  1. When you actually ask for a Brute buff or ask for a decent ATO for them i will be 110% behind you. Clear horizons until then 😉
  2. But they don't. At the least it shows they are quite even in clearing trash but there can be many variables fudging it. On hard targets they are not even at all.
  3. Is this thread unbiased or is it another attempt to nerf Tankers? The damage scale needs to stay. We lost Bruising and got a damage scale increase to compensate. Returning the Tanker to pre I26 would be awful to say the least lol with no Bruising and that mechanic was junk. If the damage scale dropped then the tanker becomes just a meat shield again and will struggle to take bosses down with their regen etc and players will abandon the class once again. This game has moved on a long time ago from Tanker and healer etc. Most classes are quite self sufficient with IO's now. I am not entirely against changes to the extra AoE though. Brutes were a big part of the reason Tankers got a buff. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Captain Powerhouse. The base damage scale is being increased to the point it is precisely because forever the devs maintained that the tanker should be doing 75% the damage of a scrapper. In practice, the tanker was doing, an average of 60%~65% the damage of a scrapper, after mods, crits and higher +damage mods came to play.   4. Maybe it isn't for Brutes but it is still better than Vigor for damage, but if you compensated then that can work also. I think you need to do a Scrapper test with a taunt set still. Let's see if it makes a difference. A hard target also. Scrappers, Brutes and Tankers are all really good trash clearers though.
  5. I wonder why the Brute uses Vigor Core and the Scrapper/Tanker use Musculature. That is less damage for the Brute and if the Scrapper can survive then so can the Brute. Put musculature on the Brute and they will perform even better. How much +recharge was used? did you slot FF procs where you could? what procs were used? and so on. I see a Scrapper not using a taunt set and a Brute not using a damage incarnate. That is giving favor to the Tanker in the builds and not an even comparison.
  6. Procs help to even the field because they don't care what AT uses them. I think it would be best not to use procs for the test then we can see just how much difference the procs are making. But as i said the Tanker hits more targets and the Brute hits harder. This makes them fairly even clearing trash especially when procs are used, but the Brute will pull ahead on a hard target but be less survivable unless team buffed. A Brute can not have near Scrapper damage and near Tanker survival. We know a Scrapper out damages a Tanker by quite a margin and a Brute does also, it is the extra radius of Tankers and procs which are closing the gaps.
  7. Elec Armor isn't bad but it could do with a little tweak to improve it some and make it a little less boring. Having played them all i also find EA to be inferior slightly to the other resist sets. EA is not the most popular set for this reason...probably. The car drives ok but it is a little lacklustre it needs pimping out lol. @Zect they buffed Invulnerability, did they even need to? lol. I do not think @Spaghetti Betty suggestion is OTT.

  10. Yes a mission with a tough Boss/AV at the end. Maybe change the secondary powerset so the Scrapper has a decent taunt. Invulnerability? In a team a Tanker/Brute will hold aggro letting the Scrapper/stalker go to town. Even CC will allow them to do this. A solo Scrapper will have to make a decision to go with a stronger Taunt set or not. But as this is a solo test then a better set should be used. But reverting the Tanker to where it was pre buff is a ludicrous idea. It would be a slap in the face to all those who asked for it and would not look good for the developers. The extra AoE radius was unexpected by most, i even suggested it was a step to far back then but got shot down. Do i like the Tanker now? is it better than before?...hell yes!. Was it overbuffed....a little... probably, with the extra AoE. But the Tanker is more fun and enjoyable now than it ever was so asking to revert it is just bad, but i would not be against a few small tweaks in the right place. Seems like some are on a mission to bring the Tanker down too much. Maybe some need a small buff and maybe some do need a small nerf. But keep it reasonable as there is always time to tweak a little more where necessary. Brute/Tanker comparison is like Def/Corr. They were thrown together when they were not designed that way. The Brutes getting a decent ATO proc would be a good start. Procs are also a big factor in many builds. They can make a huge difference.
  11. If anything it is the Tanker extra AoE radius that is probably giving them the edge. It is helping them to clear trash faster. The Brute and Scrapper and Stalker will out dps a Tanker on a single target. Maybe try a hard target test like an AV.
