You might want to ask Mr Turtle

I've had a couple hundred before, but I generally buy convertors and turn around and sell them to change them into cash on hand.

Whatever the cap is for hero merits. It used to be 9999, but with hero merits, you can convert 50 to 1 on the same char, and then back them out.

So literally, 9999 is the cap for _regular_ merits, but hero merits at a 50 to 1 ratio have a different cap. Wouldn't be surprised if that was 9999 also.... but I dont have anyone with 500k merits to test it with.

and hero merits are transferable, right?

Thanks for the replies.

I appreciate it as one of my characters is 9899 right now.

I always knew I could do the conversion but got curious on the 'raw' amount.

Thanks!

I see a lot of people saying 9,999 but, surprisingly, that's wrong.

The actual number of reward merits you can carry is 10,000.  (I tested this by earning enough to put me at 10,005.)

This means:

1. The interface display can handle a 5 digit number.

2. The internally stored max value must be at least 32,767 (because math).

So that 10,000 cap was an arbitrary decision and it could just as easily have been 15,000 or 20,000 or 25,000 or 30,000.

Do you wanna know how I got these Merits? Waves hand dramatically at a bag full. My player--twitches--was an exploiter and a leech, and one day he goes out to an MSR and joins the league, putting another player on follow with an AoE on auto. Suspiciously looks around the thread.

Now another player finds this out, and they're not happy. Irritatingly licks the corner of mouth. Not. One. Bit.

And they ask the League Lead to kick him for leeching. So the lead asks if he's there, and my player, well, he gets back on the keyboard and he types...

WHY. SO. SERIOUS?

And his AoE goes off again on auto in the then-empty bowl.

Yeah, m'kay.  But, why don't you have any merits, tho?  C'mon, man- get out there and play the game.  😛
