  1. Why would Blaster Ice Blast (or any port of the powerset to other ranged ATs) have a snipe? There's two holds in Ice Blast - it's not meant to be like every other ranged powerset. Additionally, every other Scrapper Epic has a variation of a ranged attack or a snipe.
  2. I am unable to validate the drop rates for the Hamidon Bud recipe due to testing limitations on the beta server. I will trust the right folks on the Homecoming did the necessary testing to validate the drop chances.
  3. To your first question, yes. To your second question, read the patch notes:
  4. Can any devs confirm that this drop occurs? Without the instant kill dev command on beta, it's going to be a slim chance to confirm by play testing. Thanks!
  5. The stories and zones were written in a way to convey progression of a character from the bottom gutter of the Zig to the same table as Recluse. Each zone you meet another contact that elevates your character to a higher point in the story. At the end you're taking on the major heroes in the game and even Recluse himself. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the game and I think it is good all on its own. With the advent of Archetypes no longer being locked to blue or red side (along with faction switching being instant), there's not really a side anymore (except Gold side!). As to what could increase player population? Well I don't see much "City of Villain" anywhere on Homecoming's forums, discord, social media, or Wiki accounts. It's City of Heroes and that's what people probably think first to try. Maybe make some more CoV logos and slap them on things? In game, I'll just say that being a Villain doesn't mean what it used to mean. You're making choices that are mostly just Vigilante writing outside of the real dark contacts. It's always about making cash until you get to Grandville, then it's about power. Maybe that's what I said is worth trying, make being a Villain mean something.
  6. I had a lot of fun with Electric Blast on my Sentinel. The final power recharges so fast and the set has a great synergy with any armor set due to its endurance recovery secondary effects.
  7. Damage is king, lockdown is helpful, but neutered, and any PvP build should strive for maxing hp, then getting their respective role focused using procs, global recharge, and/or range if buffing or blasting. Look to snag an escape power like Translocation binded to a key or phase shift. Take a look at some of the pvp videos from the past three years on YouTube. The meta hasn't really changed beyond that. Edit: Oh and here's a fun list from the early days of Homecoming that sort of talks about three pvp meta.
  8. Yes, however, with hundreds of story arcs (let alone one-off missions) this would take an enormous amount of time. Edit: I just remembered this is already done for story arcs when using the Flashback system via Ouroboros.
  9. Can you be more specific? What do you like? What do you dislike?
  10. There isn't really a cap, per say. Characters can hold 2 billion inf in their pockets, plus as many email attachments as they can store attached billions to, and placed Auction House bids on non-buyable items for billions more, etc.
  11. Well I'll suggest adding a flying innertube. Or a bouncing innertube for super jump. Or an innertube that rolls with the player sideways for super speed. Notice a theme? And for teleport it could be the innertube turns in to a black hole and ports the player to the targeted location. Okay make it happen!
  12. Try out a new powerset. Might jog your memory.
  13. Confuse them to make them heal and buff you x100 😄
  14. Oh that could be it! I didn't think to ask you to see if you had any Patrol XP on your character.
  15. Apologies are not needed, happy to help figure out your XP shortcoming if you could post some more specific information such as, what mission, what difficulty setting, your character level, enemy xp rate, etc.
  16. Yes: And sorta, to your other question. Winter Packs are available year round through the auction house.
  17. The rates you described do not align with what has been stated in this thread and what I found for testing just now. My testing (Level 1, transferred to each, brand new, Atlas Park, against a Level 2 Minion) shows: Indomitable Reunion Torchbearer Excelsior
  18. I think they're still in the game. They just don't drop from enemies anymore.
  19. That's the joke - though it's not apparent if you've not been reading the "they're going to nerf regen" meme posts since Issue 3 (after the changes to Instant Healing and Moment of Glory)
  20. Yeah I'll just say I made an alt on Indomitable, loaded up my second farming account, grabbed the 2XP booster for my alt from the P2W vendor, and leveled from 1 to 21 in 14 minutes. It's fast.
  21. Thanks for the update - the Homecoming team still feels like a professional team even five years on!
  22. Again, (for probably the 50th time in this thread?) no one but the Homecoming team and NCSOFT are privy to this agreement.