  12. I always felt it need a little something also. A little extra regen/max health or an absorb. Adding an absorb and a small +regen to number of targets hit with Power sink could be good. The T9 needs to change also. Maybe lower the resists on it quite a bit or totally and add +recharge and maybe increasing the damage of the PBAoE aura by 2x/3x whilst it's active, just for something different. Or just add +elec only damage to it.
  13. I made one of these and it's sitting in the 30's. Where would you put the Num/RT and panacea procs? Also Sonic may be due some developer love in the near future. I think it was one of the sets mentioned.
  14. The new Force field has some debuffs. Could layer up well with Necro's resists. Storm summoning could work well with Necro. It has the extra damage and debuffs and can fill some of the weaker resists that necro has. It also has a small heal to help top minions up. FF procs to get the soul extraction up earlier. It could be very chaotic lol.
  15. Combat jumping, Weave, leadership Maneuvers are some powers you can pick to boost Defence. Mocking Beratement in the Taunt sets gives Fire defence at 5 slots. Avalanche, Blistering cold and frozen blast winter sets give fire defence. Steadfast protection and Gladiators armor uniques give +defence. Aegis resist damage set gives fire defence. Just to name a few. Aegis and MB are cheap sets to boost Fire defence.
  16. Yes. Although some AT's/power sets have a much easier time than others and are just as powerful. I don't think anyone mentioned reducing endurance costs comparable to removing the endurance mechanic anywhere. There may be a few powers/toggles that may need a slight reduction though. Ageless incarnate does remove the mechanic in a way though lol. New players are not idiots...hell they picked this game to play so must have some sense :P. But a Starter/newbie thread could be really nice for some, just answering a few common questions/problems. But players are always helpful in game.
  17. If you have endurance issues end game you can slot Ageless very easily. Endurance is easy to cover end game with a build/temps/incarnate etc. A 50 will have the funds/experience. also Blasters get +recovery and they don't run many toggles. Did they actually need it? I am not a Blaster player but do they need to slot end reductions at low level when they get the +recovery power? Some sets have it much easier like Rad Armor for example that has a heal/end recovery/damage all in one AoE and they also get +recovery. Others sets consume more and recover less and need more help to work efficiently. Rad armor is a very strong set. There are certainly numerous ways to mitigate endurance at low levels but does a newbie know these and can they afford it. without knowing also how to make influence? Not everyone can or wants to PL an alt. Players with high levels toons can easily sort a low level alts endurance with Inf/IO's/Temps and so on. Buffs may not be the answer but a permanent thread covering endurance management would be really helpful to new players if one does not already exist. Just speaking generally Zect and not directing entirely to you.
  18. It is up to you. Sorcery for resistance buff, teleportation for fold space but you have AC, leadership for party/self buffs, experimentation for adrenal boost all have potential. Speed, fighting, leaping tend to be common choices. If you want aid self then i would say do it. I am just saying you may not need it much if at all. only way to find out is try it for yourself first. We have access to a lot of respecs.
  19. Entirely up to you, but i think you will find you will not be using it at all. The damage reduction from SD and regen are usually more than enough to withstand all but the hardest content. Those slots/power choices may serve you better eleswhere. That is my feedback to you but the choice is yours. Either way have fun 🙂 You could always roll one up on the test server and take it into ITF for example. It could help you decide if you need Aid self or not.

  21. Grant Cover does give you DDR. You will not need Aid self (you can always pop an insp). SD is very tough without it, especially if it is not the hardest content. For the hardest content you will need a team and healer anyway. Looking up @Infinitum builds will set you on the right track. Tweak it to your own preference.
  22. Sounds like it could be kinetics or Forcefield. Dual pistols if Def/Corr or even Thugs mastermind will get pistols. Or DP/Energy aura Sentinel. Or Peacebringer maybe.
  23. Yes you are probably right but i was only thinking of a very small buff as i said. It is probably me also being used to steam rolling through groups lol. I don't know whether there is a thread to help new players with Slotting for endurance etc with the ideas that are in this thread? but there should be. But i like your point of building to cosmic power, that does make sense and i like it. Thx.
