  1. That works for me! Thanks for putting the time together - I am good for any server, just let me know so I can transfer.
  2. I'll bandwagon on to Ice/Cold Corruptor. Best powerset combination in the game for solo, team, or otherwise. Can't go wrong!
  3. I'd wager it's the initials of the artist who made that.
  4. Where to go, what to see... one of the first things I did when I got back in to this game in 2019 was start hunting down geometry errors in the game. Areas in zones where parts of the game geometry is skewered or there's holes to underneath the map. I managed to get out of every zone, including the Shadow Shard, within the first year back. Sadly, many of my tricks have been patched that allowed me to do so, but I'm happy to help guide players to cool areas in game. I'll list a few that I'm comfortably familiar with and could shepherd any tourists to. I'll bring a character to any server chosen and they will have Group Fly, Teammate TPs, etc. I am Mountain Time in the U.S., but if its the weekend I can touch over on EU times. 1. Pocket D (anywhere, I made a YouTube video showing how) 2. Any PvP Zone - anything of interest, any under map stuff just for sight seeing (no exploits!) 3. Atlas Park (some folks don't know about the skyscraper green house) 4. Echo Faultline (how to get behind the dam) 5. Peregrine Island - undermap to show original way to get to the blue cube, aka dev room, aka blue room, aka arena waiting area. 6. Talos Island - undermap same as above 7. Paragon Dance Party (Original Pocket D) 8. Behind the Sonic Fences in any Goldside zone. 9. Echo Plaza Easter Eggs 10. RWZ Council Base (Men in Black homage) 11. Dr. Vahziloks Lab in the Abandon Sewer Network That's about all I can think of right now.
  5. Yikes! That's a lot of bad ideas in one post. There's a few bases spread across the servers that are truly awe inspiring, I don't have any, but I'd feel terrible for the folks who put their hearts and many hours in to them to find them deleted just to merge a server. Have you been to any Halloween themed bases? Wow. RP and PvP beggars? Wut? Instead of merging any servers, just don't. There are server transfers for a reason. Basically unlimited too. Players will go where they choose.
  6. Is that the Pocket D card on your desk!? That used to give players exclusive access to the Tiki Room, right?
  7. It's a easter egg from the movie 'Castaway'
  8. Signatures don't display while in mobile view. Switch to desktop view if you want to see.
  9. Finally got around to watching this a year later. I thought it was true to the series. Classic villains, chases, and mcguffin. Spoilers ahead:
  10. Great way to start a wall of text! Edit: Oh and welcome back! Edit 2: I think even without the Double XP temp active, and aside from turning off XP entirely, one could start intentionally incurring debt after Level 10 as a way to slow their leveling journey. Debt is rather trivial at this point.
  11. To answer your first question, no. There are only player-led (sometimes HC-sponsored prizes) or player-created events these days for PvP in the Arena and PvP zone play occasionally on Excelsior if you're interested. There is some aspect to grinding for enhancements needed to "max out" aspects of a build for any given situation, but the journey was made much easier by the Homecoming team for folks interested solely in PvP (an instant Level 50 that is secluded to PvP zones/Arena/ Pocket D only).
  12. Making and breaking things takes time. Ideas from different volunteers start out as concepts, sometimes they get implemented, sometimes not, only for the outcome to be unsatisfactory once finally tested by other volunteers. In my opinion, it's reasonable to ask what's going on with development. I would say to folks who are both curious AND interested in supporting the development of content to go join the closed beta testers. Or look at other ways to support this gaming community if you have the time.
  13. This area if you have trouble finding it.
  14. That's true, but the work around is just TP'ing your teammate(s) on to the ground under where the Null the Gull truck is parked. Underneath that spot, on the dirt ground, there is an area that makes the reticle white and allows it. Then they can just walk out of that area and start exploring.
  15. Yes, it's been there since the legacy days and it's remained there for folks on Homecoming to explore as well.
  16. @Scarlet Shocker @Shenanigunner is referring to this (I made it a few years ago, but it's all still there if you want to explore:
  17. I just got some hot Cocoa mix for the ongoing snow lately. I am also a fan of everything else you listed.
  18. Great thread topic idea @Scarlet Shocker! I logged in to City of Heroes for the first time in Issue 0, early 2004, but actually stopped playing CoH before sunset and didn't know about the game closing until years later. To answer your original question, I haven't stayed in any one similar to CoH gameplay genre, but I went through many games since legacy days: RPGs (The Legend of Dragoon [many times], Final Fantasy X and XV [many times], the Kingdom Hearts series, Conan Exiles [currently], and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (many times)). Survival games (No Man's Sky, Satisfactory, Stranded Deep, Ark, Conan Exiles (double tap for multiple genres), The Long Dark, Subnautica, and Raft). Action/Adventure games (Batman Arkham series, Tomb Raider series, God of War series, Assassins Creed series, A Plague Tale series, and Firewatch). Strategy games (Civilization [every Civ game 3 and after, but I love 5 the most!]) Shooters (Master Chief Collection, Halo 5 and Halo Infinite [😢]) Edit: I know I'm missing some, but that's what I remember at the moment. I also did a lot of living (undergrad, married, military, grad degrees, busy career) between when I stopped playing CoH and when I started back up in 2019. And I discovered I like running a lot, so that is my main hobby outside video games.
  19. You'd likely find a better informed response from folks over on the PvP Fight Club Discord - they've got builds, strategies, and folks are always helpful with advice and testing. Edit: Oops, meant to include the link: https://discord.gg/knq839NUM4
  20. Statesman and Lord Recluse were around during the Great War, so they both must've been involved in the next war after that (World War 2) .
  21. Look in the Accolade Power - Long Range Teleporter macro power.
  22. Ah yes, my gripe about those darn gigantic healthpools with no engagement or fighting mechanic that rewards no experience or infamy. Terrible decision on behalf of whoever decided to make it thus.
  23. What happened to these episodes?? They put out 4 then stopped, is that the end of the season?
