Nudity in Game Removal Mod?
Glacier Peak replied to Solarverse's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
In the history of comic book super heroes and villains, there's been far more revealing figures. I think it's because of how the Greeks personified their mythic heroes in art and culture that we see modern story tellers doing similar things in regards to body depictions. Then there's the whole American culture layer added on to it which we can thank the Puritans for. That being said, I recommend uninstalling the mod in question if it is found unsatisfactory. -
Huh I thought the poster was asking about going afk during a ToT run. How would a player afk if they have to click a door for the event to occur? Seems like that's not possible unless they're behind the mouse clicking the door to activate the treat/trick...
-
Rules found here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/code-of-conduct/ Multiboxing is okay within the guidelines of the CoC quoted above. Doesn't matter if one or all are afk. Soloing at a hotel is permitted. It is not rude to have a team and not invite lowbies who are asking for invites - it's your prerogative to do so. If you are badge hunting for a certain enemy, it is bad manners to leave without killing the full spawns because it prevents future spawns from occurring (until they manually despawn after a certain time is reached or GMs are involved). There are no zones where the above changes. You will find more players in the most common areas with hotels and given level ranges.

What’s the most bombastic name in your stable

I released the name a while ago on Indomitable. Might be free if you want it. -

Guns N Roses - DP/Plant Blaster, fan of rock ballads and hair bands. Hazardeath - Rad Armor/ Fire Melee Tanker, he's huge and loves farming. Fortunata Non Grata - see link Other than that, I'm not too wacky with the names. -
I understand how you feel. I'm a fan of the tutorials, Outbreak and Breakout. I'll replay them over and over with every new character I create.

There are roles in this game, though - and not just in PvE, but also for PvP. That is the damage dealer role and the support role, (and in less organized or more friendly settings the disruption role). Edit: And these roles can be filled by any powerset/archetype combo - it really comes down to who can click the buttons fast enough (regarding PvP specifically).

There is no holy trinity in CoH.

What? No, unless you're being sarcastic (I can't tell), you are missing my point in the original post and my subsequent replies to other posters. In fact, I literally wrote that I absolutely prefer the HC QoL changed of modernity and that it was the concept of mentoring other players that I liked - it was like someone was there to help you out as a newer player.

Envenomed Daggers from the P2W/T4V vendor, Signature Hero/Villain summons, and Shivan Destroyer summon from Bloody Bay.

Psi Melee Insight change (scrappers)

What sets build "thing" without landing a blow? Tidal force doesn't build unless the attack lands. Fighting combo doesn't build unless attack lands. Seismicity doesn't... etc. That's an apple to orange comparison if you're trying to make one. Psi Melee is certainly unique with regards to mechanic. And I get where you're coming from when you bring up PvP mechanics, but it's gotta be holistic across the game, when discussing set wide changes. -
Ah didn't know the first part. Well I liked the way it worked on legacy. And yeah, for all those reasons you gave about sidekicking/lackeying, absolutely prefer the QoL of modernity. But as a way to show a player the ropes, it was a cool concept.
-
Sidekicks and Lackeys - a forgotten concept in modern play in my opinion. Everyone is auto leveled to the team, there's no mentorship or teaching dynamic. It just happens! Back in my day warning ⚠️ I experienced the game with friends. It required having enough people at the right level on the team for any lower than characters to get in a decent range of expected enemies. A little gate-keepy to me, but the concept is what I liked - it was like someone was there to help you out as a player. And then leveling pacts, don't get me started! It was a good thing ruined by... wait what happened to that again? I feel like Homecoming started it then stopped it like the same week. Buggy or something? Okay I guess that was a rant. Carry on...

I created a character three years ago that I'm still actively playing and leveling. He's Level 22 - I turn off XP so frequently that he has a button in the power bar to do so. At the same time, I'm looking at it from another perspective - Inf is still earned when I turn off xp, so I think it should remain that way if players can purchase modifiers to decrease xp earned. I'm open to alternatives though.

Psi Melee Insight change (scrappers)
Glacier Peak replied to Ananke's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Boggle gets me there when I want Insight added to the GSB smash. There was a helpful thread out there that explains the mechanic in detail, though I'm unable to find it at the moment. It gives percentages for the amount of Insight each power in the set provides, with a Boggled enemy allowing for a higher chance of Insight. -
I don't know what the stats are, but I've been digging the Mastermind changes, I rolled a Ninja/Trick Arrow that feels really good - albeit I never played a Mastermind before, so I have nothing to compare it to. I also tried a Storm/Storm Defender, which has been a slow leveling character. Enjoying the concept more than the powerset, but I'm hoping to have a better perspective when I get it in to the 20s and 30s. I'm excited to see what becomes of the Peacebringer/Warshade changling exploit - though I've read no explicit words from the Homecoming team about when that will occur.

Reason enough to get out of bed each morning.

I just realized I've been reading and posting on these forums for a good bit of time. I'd say it's a habit at this point even. Glad to still have folks here who are fantastic members of the community, who occasionally make me laugh, cringe, or even think critically at times. Heck, in all honesty, I'm just glad I'm not talking to myself and there are still others playing and enjoying this game still! Thanks!

The Translocation animation from the Sorcery Pool is a neat alternative animation. Edit: Ah looks like you mention that and the other variations in a later post. Either way, I see you point. Flight has four poses, there are like 5 run animation variations too. And you can Jump/Leap at least two different ways depending on how a player hugs buildings or double jumps.

That's probably more to do with the threat mechanics for the enemy than an unintentional side effect of range boosting effects. Like, if within melee range, then attack with melee, AoE, or range, and if not, use ranged attack or AoE. Once the target for the enemy leaves the max distance for ranged attacks, chase if threat level is below/ above 1. That's all my speculation though.
