  1. Doing Mr. G's mission: "Send the Family a message" and while fighting Vitto, he ducked under a wall around [-4132.1 -34.9 -635.5] and ran off for a bit. Turns out, players can follow and explore a copy of St. Martial.
  2. I'm under no illusion that this will do more than cut a few, but when someone complains about freedom of speech, etc... it's easy to reference. It wouldn't take up any real space. It's just a suggestion, and along with the tips occasionally popping it up is just to keep it in mind. One of the points someone said up thread was some games have licensed skins of IP characters. Maybe something that points out we don't pay fees to license any of that would help? This discussion has probably run it's course and may have some discussed points for the council in it to work on. If something happens, fine, if not, fine.
  3. Well, while there's plenty of ways to present, maybe putting something visible at these two points of login & char creation would help. Something in the verbage near the top, possibly in Red before clicking Accept and something to the left on the character creation screen.
  4. Any metal bands use banjos?
  5. I usually see it while they're zoning, but it's not consistent
  6. I am Snarkacus! And so's my wife.
  7. Yea, that happened just when I was about to log last night, but on Everlasting. Just now, was able to claim my items (while in base) though did get the warning on the first item while still getting it. I suspect the server maintenance was due to some internet shenagins, I got some unrelated time outs with some sites around then.
  8. Nope. Works exactly the same as before. Some hostages were able to be teleported, and some were not. Some work with ATT, some do not. Dr Todd is one of the more popular ones that ATT works with. Generally, if they engage in combat, they can be teleported, but it's not an always.
  9. Even in that case, the computer company had to settle a case with Apple Records.
  10. Yep. I think there's some trademark/copyright genericing stuff that while if you went thru a court would turn out to be ruled in your favor, the problem is, you'd have to go to court to iron that all out. So to avoid having to involve lawyers, the generic hammer should be used on edge cases. a) Shows you care about defending other people's IP b) And, less legal expenses.
  11. I remember stealthing to the end (as the plan) and started ATT when the tank ran up to me with all the agro on them. After the smoke from all the AOE's cleared, both of us were face planted. <This snarky pug memory brought to you by Liberty Cola>
  12. I don't do them often, but the chatter has mostly been similar to Excelsior chatter on the raid. Occasionally goes off the rails, but that may explain the push for instanced versions being run to boot the ones being annoying. Though the ignore function is a handy tool, I usually add a Note with commentary of why they have a one star.
  13. Yes. When Cryptic bought the Champions Universe IP to use with Champions Online in 2009. Nothing to do with City of Heroes. They redesigned some stuff, and iirc, the only two characters not transferred over were Harbinger of Justice (Steve Long's char) and Darren Watts' Dr. Silverback. They then crammed the IP into a reskinned Marvel setting
  14. Dependent on faction. Loyalists would probably have Enriche mentioned.
  15. I've been working on a log parser of my own and one thing I have noted is that there is nothing in the initial login that tells us what server we're on. I can do that within the Message of the Day for any Supergroup that I am in control of, but it's a bit kludgy. (My other workaround is hitting /whereami on login, but that takes an action) What I propose is changing the two Welcome messages available to Welcome to City of Heroes, $servername Server, $charname! Now entering the Rogue Isles, $servername Server, $charname! And sidenote, Praetoria should have it's own welcome.
  16. Well yea, any team based badge is inaccessible to those that exclusively solo. If you were inclined, many TFs can be done in less than 20. I was just thinking on advertised, I saw a few Diversity teams being formed early in the badge history. Now, I just see Mirror being advertised for
  17. Play enough TFs and you wind up with it without planning, so I think the badgers got it easily. Mirror takes a little setup.
  18. I have a few characters with it. Mostly ones that got it when it was introduced and I didn't respec yet. You can toss a celerity stealth in it to boost Its stealth. It's not a conscious choice on any of my builds
  19. I was stuck in England back in 2000 and I can't count how many times I had someone come up to me and start speaking Dutch. I'm 6'8" and blonde, and understand just enough to recognize it to be able to say I wasn't Dutch. Thankfully, most Europeans speak english better than me...
  20. That's why they all have helmets, though they should all have dents and scuffs on them
  21. There are ways to be CDO here, but it's a minefield to get there.
  22. Just means those contacts don't have that many missions. Others, you'll fill the bar and only be 25% done with what they offer.
  23. My current group of chars for travel tend to be in popularity are Teleport, Flight, and Superjump. Mystic flight is in there somewhere. I have a few chars that don't have any of the pools, a couple that use infiltration. The couple percentage that I would get from tightening them up are usually made up for on teams, and for solo stuff, I can set my own pace.
