... I read the T4 as "Clarity of Mud." >.< For some reason I'm picturing this set getting a bit chaotic during play, but in a fun way. (And as far as missing KB protection, well... fire, dark.)
-
Which is different from: You'll note that's you saying that. Percentage to drop, rewards at the end of missions/arcs - these are "other ways to get these" that are not raids. And before you try to say anything else, I said "You get them for killing Rikti." You kill rikti, you roll the dice on getting a V-merit. You kill multiple Rikti, you get multiple chances on V-merits. You know, like... if you're street sweeping, or on a mission, or on a task force with Rikti, or fighting off an invasion. Things that are not raids. So, yes. Congrats. You've managed to start off my dead wife's birthday by pissing me off with your lack of reading comprehension. Thanks *ever* so much.
-
You. Get. Vanguard. Merits. For. Killing. Rikti. Not "just on the MSR." YOU, meanwhile, stated : That's you. Highlighted for your convenience. In other words, no, you are incorrect. Yes, you get V-merits for killing Rikti on the mothership. This is *one way to do so of several.* In fact, it TELLS YOU THIS ON THE VERY PAGE YOU QUOTED TO TELL ME I WAS WRONG, if you bothered to read the rest of the page: You'll note this is different from what you stated. These are... now wait for it... *other ways to get v-merits.* And thus, other ways to get the same rewards *without needing to raid.* And in case you still don't believe it:
-
Incorrect. You get them (at least the first two) for vanguard merits. You get vanguard merits by being a member of vanguard and defeating Rikti. You don't need to do an MSR. Any Rikti killed anywhere will give them. So, no, you don't "have to" raid. Run the RWZ arcs. Run the repeatables. Kill Rikti in zone. Kill Rikti in invasions. The third... pfft, isn't that a reward for Lady Grey? Or... well, made with shards, which drop while doing other things. Congrats. You can ignore MSRs all you want now.
-
Everyone can. Not everyone does, or wants to, despite how the forums (or Help or general) may sound at times. Then again, I don't care. I just want interesting people with interesting characters to team with that at least try.

League forms. Spot opens in zone. Fly over, jump in the middle of the ship, get badge, zone out. And... yeah. For the OP? Don't like the raid? Don't do it. Simple as that. No need to try to drench the forum in tears about it. We've got a good, fun group on Everlasting that does it every night. Plenty of *other* badge progress if that's what you're after (damage, mez, damage taken, healing, etc.) Merits on top of merits. Dropship hunt when we're done for yet another bunch of reward merits and a badge. Leechers get warned and kicked. All 'round pleasant and fun.

Question about Devouring Earth power, sting.
Greycat replied to KaizenSoze's topic in General Discussion
It's simple to get around - the main issue is that it's not *obvious* you need to prepare for it or to pick up the workaround. It's not mentioned anywhere at all as far as I know. If you've been doing RWZ arcs, you should have V-merits enough to pick up Nectembo's Curse Breaker from the V-merit consoles. But it's not pointed out anywhere (except in the description, I think.) So it's really a "you have to know this already" thing, which... yeah, isn't great. -
Question about Devouring Earth power, sting.
Greycat replied to KaizenSoze's topic in General Discussion
It was probably set that way intentionally by the same person who gave you Malta stuns and Curse of Weariness... -
First bit of sit-down-and-build in ... ages. Nothing above the map, etc. but still... comfy little bookstore. Witha spot out back. (That Witch Was, Everlasting.)

I like Poison. First set I accidentally soloed an AV on. Only things I'd like on it that I can think of off the top of my head, especially on a MM, are a faster heal (and/or make it AOE, right now it's just ... yeah...) and, as mentioned, alternate animations.
-
You tempt the code demons... 🙂 But on the other hand, people make really obnoxious characters *now,* so... 😄 Anyway... yeah, I mean, I don't have any use for some of the hairstyles *now,* crossing over could have some possibilities. *shrug* We no longer have the dev from live who was absolutely adamant that "this is for this gender only, men can't have shoulder kittens!" after all.

Both my current and last notebooks have run COH fine. Last one was an Acer VX15, main quirk with it was convincing it to use the external graphics (and an external monitor would only use the integrated graphics, which rather sucked.) Currently on a Lenovo Legion 5 15", which has no problem with it.

Pretty much the only time I give unsolicited anything is - "nice costume/nice bio/love the name" and/or occasionally dropping super/winter packs, purples, ATOs, etc. on people. Now, if I walk by and someone's complaining about always running out of END or something, I might - I'd consider that "semi-solicited." But most things like that tend to be in a help channel or actually posed as questions. But just "Hey, you should be running XYZ" or something.... no.
-
Yeah, I know I ran him back in the day, but I don't recall. He may *have* had sonic powers, just not the full set we have (and the mishmash of sounds.... ugh.)
-
Ugh. don't remind me how *utterly stupid* it is to have a foreign power's armed forces occupying part of a US city... (And yes, I feel the same way about Longbow in Mercy, but they're not essentially the US military.)

