Suggestion: Necromancy should have a Gang War power.
biostem replied to Decibel's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Or, we should be able to use soul extraction on defeated enemy corpses... EDIT: D'oh MTeague beat me to the punch! -
You could replace the direct attacks in the MM primaries with some armor toggles...

Here's what I came up with. It's a darker color scheme, but I think it's sufficiently "robotic" in nature... redstar robo.costume

Here's one I came up with. I decided to add a 3rd color in there, but please feel free to tailor it to your liking. Cheers! rad recurve.costume

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

You forgot "in your opinion". They are perfectly valid points - telling someone not to rip off someone else's character/IP is legitimate feedback.
-
You don't see the irony in your statement, do you?
-
Don't put them in just shorts, for instance, (especially if said shorts happen to be purple).
-
And if they are different enough to pass examination by a dev, then you should be fine. Or, better yet, choose another word besides "hulking", just to be safe. Heck, not all depictions of trolls or orcs are green, anyway.
-
If you can't create a character different enough from an existing one to pass a cursory examination, then either hit random a few times until you find something acceptable to you, or don't create the character.
-
Except that if you wanted to make money from an existing IP, creativity isn't your goal. Why try to market and develop a new character, if you can just churn out any number of guys in blue and red with logos on their chest, who are super strong and invulnerable? Telling someone creating a character for a game to be more creative with said characters is not the same as someone who is just out to make a buck by using someone else's idea/concept. There is no legitimate reason to, for instance, create a huge green-skinned super-strong character wearing just shorts, here in CoH, especially if it is named some variation of "hulk".

Maybe check if there's an option in the bios that you can toggle to force it to use the discrete GPU instead of the integrated one.

Here are 2 quick attempts by me. I couldn't quite get things to line up how I wanted, but I think they're a start... union jack 2.costume union jack 1.costume

I finished rewatching Goblin Slayer, so wanted to create my own inspired character: "The Tenacious Slayer": Reference image:

Sleeps should apply a "vulnerable" debuff to the target. Such a debuff only persists for a very short period of time after they wake up, but imparts a massive damage resist debuff.

Add Mounted Transport as an Auxillary Power Pool?
biostem replied to hellohello's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Champions Online introduced vehicles, and I have to say, it was a flop, IMO. I'm not saying the CoH:HC devs couldn't do a better job, only that it's a very niche thign and would probably require way more work than it's worth. -
As far as I understand, power sets don't work that way. Taking broad sword without a shield doesn't work differently than with it, for example. That is why I said it'd have to be 2 different power sets. Maybe they could make a "spear set" and a "polearm set" or something, (though staff is already pretty close to the latter).
-
It'd basically have to be 2 different power sets, whether it's wielded with 1 hand or 2. As for the idea in general - sure, why not. Personally, I think a single-hand version would be preferable, so it could be used with shields. I'd make it's "schtick" the longer range and/or maybe make all attacks a very narrow cone, so you can hit multiple foes that are lined up in a row...

Arachnos MM , figured it out . Can we make it happen please
biostem replied to pheeonix's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The Arachnos pets are more like a controller's; They don't have an upgrade scheme like true MM pets do. You'd need to rework them quite a bit... -
I, personally, would like to see something like an AT that uses blaster manipulation sets, (barring tactical arrow since it lacks attacks), paired with support sets. I'd also like to see a set that, perhaps, uses a set comprised of some melee attacks and armor powers + MM pets for the other set, (or perhaps replace the direct attacks in the MM sets with the armor powers, and have the other power set be melee ones).

I saw someone with a really great rat costume, and so I built off of the basic design and came up with: "Captain Chiropteran":

Allow us to see status effects on enemies
biostem replied to biostem's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm talking about a series of icons under the target box, just like buffs or debuffs applied to you show up. -
I did a quick search of the forums, but didn't see this mentioned, (though I'm sure I'm not the first person to suggest this); Just as we can see the various buffs and debuffs being applied to our character, please allow use the *option* to see what buffs or debuffs are affecting the targeted enemy. What're your thoughts? Thanks for reading!

So I took some aspects of previous costumes I've used and incorporated your description of the character, to come up with this: *Note - The 1st version of the costume has a backpack instead of the cape, but I decided the cape looked more heroic... chrono-soldier 2.costume chrono-soldier 1.costume
