Making a Night Widow as the "B-side" of my Fort?
Greycat replied to Generator's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
Yes. Any time you're "leveling" the character from level 1, like on the second or third build, you'll have to do this. -
So, currently if you save and load costumes, you get... a list. A long list, if you're like me. Multiple alts with multiple costumes, sometimes switching out for seasons or specific events - they add up. But the costume editor just gives you a list. You can move files into subfolders - but the save/load screen knows nothing about subfolders. I'd like to see this changed and tweaked a bit. Things like: - Search. OK, probably only the big altaholics would use this, but... yeah. We already can name the costume files, a search would make this even more useful. - Filter - by body type, at the very least. - Ability to organize into subfolders. This is what I'd like most, I think. Creating a folder for "default costumes" for things like supergroups or organizations, or creating folders for my most clothes-horse-y characters to just keep everything inside and organized. It wouldn't need a *lot* to make it more useful - but it would be nice to have a few of these as QoL features.

Give all Tanker Primaries Knockback Resistance
Greycat replied to Mr Pierce's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Am I remembering wrong, or is Electric's thing that it has it but you must be in contact with (or very close to) the ground? -
Well, there's very little you can't do in game without violence. Ignoring a team setting where you can sit back and just buff/debuff/heal/whatever (since, really, you're still pretty directly supporting violence,) I'd have to think: - Stalker. With Hide, you can sneak through and do the minimum needed to finish a goal. - Illusion, for the same reason. - Mind control, just to keep putting everyone to sleep.

Anyone have an Ancient Egyptian style base?
Greycat replied to Sin_Stalker's topic in Base Construction
Man, if we could import old bases (and if I had a demorecord of it,) I'd have something useful... I should rebuild, but it'd be more mesoamerican, I think. -
Make different-level SO enhancements fungible on the AH
Greycat replied to aethereal's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
To be nitpicky, that's only sets. Standard IOs (Invention: Damage, for instance) are not in a bucket, or creating level 10 standard IOs would be a gold mine instead of the INF sink going for crafting badges is (to the point it's cheaper to buy the portable workbench at 10m than craft for it.) I could see this going across origins, though, or even (if possible) a 5-level-range bucket... but I also suspect the spaghetti would strike back. -
You are now being even more dishonest by moving goalposts. Original post: Note this is the entire post. There are two *absolute* statements, one right after the other. 1. There's no other way to get these so "don't do activity you don't like" doesn't apply here. This was shown to be incorrect. This is an absolute statement. (Two, technically, run together, both incorrect.) We're talking about MSRs. You're referring afterward to MSRs. There's no ambiguity. You are stating there is no other way to get the Vanguard storage sack ("A bigger sack,") or "A big ol' bot," (Vanguard HVAS.) And "A grai matter or two." Which I didn't even touch on (you can create it with four incarnate shards, which will drop from *multiple* activities, so you're incorrect there, as well.) 2. You then followed it up with absolute statement # 2, "I want those things, I have to raid, so be it." There is no ambiguity here. You are stating, "I want A, I must do activity B." You were shown this is 100% incorrect. The only thing needed for two of the items? Vanguard merits. These drop while doing other activities. The third even has a second currency, Incarnate Shards, that you can completely ignore anything to do with Rikti to get. When pointing that out, you followed up with a bit of dishonesty ignoring a page (that *everyone* can see and get to) that didn't support your statement - and even what you quoted didn't do anything more than show it's a means of earning merits. You stated NOTHING about time. You did not say "This is the only way to get these in under an hour," or "I have no patience and want to get things as quickly as possible." There is absolutely NOTHING in what you said that reflects what you feel the need to "spell out" (IE, attempt to rewrite history because you look like a doofus for saying what you did) in your last post. And in answer to the first part, obviously they *are* a legitimate means to gain the rewards. They just take a little longer. What you want are luxury items. They aren't required in any way, shape or form to complete any part of the game. Your impatience is irrelevant to their availability. Now, I'll give you a fresh example of an absolute statement. I find you dishonest and unlikeable, and therefore am 100% done with you and shoving you on an ignore list. Note how there's no ambiguity there, either.

Far too overpowered. You'll destroy the market. ;) Honestly, I kind of wish we could add... whatever they're called, anchor or detail points, for stuff like this. Have "hats," "hair," "headband/upper," "mid" (things like the arena comm,) "lower" (beards, jaws, cigars, etc.) but I don't believe we can go that far without a massive rework of costuming and models. (From rusty memory.) Only concern with moving is breaking other peoples' costumes that have them where they are and another piece in the destination. Not sure how the team feels about copying.

... I read the T4 as "Clarity of Mud." >.< For some reason I'm picturing this set getting a bit chaotic during play, but in a fun way. (And as far as missing KB protection, well... fire, dark.)

