It's a question of server philosophies. HC's trying to show themselves to be good, thoughtful stewards of the game. Others like throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks (and what bursts into flame.)

1. by default, Print Screen (PRTSCR) will do it. Some people say they have issues with this - I haven't, but I don't keep this in the default directory Windows wants to put things in. If you're using the Homecoming launcher, there's even a button on the top for Screenshots so you can find it. (And if you click back one breadcrumb on the top once it opens your window, you'll be in the main game folder. Useful if you need to get to /accounts and dig into chat logs, for instance, if you're saving them.) 2. If you're trying to capture something like a dialog box or window (which it sounds like,) /screenshotui 1 will capture the screen and windows. /screenshotui 0 will turn that off. (And just plain /screenshot will also take a screenshot.) 3. For some things, the game won't capture it (character select, tailor screen, etc.) I seem to recall the Windows print screen is ... iffy on that (works sometimes, other times you get a black screen.) Something like the snipping tool Windows comes with (Mac has something simliar) can capture that.

So, messing with a base that's (finally) more decorative again. More a setting than anything. And I'm remembering a few of the little annoyances that I'd really love to be able to have options to deal with. One is clicking to move/adjust something and, despite having it highlighted, despite having your mouse on it, having the editor decide "No! You want this other thing over here!" Now, granted, if you move it, you can ctrl-Z now. But I moved a grass plate (a level down below the "floor" (raised structure) a few dozen times when that was *definitely* not what I was trying to adjust. (This is a bookstore. Tweaking the position of shelves = move shelf. Select next shelf. "Dammit, not the grass again..." ) I'd love to be able to select an item and, once I have it right where I want it, click something to lock it in place and make it unable to be selected by clicking. (If you have to undo that, it's still in the "current room" tab - which, yeah, for large, large bases can be a pain, granted - and you'd be able to unlock it there.) The other thing - and I know this has to have been asked about at some point - is to be able to designate a set of items as a group. Say, the chalet rafters and beams, or a wall of books, or the various catwalks and other fences and railings we have. Some things are easier to set up on the ground and adjust, then raise/rotate/etc. to where you want them.

Event salvage - for now, ignore. It's things like halloween and winter salvage used for rewards (costume slot, etc.) for those events. Ignore converters and catalysts for now. (Drop the converters on the auction house if you need money, learn about converting stuff later.) If you open up your enhancement tray, you've got 7 trays that can hold 10 enhancements each. They'll start filling in, either from stuff dropped during missions as you defeat enemies or enhancements you craft, from the first tab to the last. If you're spending INF and salvage and recipes are being used up, they're in there somewhere. Sell off your (non IO, non Hamidon, etc. - just the standard SO) enhancements, move the rest to the auction house (don't sell them unless you want to, this is just for storage.) Your enhancement tray should now be empty. Look for recipes ready to craft. If you craft them, they should start showing up in enhancement tray, tab 1. Find some that are grey. Click to open them. They'll tell you what you need for salvage - just buy it from the auction house. Craft the ones that look useful or interesting. You'll be using up salvage and spending INF, but they should be showing up in your enhancement trays.

I can get others to build. When I have the time and energy, I can build - somewhat. But part of why I like this idea is just for those times I'd want a spark or starting point that I can take, get some inspiration and start to modify, on top of just the "I want a base layout that looks nice but I just don't have time / am having issues with the editor/etc."

Eh. I think we'd see... maybe a month as everyone tries it, the badgers get their badges... then they'd be mostly empty. Not fond of having the PVP zones only accessed through the arena, though. I like easy access at level like it is now.

PB/WS Forms 'No Effects' Customization
Greycat replied to Dawnbringer829's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Honestly, if you just want to stay in human form... play human form. Given IOs and such, you can buff yourself up fairly well and/or perma things (Eclipse being up, Light Form being up, etc.) You'll be accessing more 4, 5 and 6-slot set bonuses as well from not having to slot form powers. -
Now? None, really. Maybe a brief wait. Back in the day of 1.1m debt caps, less content, etc? It meant a slog for my "how many levels with how much debt?" blaster trying to get from the mid-late 30s to 40 so I could get contacts again.

request Null the Gull inside RWZ base.

