  1. A lot of farms had a bunch of fire melee, so it "must" have been done vs farming. Since farmers are fairly adaptive and could just change their farms, or just use other methods, I don't think that's the reason. My bio/fire tank got a bit of a boost out of the deal.
  2. I did have that issue with my laptop as well, but replaced it awhile ago since it was a 2012 model.
  3. I wasn't trying to argue either. It's an extra benefit that is easily picked up if you're doing the exploration. And the OP has already been answered.
  4. iirc, -res can have that effect
  5. And as someone who plays it different than you, I gave my reasons and they are free to do whatever they want, but if they want the accolades, then that may help.
  6. While getting all the explore badges in Atlas is the point to get the LRTP, a lot of people pickup the history badges in Atlas to get those out of the way and you don't have to think later if you got them. I tend to go for all the explore and history in Atlas, Boomtown, Bricks, Echo: DA, Echo: Galaxy, Founders, IP, Kings Row, Perez Park, Skyway, Steel Canyon, Talos, and Terra Volta That covers all the stat accolade requirements fort explore badges or history. It's more than needed, but lets you mark those zones as "done"
  7. And here I thought that was pretty low flying
  8. Sounds like the download didn't quite work. I did that recently and my file is 55390511 size. Try removing the mod, run HC to be sure nothing else stops it, then try applying again
  9. hmm, i might have some cards somewhere. I'll have to check. wouldn't be very many
  10. If I haven't picked up the Ouro portal before hitting the Edge of Chaos exploration badge, I just pop into RV since it's no longer level restricted and get it that way.
  11. Blazing Blast is a bit of an odd duck, but it's got some fun uses. Single target Repel's can be pretty handy, especially when you can aim for a wall or such. I did note I could easily knock my target out of range for followups. 😉
  12. Rule 34.
  13. I think it was because they were mandatory to be installed by 1968 and Batman was all about safety. Really depended on which car manufacturer if they always had them, or it was optional before then. I think a lot of european imports already had them at least for the front seats.
  14. In regards to thinking someone is stupid, I constantly run across people that were told how something works, and it either was changed, or it worked through an elaborate game of telephone to be a bit warped. And we're also getting people that played the game on live and they sorta remember some stuff which got changed on live, but after they quit. That can warp some expectations as well. It's why I often will go to the beta server to spin up some tests just to double check my memory since ~18 years of time has passed on some of this... Of course, there are some things that people do because there was one way to do things to avoid a bug and it's now fixed, but they still do it the "safe" way just in case it reappears. Which to be fair, happened on live quite a bit, most likely due to merging branches of code.
  15. Looks like it's back up
  16. There are a few of those. Especially as first missions from a contact. (Tina & Maria for example) After that, it's fairly random unless you have too many arcs active already. I've done the roulette wheel to get Maria's Siege mission for example. And yea, abandoning is pretty forgiving. Even if you start a mission, come out, select a different mission from your list, choose abandon pregress, then call up the contact and abandon the mission, you can call the contact back and get a different one. It's how people get the Invader badge in 20 minutes by just popping into the Mayhem map, grab the explore badge, and exit. The mission holder is usually just hanging out at Lord S' location.
  17. You can often abandon the mission and try picking up again. It's the same method to get the police radio to give you the mission type
  18. One place HOs (and their Ilk) work well is for the times people turn off set bonuses for the TF. Old School Recluse for instance.
  19. I believe you are correct. Probably can test this out for certain on Everlasting when there's the weekend Abyss Hami. Do the midnight Hami in the hive, then the Abyss Hami the next day in the afternoon, then the 7pm Hami. Should be on reduced rewards for the Abyss, but back to first run for the 7pm
  20. Four Emp Merits or a HO for any level 50. 80 Merits for the first run of the day for a character. 40 Merits on subsequent ones. (I think the timer is 18 hours, I don't know if the timer starts then, or after the second Hami?)
  21. I think you should post the build for the character and check the Stealth Radius in Combat Attributes. Also, why would you not get Field Operative? It's provides Regen & Endurance recovery
  22. "Useless L" should be genericed IMO, but I'm also not a GM. There is a thread where one of the GMs did discuss the reason they don't have a hard rule, but I think the generic hammer is often done in sweeps when it gets pointed out. And context matters. There's a definite line, but it's more a range than a binary. And sometimes it might take a couple reports to take action. Also, there is the chance the person changed the name back. I'm not sure how robust the reporting system is for HC or if they have a routine for checking to see if someone just changed the name back (despite the warning that should not be done)
  23. I suspect a lot of people just run Hami for merits. I tend to run a char thru to get some extra emp merits when they first hit 50. If not, I tend to just get the reward merits. HOs are a roulette reward. Occasionally you'll get one worth more than 40 reward merits. At least that's how I feel about it.
  24. As someone who threw together a Energy/Dev Blaster recently as a lark, then found out it's a fun combo, I appreciate the builds guys. (I also need to brush up on my usage of JSON readers since I don't use mids...) And here's my build that works well enough for what I play them in. Tends to be more a solo or duo and great for setting up a bunch of trip mines while I make dinner... Nothing in particular chased and as long as I don't play too reckless very serviceable. blaster_energy_dev.txt
