SECRET Event this weekend! (9/18/25-9/21/25)

* Sorry, no special badges for defeating the giant pirate or collecting chests.  International Talk Like A Pirate Day is a minor holiday . . . if it's even a holiday at all.  Maybe we can add more booty next year.

I like this.  Its a fun little bit of fluff that speaks to love of the game and of fun over balancing risk vs rewards or appeasing crowd X or Z.  The absence of rewards of any tangible form other than normal XP and a little salvage make it something that you don't have to grind and repeat of all your alts.  It doesn't choke up a zone or turn it into a lag fest yet still encourages teaming to defeat whatshisnut, Bladehook and also gives those who want to solo ALL TEH AVs there thing.

 

Plus, I will often spend most of a work day on the 19th talking like a pirate for fun and frolic so bonus.

 

Well done, devs. Really well done.

Yeah, even if there's no special rewards for it this is very poor form.  Secrets are only fun for the people in the know.  And releasing an update with no patch notes?  What???

On *all* of my toons, I set up a tab called "Zone" which has Hero/Villain/Praetorian Zone Event channels included.

I want to be able to trap this Ghost Pirates at Fort Hades and cause a zone invasion and a Giant Monster Ghost Ship firing cannons and spawning more ghost pirates.

 

 

Tried trapping these Pirates at the Fort btw, doesn't work... was very sad, also tried getting him to fight GoS in Sharkhead didn't work.. the KW trick with the AV does work. was very interesting to say the least which really just showed how buggy this event is or is KW zone bugged?!