Which is different from: You'll note that's you saying that. Percentage to drop, rewards at the end of missions/arcs - these are "other ways to get these" that are not raids. And before you try to say anything else, I said "You get them for killing Rikti." You kill rikti, you roll the dice on getting a V-merit. You kill multiple Rikti, you get multiple chances on V-merits. You know, like... if you're street sweeping, or on a mission, or on a task force with Rikti, or fighting off an invasion. Things that are not raids. So, yes. Congrats. You've managed to start off my dead wife's birthday by pissing me off with your lack of reading comprehension. Thanks *ever* so much.
-
You. Get. Vanguard. Merits. For. Killing. Rikti. Not "just on the MSR." YOU, meanwhile, stated : That's you. Highlighted for your convenience. In other words, no, you are incorrect. Yes, you get V-merits for killing Rikti on the mothership. This is *one way to do so of several.* In fact, it TELLS YOU THIS ON THE VERY PAGE YOU QUOTED TO TELL ME I WAS WRONG, if you bothered to read the rest of the page: You'll note this is different from what you stated. These are... now wait for it... *other ways to get v-merits.* And thus, other ways to get the same rewards *without needing to raid.* And in case you still don't believe it:
-
Incorrect. You get them (at least the first two) for vanguard merits. You get vanguard merits by being a member of vanguard and defeating Rikti. You don't need to do an MSR. Any Rikti killed anywhere will give them. So, no, you don't "have to" raid. Run the RWZ arcs. Run the repeatables. Kill Rikti in zone. Kill Rikti in invasions. The third... pfft, isn't that a reward for Lady Grey? Or... well, made with shards, which drop while doing other things. Congrats. You can ignore MSRs all you want now.
-
Everyone can. Not everyone does, or wants to, despite how the forums (or Help or general) may sound at times. Then again, I don't care. I just want interesting people with interesting characters to team with that at least try.
-
League forms. Spot opens in zone. Fly over, jump in the middle of the ship, get badge, zone out. And... yeah. For the OP? Don't like the raid? Don't do it. Simple as that. No need to try to drench the forum in tears about it. We've got a good, fun group on Everlasting that does it every night. Plenty of *other* badge progress if that's what you're after (damage, mez, damage taken, healing, etc.) Merits on top of merits. Dropship hunt when we're done for yet another bunch of reward merits and a badge. Leechers get warned and kicked. All 'round pleasant and fun.

Question about Devouring Earth power, sting.
Greycat replied to KaizenSoze's topic in General Discussion
It's simple to get around - the main issue is that it's not *obvious* you need to prepare for it or to pick up the workaround. It's not mentioned anywhere at all as far as I know. If you've been doing RWZ arcs, you should have V-merits enough to pick up Nectembo's Curse Breaker from the V-merit consoles. But it's not pointed out anywhere (except in the description, I think.) So it's really a "you have to know this already" thing, which... yeah, isn't great. -

It was probably set that way intentionally by the same person who gave you Malta stuns and Curse of Weariness... -
First bit of sit-down-and-build in ... ages. Nothing above the map, etc. but still... comfy little bookstore. Witha spot out back. (That Witch Was, Everlasting.)

I like Poison. First set I accidentally soloed an AV on. Only things I'd like on it that I can think of off the top of my head, especially on a MM, are a faster heal (and/or make it AOE, right now it's just ... yeah...) and, as mentioned, alternate animations.
-
You tempt the code demons... 🙂 But on the other hand, people make really obnoxious characters *now,* so... 😄 Anyway... yeah, I mean, I don't have any use for some of the hairstyles *now,* crossing over could have some possibilities. *shrug* We no longer have the dev from live who was absolutely adamant that "this is for this gender only, men can't have shoulder kittens!" after all.

Both my current and last notebooks have run COH fine. Last one was an Acer VX15, main quirk with it was convincing it to use the external graphics (and an external monitor would only use the integrated graphics, which rather sucked.) Currently on a Lenovo Legion 5 15", which has no problem with it.

Pretty much the only time I give unsolicited anything is - "nice costume/nice bio/love the name" and/or occasionally dropping super/winter packs, purples, ATOs, etc. on people. Now, if I walk by and someone's complaining about always running out of END or something, I might - I'd consider that "semi-solicited." But most things like that tend to be in a help channel or actually posed as questions. But just "Hey, you should be running XYZ" or something.... no.
-
Yeah, I know I ran him back in the day, but I don't recall. He may *have* had sonic powers, just not the full set we have (and the mishmash of sounds.... ugh.)
-
Ugh. don't remind me how *utterly stupid* it is to have a foreign power's armed forces occupying part of a US city... (And yes, I feel the same way about Longbow in Mercy, but they're not essentially the US military.)
