  1. Pick your powers in level-up order. Slot things out. If you need to shuffle things around, you can actually drag powers around to swap with another power. Say you wanted to take KO Blow from Level 20 to Level 30, you simply click, hold and drag. Now if the power that's in L30 isn't available at L20, it'll immediately turn red to let you know the build is illegal. You have the tab group in the lower left-hand corner to give power info and your general total for things like Defense, Resist, Recovery, Regen and Recharge. If you want more info, click on Window --> Advanced Totals To get optimal placement for your build, once you get it built, click on Slot/Enhancement --> Slots --> Auto-Arrange. It basically packs the slot distribution. This way, instead of having an L50 slot in a L32 power, you get L33-34, etc slots. This way, if you are re-working a build, all your high-level slots go to the last powers you pick.
  2. You mean like the PVP zones?
  3. And essentially max-Resist "Blood from a Stone" Rad/Dark. Outside of Meltdown, you're capped to everything save Cold and Psi. And you're 73/77 for each of those.
  4. That doesn't mean it's stable or done properly. You can hack almost anything you want out of the code. But then you, eventually, have to clean that stuff up. I shudder to think about what the code on places like Cake looks like under the hood.
  5. You have summoned me mortal?
  6. Honestly, unless you're already rocking massive Defense, taking Resist armors on Blasters, Defenders, Corruptors, etc doesn't really pay off very well. Mainly because your caps are significantly lower and you don't really have the HP (and thus, Regen) to make it pay off effectively.
  7. Now I'm remembering Stef from Userfriendly.org
  8. I dunno. I can get an Invuln's resting End consumption down below 1 End/sec (remember, in many cases, you can just flat out turn Tough off). So if you're already rocking 3.something End/Sec recovery? Unless you're taking and USING Unstoppable, you're not running out of End unless you get Sapper-slapped.
  9. HEATHEN!!!!
  10. Right. But it has NOTHING to do with the innate toughness of a given armor set. That's like going "I'm a god with my pocket Bubbler and pocket Kin!"
  11. Rad's, visually, a bit murky. You get a lot of glow in the center of the screen. If washing things out isn't your bag, Inv works pretty decently too. Once you've leveled up, take a look at my Invuln Framework build. Just plug your Primary in and select powers.
  12. I dunno that we should start looking at specific sets. Because we start dealing with secondary effects (Healing/regen boosts, etc) which skew the comparison. I'd look at it solely as "Big hunk of Resist" vs "Big hunk of Defense".
  13. I don't count Destiny and Hybrid powers. Any more than I count non-perma clickies like Rune of Protection or Unstoppable. It's far easier to make qualitative decisions based on the build's steady-state performance. This is also why I say that Stone is the Gold Standard for durability. You can actually cap Defenses AND Resists on Stone in Granite (Psi-hole excepted). WITHOUT Incarnates.
  14. If we are talking Capped Resistance and 0.00% Defense vs Capped Defense and 0.00% Resistance? I'd go Resistance. As it's a steady, predictable damage reduction every time you're hit. While Defense is VERY attractive, it's binary. You're hit or you aren't. If you have NOTHING underneath your Defenses, it stops becoming quite so attractive. Even with Tank HP, it becomes a Brute/Scrapper type experience. "I'm in my happy place!" "I'm in my happy place!" "I'm in my happy"*SMOOTCHING FLOOR!* You're basically living at the whim of the RNG Gods. Resistance, you die in a steady "This ain't gonna end well." scenario. Defense, you're sitting there, blown into salsa, wondering "What happened?" If we're talking mixed mitigation types...It becomes VERY situational.
  15. Basically you can run missions for the tailers in Steel Canyon (L20), Independence Port (L30), and Founders Falls (L40) to open up new costume slots. I don't remember how to acquire coupons at themoment. I know the Fashion Designer badge gets you a discount on tailor sessions.
  16. Post your build.
  17. You're a Scrapper with delusions of godhood.
  18. If people want to use it. http://cox-supergroups.com/FacepalmSmiley.gif
  19. Wait. You went with a Tauntless Tanker? TURN IN YOUR TANK CARD!
  20. Invuln will be marginally tougher. Rad will act like a poor man's Regen, but with MASSIVE resists.
  21. I'm not Marcus. But.
  22. Nothing's really "cut-proof". This stuff's just harder to cut without destroying your tools. Also, if a lock of this were made, likely it wouldn't be the whole lock. Just the shackle. As this stuff is fairly difficult to manufacture and will likely be VERY expensive. So, you either cut/smash the lock body or you pick the lock. Neither is terribly hard. You can also just cut the locking hasp off and replace it. Don't ask me how I know these things...
  23. Smart move. And Dave Rubin's a level-headed guy that I'd trust with my money.