... What's the difference? It's in Suggestions, it's there for the devs to see and determine themselves. .... see the rest of the thread. This has been brought up already. -
Add an option to autoaccept resurrections
Greycat replied to nihilii's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
There *may* be a timing thing there. I know if I hit a self-rez (or awaken, I think) at the same time someone rezzes me, I can accept the rez and get full health/END. But it's touchy on timing. -
Add an option to autoaccept resurrections
Greycat replied to nihilii's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm ... reasonably sure it is. I've tried to rez someone and had the power not go off, because someone else has already tried. (Edit - just tried right then, that is.) (Then had it work and not rez because that timer expired and they're still afk or dc'd.) -

You're "all for increased accessibility," yet arguing with people saying to have it accessible in two places it would be handy to have... Which is it? -

We regularly move people around in leagues. You can see it drop from people when they move. -

I log on just after work for an MSR. Zone is nearly full. I have a choice - go to the MSR and enjoy time with people I like, or go down to Pocket D and get locked out. So, no. Hamidon raids can go straight from that to the MSR. If I'm melee, I may very *much* want to be affected by group fly for one, and *not* in the MSR immediately after - and, again, wanting to play with certain folks means the extra time zoning, changing, and coming to another zone may mean I don't *get* to get into that other zone. That is an utterly nonsensical reply. Do better. Again. THERE IS NO INDICATOR. You know, someething I can check to see if I *have* to go do so. Which, again, means potentially getting locked out of a zone. You're being deliberately obtuse here. -

It is not. -

Greycat replied to wjrasmussen's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
You realize you can want it on in some circumstances and off in others, right? And that people can make a *lot* of characters, and there's no indicator for if you have it on or off on any specific one, right? "There are 35 levels to remember!" doesn't address any of that. Having access that doesn't risk getting locked out of the zone by leaving it does. -

Greycat replied to wjrasmussen's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Everlasting MSRs are group-fly friendly. And it's useful for (some) masterminds, so no, you don't have them turn it off. As far as "well, turn it off in any of the previous levels" - I have 100-odd characters. I challenge you show me where, immediately on login, I can see that I've had that turned off or on. The *only* ones I know I have it selected a certain way are... the ones I've personally taken group fly on. -

Greycat replied to wjrasmussen's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Except the decision to want it or not want it can change depending on circumstance. Or, well, you may think you *have* turned it off on that character, but haven't... since there's no indicator at all that you've declined group fly other than being affected by it. -

Greycat replied to nihilii's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Personally, I'd want it the other way around. If I'm rezzing someone and they don't accept? Drop my cooldown on the rez so it's available again. (Obviously not for AOE rezzes like HT or Barrier.) Probably a nightmare to mess with in the code, but... it'd *really* be handy. -
You didn't read my signature, did you. 😉 (I'm primarily, almost exclusively, on Everlasting.)

Greycat replied to wjrasmussen's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Given - at least on Everlasting - dropping down to Pocket D to switch it may mean you can't get back in the zone, since they fill really quick - yes, this would be a nice idea. Moreso since people may be coming in from (say) the Hami raid right before where they may *want* to be affected by group fly, and then not want to on the MSR. (Personally I still think it should just be a slash command to turn on or off. Even better if you had an indicator that it's on or off you could check ahead of time.) -
Forum suggestion: Incarnate "Archetype" Forum?
Greycat replied to ThaOGDreamWeaver's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The thing that's a real kicker on this? Incarnates were originally supposed to be an EAT, like Khelds, Soldiers and Widows. >.> That said, given the way choices are (somewhat) going to be informed by what AT and powersets you have, probably best to keep them in with the regular powersets. Also, Holtz's big thing is the Curse of Weakness. Before running the Alpha unlock mission, assuming you've run RWZ missions (if not, do a raid...) spend some of those V-merits on nectembo's curse breaker to counter it. Otherwise you'll have your END cap cut in half for 5 minutes. -
Earth/FF at that level is going to have (or should...) an AOE immob, AOE hold and AOE slow patch - which since it does a debuff should get their attention. (Trying to recall off the top of my head if it has stalagmites.) It'll get attention but ... as someone who had an earth/ff main... it just kills slow. Don't do something silly like run it solo at x8 on an earth/ff, and you'll often *still* have time to alternate between escaping mob and static mob.
-
And this is part of why I like my RP groups and teams. It's not about "melty superfast raaaagh." You joke around, BS your way through a mission and next thing you know it's three hours later and you've had fun without worrying about who did how much damage or whatnot.

Intangibility recipes were removed because, as I recall, they actually had no effect at all.
