fire/Savage tanker. My other tankers are +3/8 most of the time. 2 controllers I usually run at +3/5, not because they cannot handle an 8 person spawn, but because the spawns are sometimes too close together and too much chance of chaos. I have an incarnate stalker that runs at +4/2. And a level 30 ish stalker that runs at +2/2. One incarnate dom runs at +3/3. All the rest of my blasters, corruptors, defenders run at +2/2 (no bosses). My incarnate MM's can run at +3/6. Or +4/4 if incarnate missions. I don't run many Brutes or Scrappers. Although I could focus on min/maxing more to get more alts to handle +4 baddies, I don't really see a reason for it. How do you handle the solo difficulty settings? Do you only have fun when you have a real chance to faceplant? I play most alts with a self imposed restriction that if I die in this mission, I go back to the base and log out of that character, at least 24 hrs.
  4. Energy Blast/ Traps Corruptor is a pretty Bad Combo. Not that you can't make it work solo, but teaming is quite hard. Especially with melee teammates. I have one, in my own personal SG called Bad Combinations. I love playing him, but 95% of the time he's solo working his craft. I have had to answer more than once why I don't use KB to KD in my blasts. But the KB is too important when soloing. When I run force field generator, that puts my ranged defense over 45%; therefore, I need to keep from getting punched in the face. Knock them back into ranged attacks. Throw caltrops, keep them away. It's fun but it's a lonely existance sometimes.
  5. I have a thugs/empathy MM with pacify, provoke and unrelenting. The presence pool is really meant for a Mastermind. I bet an Illusion controller could use it as well to great effect.
  6. I love SJ's bonus power because, with Parkour Stance, you do flips in mid air when you let off the space bar.
  7. Yeah, I used Phantom Army too...and Lore Pets, so I guess not as impressive and it could have been. But ..I didn't need any other real players, who would have helped had I asked. But I wanted to try to murder that big robot without aid. Success. Badge obtained. On to the next mission.
  8. How I pulled this off with my Ill/TA controller: Triggered the mission in Steel Canyon, while I was in the tech store near Posi and Valkirie. When I exited the store it was standing on the steps of the building across the street. I zipped right towards Ascendant chatting on his phone. He immediately started tanking the Titan GM. I went around the big statue and stood with Posi and Valkirie. They were not aggroed yet. I needed to pull the Titan towards them. I used my Phantom Army for that while debuff arrows were flying from my trusty TA arsenal. I eventually got both Posi and Valkirie interested. With all 3 NPC attacking along with PA, I was able to whittle down Kronos GM with debuffs and calling on my Lore pets. Got the Badge, and really pissed off Malta.
  9. I have a Rad/Water Blast Defender in the mid 40's that I love to solo with. From Rad I took the standard 3: LR, EF and RI. Did not take the Healing Aura. Did take Accelerate Metabolism. Also took Choking Cloud and EMPulse. Took all the secondary powers. Took all the Experimentation Power Pool, minus Speed of Sound, opting to fly instead. Took Stealth as well. I turned off all green inspiration drops as a challenge opting to rest instead if I ever take damage. That allows more room for break frees in my tray, until I get to incarnate status you need them with a rad defender.
  10. Don't they know we already know how to fly?
  11. My two must haves are infiltration(slotted with a celerity:stealth) and combat TP. However since you are a dom and recharge is important, I'd think Hasten and then either CJ or Hover for a LotG+Rech.
  12. I come here for info or sparks of inspiration. Someone may comment on how they slotted a certain power, that will get me looking into making that power more effective on one of my builds. I shy away from argumentative posts or opinion sharing unless I feel it is positive. I wish I was a better tester, but I am just not. I don't look at numbers, I play by feel. That's hard to quantify.
  13. For a point of reference, I will say that slotting, for instance, a full set Superior Gauntleted Fist into your Whirling Hands would give 81.4% acc boost. I use this and Focused Acc from Energy Mastery. I use this tank for +4 content. My single target attacks are at least 75% boosted. I also use Resilient Core which adds a 20% to hit buff.
  14. My fire/savage tank uses Diamagnetic Core as well as my Beam Rifle/Ninjitsu Sentinel. One is resistance based, one is defense based. I would think the resistance based tank would receive more benefit. My sent never seems to get hit by anything but what do I know? We cant see the numbers anyway. My interface choices are probably pretty arbitrary. I use gravitic on my ice tank AND my Ice stalker who both don't need help with slows. Is it doing anything at all for them? who knows?
  15. Malta-favorite with a tech or natural character. Carnies-favorite with a Controller or Dominator Toughest Factions - Praetorian Family, Rogue Vanguard, Longbow Need better lore. Rularuu Something that hasn't been done yet, or I just haven't found yet in the AE. Praetorian Clockwork in the special Psy. Clockwork tower map, would be very challenging, depending on your power sets.
  16. Thats my experience too. To try to alleviate the tedium, I was going between PI and Kallisti Wharf, while in PI ( I knew I wasn't the only one clicking presents, a WL never spawned there), while in KW I got the message that a WL was wreaking havok after I clicked but it wasn't in my location. I eventually found him. I was solo and there was no one else in the zone that I could see. I tried to kill him but couldnt make a dent so I bolted.
  17. Use your candy canes and buy all the old badges...that ought to fill your stockings.
  18. Welcome to your Doom! (wait...that's not this game)
  19. I agree! Especially getting three of them aggroed on my Ice Tank at once. You'd think an ice tank could handle not getting Knocked about, but 3 singularitys at once makes it almost impossible to get off an attack. I felt like I was inside an Orville Reddenbacher Popcorn popper. They are boss level but have Elite in the name. My vote for worst boss.
  20. I use it on just about all of my characters. Especially the ones with SJ.
  21. Yes I do remember there are two badges. And although I have yet to create an insta lvl 50 PvP only character, it is good to know they can get to, say Bloody Bay, but disappointed they can not do the zone instanced missions. I guess they can only street sweep and kill each other.
  22. Im not sure most players even remember they still exist. I do run them, mostly to test how my hero does against Arachnos or my vigilante can beat up some dirty hero corp. The rewards are about the same as regular missions as far as I can tell, so why not run them occasionally? Anyway thats my perspective. Anyway my suggestion is: Implement a few instanced missions in Recluse's Victory, that those players who made an instant lvl 50 PvP zone only character could access, as well as any normal player, like myself, who enjoys the thrill of entering a PvP zone, just to race to a door while invisible, could enjoy. My thought being it would be a good area to test your PvP only build since I do not believe they can access an AE anywhere. And it would give me, a non PvPer a reason to enter Recluse's Victory and poke fun at Castle.