[Costume Contest!] Hero Corps Makes a Triumphant Return!
Greycat replied to The Caretaker's topic in Developer's Corner
Slight modification to fit with requirements, but ... Operative Santiago from a *very* early (as in one of the first on live...) AE arc, Hero Corpse... (yes, I did still have the file and publish it here, too.) HC Santiago2.costume -
How do you afford art? (A discussion, not a question)
Greycat replied to _Kai_'s topic in Art & Multimedia
Didn't notice this topic before, just did while looking through for something else. I don't really commission any more. In part because a lot of the people I used to commission are gone, or not taking commissions or whatnot, and in part because I like messing around with my own via Daz Studio - which, honestly, I initially picked up in order to *help* kind of illustrate ideas and such for commissions I wanted! When I was commissioning (back on live,) it was very much a "groceries bought, bills are paid, and I have an idea," sometimes mixed with "and they're on sale" or "ooh, nice style, I'll commission them for a piece." Sometimes I'd budget and save up if there's someone I knew would cost more. It really varied, but... yeah. Basics first. -
Aside from the profit model arguments, there are a few other problems. One, we don't have all the tools the original developers had. Sure, you can say "I want a new robot model," and hire someone who can create it and send a 3d model over. Now make it compatible with the game... We've gotten to where we can extract things and mix and match a bit. Creating completely from scratch, though? And two, this shouldn't become a plutocracy. If people really want (say) pet customization, but I can throw another $500 in and want frilly tutus exclusive to the "huge" body type, why should I go to the front of the line or have any more weight thrown to what I want? No, let's step well wide of this little minefield.

There's actually a slightly different priority, at least for my reasoning for clearing it the way I do: *Sightlines.* That first path (Mission entrance to henge?) Yes, you're going that way anyway and want it cleared - but it's also the primary path runners take. You see something there, it's going for the door, you stop it. Second area (the "rear area?") It is a path, but it's also hard to keep an eye on. Clear it, and you don't have to worry about it. Third area you hit is the farmer's field and barn - since partway in this becomes a popular path, and there's less to tab-target on. You see something and it's moving, it's probably running for the henge. Easy intercept. Final area's just cleanup. I generally do it this way just so it's *really* easy to see if I have something I need to catch. The fact I'm also clearing stuff before it can run is pretty muchjust a bonus. 😉
-
Pfft, next you'll want the people you rescue in missions to actually be able to *follow* you. Crazy talk. 🙂

Nothing official, no.

When will the game be rebalanced around IOs? Never, and here's why.
Greycat replied to Luminara's topic in General Discussion
<snip> If that's what you're getting from it, you're sorely misreading it. Yes, I do it by choice. Just like I don't do master runs - I don't want a death thanks to the RNG or something stupid being the reason others don't get the badge they're after. But that's *not* the reasoning at all. Accessibility is. The very first line of my reply to you should have made that clear. Just because many of us on the forum here, and likely the people we directly play with, can IO out a character (both in terms of theorycrafting a build and affording to, or knowing how to afford to build one,) doesn't make it the majority or even necessarily common. As mentioned, just a few minutes listening to the Help channel should make that clear. It's one thing if *I* do something off the wall (the "launch issue simulation" where I'm doing things like picking powers to simulate having to take the fitness pool, not taking powers 'til later levels, etc. or an all-pool-power build.) I'm doing that intentionally and know the limitations. This suggestion isn't that. Hell, the basic "Here's how to make an IO" tutorial doesn't even come up automatically any longer. We have people asking about *that.* So content *requiring* full bulds (and again, we have to go down the rabbit hole of what a "proper" build is for this, making it even more exclusionary and making builds *more* cookie-cutter) - well, that's something I'll generally argue against. -
I really wish there were the opposite of that one, that actually *prevents* Fast Snipe. I mean, I'll use fast snipe because it's *there,* but I find myself waiting for it to decide I haven't attacked and am not under attack when I just want to take out a minion or LT I know will be trouble ahead of time.

This. As I'm reading the OP, you basically want Halloween year round, though not with the event mobs off-season. No freaking thanks. I'm just remembering how annoying it gets with the doors at Point du Hoc when gathering for an MSR during that time of year when it's just constant door click - ambush. Having that year round would be *exceptionally* annoying. Especially if people could start doing it, say, waiting for a teammate to arrive at the mission, all of a sudden you've got a pile of mobs someone else spawned... Ugh. I'd rather play C&C 4, and I don't even admit that game exists.
