  1. I love the combination of that chest piece and chest detail. Splendid!
  2. Nah, it's called game balance and thought/investment in builds, but feel free to keep the salt mine going...
  3. I thought that's what we all were doing... 😛
  4. I thought that's what Clamor and battle Maiden did! 😛
  5. You're just propping up "Big Cherry Cordial", you shill!
  6. So what happens when you/your character simply says they don't believe them, or just chalk their claims up to some sort of delusion. Heck, you could even give them the benefit of the doubt but say they're "THE time stream" from an alternate dimension that has no impact on the current one, and they simply don't comprehend that fact...
  7. I made a similar suggestion a while back - basically, instead of it being a "Firearms Pool", instead make it a "small arms" or some sort of general security/self defense/survival pool. Something like: 1. Pistol shot - basic ranged lethal attack dealing minor damage with a fast recharge, possibly with a defense debuff that many gun attacks have. 2. Set snare - a simple power placed down where you are currently standing, which slow enemies that pass over/near it, possibly dealing some minor DoT, (toxic/lethal). 3. Poultice - A simple self HoT ability, (possibly with a minor amount of toxic resistance). 4. Camouflage - Somewhat like the old stealth power - provides a higher degree of stealth than most powers, but imparts a hefty movement penalty. 5. Lay of the land - Provides a minor tohit, recovery, and movement speed buff to you and your teammates while toggled on.
  8. Objectively false. Your choices should have some weight. If "wasting" a power pick is such a big deal to you, then forego tough and/or weave. Also false. Seems contrary to your "It's about wasting power pics" comment.
  9. Well, "HEAT" from this thread title generally refers to the Heroic Epic ArcheType, not the Soldiers of Arachnos...
  10. I believe some of the Nictus in certain *-levels of the updated ITF can do this, (or is it the Warshade version of fold space?).
  11. Then let's better inform players about the market and how to make the most of it...
  12. Doesn't mud pots serve that function?
  13. Well that's the rub, isn't it. Even Bane Spiders can only achieve their crits by using a version of placate beforehand to force them into a hidden state, and Night Widows basically have an OP smoke grenade...
  14. The problem is that taking a pool power that is similar to something you already have, (boxing or kick for melee characters), will not be as good as their primary or secondary powers, which is by design,. For someone who does not have access to such direct attacks, they may be more appealing. Even then, those attacks are never going to have the kind of utility or appeal as hasten...
  15. I've found that certain ATs and powerset combinations lend themselves more to being able to take advantage of multiple builds more than others. For instance, a Kheldian can have a tri-form build and a human-only one. A have an Arachnos Soldier with a bane build and crab spider build. On many of my sentinels, I like to create 3 builds - a DPS one, a durable/tough one, and a team support one using either the fire or elec APP with the team heal...
  16. He's actually really afraid of spiders... the whole Arachnos thing is just him compensating...
  17. Imagine a fully hidden AV with assassin's strike that prowled around random points within a mission, then ambushed you...
  18. Some Longbow bosses or Ballistas have this. It is really annoying.
  19. You may be able to recolor the transformation FX or the faint glow around them, but not the model itself.
  20. I'm very partial to radiation armor. It's tough and has some great utility powers in there. If you want to be a bit more sneaky, ninjutsu can work well, too. Energy Aura is no slouch, either, (though I prefer that one on Stalkers). I also tend to go with the single blade or energy blade claws weapon models, do be a bit more distinct from Wolvie. Cheers!
  21. That could be interesting - a way of getting *some* sort of benefit from your enhancement slots, but nowhere near as good as DOs, SOs, or IOs.
  22. Use up the power pick if you want that other power from the pool. Builds should require some thought...
  23. I've had great results with an ice/earth blaster. I like to include stealth from concealment, combat jumping, and aid self, if at all possible, and keep an extra break free or 2 on my at all times, just in case.
  24. Frankly, I would say it all depends upon the opportunity cost involved in obtaining those buffs or debuffs. For instance, would you be giving up damage or recharge, thereby drawing out the fight for longer, in order to get that bit of extra buff/debuff? If your character has access to a reliable self heal, could that make up the difference? Just how close to the razor's edge between survival and defeat does your character teeter on? I mean, if you can casually get like 17% defense on a resistance build, that's like knocking a third off incoming damage, but chasing 45% may hamstring your entire build...
  25. I think it's fade from darkness affinity that imparts all those affected with this really cool contoured glowing eye effect - that would be awesome as an aura option!
