  3. Yeah. Masterminds are, sorta, jumping in the deep end to learn to swim. The controls for them are a bit fiddly, and the AI for the minions even more so. Don't nuke him though! Just come back to him later. Once you're a bit more comfortable with the basic game.
  4. Incorrect. While zone cap IS involved, it has nothing to do with lowbies. LFG raids basically remove the necessity to have GM cooperation to spin up a new zone for the raid. Mainly because there's no good way to control zone population in the prime instance. Also, as someone who regularly runs ship raids (and doesn't mind a few lowbies here or there) and who's original Raid leader toon ruthlessly bypassed the zone lock once Mission Transporter came out to run her first raid at L20, I can't say I support reinstituting the zone lock.
  5. PBs are supposed to be internally self-sufficient. Warshades pretty much REQUIRE lots and LOTS and LOTS of dead ARRESTED! enemies to see maximum effect from them.

  9. But remember that PW STILL LINES UP with roughly 99% of the game. The mismatches are mostly in programmatic mechanics for powers. Some exploration badges have moved around. Some contacts. Etc. For things like slash commands? Popmenu? Binds? ALL of that stuff is STILL 100% applicable. I understand that PW is now a locked resource. And, at some point, it'll be scraped and inserted into a new wiki setup for HC, from whence it'll grow and reflect the current game. But, until then, trying to say "Dig through posts in the forums" or "Dig through Reddit" for stuff that's CLEARLY and completely well-documented in Paragonwiki is silly...at best.
  10. Basically you HAVE to take either Boxing or Kick to get to the later choices in the Fighting pool. These attack choices demonstrably inferior to Primary and Secondary pool attacks. As such, people hold their nose and take their medicine with them. Then leave them as "One Slot Wonders". With Boxing there's a couple procs that can affect the enemy. But, with a OSW, it's generally not work using. With Kick, you have the Force Feedback proc. This proc directly affects YOU by giving you 5 seconds of +100% Recharge. Again, in an OSW, the likelihood that you'll use it is small. But it provides a a directly beneficial effect to you, instead of trying to enforce it on an enemy. IMNSHO, this makes Kick a marginally better choice than Boxing. And I view Boxing as only marginally better than being racked in the nuts by an entire team of soccer players...
  11. And the FF proc only fires if you use Kick. Essentially the first power of the Fighting pool is a nominally useless power compared to your Primary/Secondary attacks. The only reason I push kick is that there's a proc you can put in a "One Slot Wonder" that's actually directly beneficial if it hits. It's marginally preferable to Boxing. Which is marginally preferable to being kicked in the goolies...

Perma-Hasten needs a total of 275% Recharge. https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Perma If you already account for Hasten's set 70%, and 95% for SO/IO enhancement of Recharge in Hasten itself, you're looking at about 110% Recharge you have to make up. The way Mid's counts Global Recharge, you essentially need +180% Recharge. You can also go to the Hasten power. Hover your mouse over it. Look at the Recharge. If Recharge is less than the duration of the power, it's Perma. Now, simply because said power is Perma DOES NOT MEAN IT AUTOMATICALLY GOES OFF! In CoH, you're allowed to set ONE power to auto-fire when it recharges. That's it. And for a big chunk of the population, that power is Hasten.

  20. This is, essentially, a respec build. I generally avoid the first attack for Brutes. Just my personal preference. Resists and Defenses are slotted the way they are for set bonuses for Fire/Cold and Energy/Neg Resist. Additionally, we have the Defense and Resistance boosting uniques. Attacks are primarily slotted for sets that boost the Resists or that boost Melee Defense. Since you have to have Boxing or Kick to get further into the Fighting pool, I prefer Kick. You can at least slot a Force Feedback +Recharge proc in there. It's one slot so it's just one of those, "meh, let's toss this in" things. Same thing with Beta Decay. It's a Debuff proc in there. Health and Stamina are slotted the way they are for most efficient Endurance Recovery. Hasten, 2 slotted for Recharge for some extra attack speed. Assault, 2 slotted to bring down the Endurance usage. Basically this build is trying to sensibly maximize Resists and minimize Endurance use. Hence using Cardiac Core for the Alpha. To help keep the enemy's To-Hit floored, Diamagnetic SuperJump is saved for last and it's a mule for a Slow Resistance unique.   21. Honestly, until sets, I'm a bigger fan of: 1: Acc 2: Acc 3: EndRedux 4: Damage 5: Recharge (in auras, go EndRedux) 6: Damage
  22. ALSO, talk with one of the blaster types on your team. Ask them to simply "spread the love". In short, they should basically potshot as many enemies as possible. Not to kill, just to do damage. Shoot, move to the next enemy. Shoot, move to the next enemy. And keep cycling until there's nothing to shoot. If you have one person do that, it inflates the team earnings by a goodly amount.
  23. If you're Tanking, you need to bring your aggro ALL THE WAY down to the "Green Monster" in the bowl. Don't fight them on the mezzanines for any longer than you absolutely have to. There's a tether on the team, and if you're too far from them, you don't get credit for team kills. Aggro handlers will always earn slightly lower than the blasty/healy/buffy types. But if things are running smoothly the disparity shouldn't be more than maybe 10%.
