  1. This is true, and applies to all scrapper secondaries. If blasters can be made survivable, than obviously a scrapper with access to a lot more survival powers can.
  2. I use weave to avoid the whole trying to get mindlink perma problem. Widows can softcap without it, the flexibility in their builds is impressive. I would have agreed about tough in the old days, but now that you can build a lot of resist with IOs you can hit about 50% S/L with tough on a widow. Considering most def debuffs that hit you are lethal damage, i find it meshes well into the overall scheme. I do, however, never get aid self, which a lot of people seem to like. A lot of whqt you would/can do with an SR also works with widows.
  3. WP can be made extremely survivable even without a parry power, so that is definitely a possibility.
  4. its both Melee and Lethal which is actually kind of nice, since most of the -Def you get hit with has a lethal component. Making Katana/BS/Staff parry powers synergize fairly well with Typed defenses (EA, InV, Ice .. lesser extent WP or IOs like Kinetic combat) TW is less good since its Melee and Smash
  5. It would mean some people wouldn't be able to play it. Other than that it would sort of be how Elude works, I guess.
  6. Interesting. I always go the other route, even on blasters. I always take tough and weave and make sure the res or def is near the ED point.
  7. I expect you could be capped for run and jump speed with the right set up, even with only sprint, swift, hurdle and LR/quickness plus ios. Might take a silly number of dedicated slots though. For instance with 5×2 performance shifters that's 37.5% You could pull that off if electric melee. Plus you'd have lightning rod which is even faster with the right bind.
  8. Always did. Even when it was much harder. No one ever wanted to discuss tactics, try and avoid LOS or anything rational. Huge amount of the team wipes ive been in in COH would have been preventable. But, oh well. Now that you can build solo nigh unkillable death machines of roving death, its just better to do that. Then if your team wipes, pop some insps and lol to yourself when you survive and just solo till they get back.
  9. Every time ive been in a team wipe on that TF it was for that exact reason
  10. Surprise, giant rocket hammer to the face!
  11. Yeah spin also feels slow and breaks claws rythym some. Unlike shockwave which meshes perfectly.
  12. Yeah. I kind of see that as a net loss ..
  13. Stalkers are so close to scrappers, if this is a big consideration, you could possibly reroll as a stalker. Though the scrapper Ninja set looks to be better than the Stalker one.
  14. As far as the end tools EnA is unequalled. So yes. You can if you wish build Energize to be perma. You also can slot some End IOs in Energy drain to give you essentially a 100% blue bar on use.
  15. I'm actually kind of interested in this for a build lm currently planning/sourcing. Char is level 35 atm. I'd like to put 5 complete purple sets in my STJ/ENA stalker, but the best spot for the targetted AOE set is Spinning Strike. That is going to up the mag on 20% of my KDs it looks like, making those KB. Since the only reason this is going to happen is that all my slots for that power will be full, there is no further adjustment available. For now, I am okay with the extra KBs as the trade off, but if I could throw a global KB->KD in kick, that would be ideal.
  16. Lightning Reflexes and Quickness have a speed boost. So does shinobi in the Scrapper Ninja defense and the Ninja blaster set. Not sure if the biff levels for all those is the same.
  17. WM can do shield. Which in a couple of ways is in between EA and Bio since its defense based with a damage boost. Though without an End power sadly.
  18. Plus the whole enemy flailing away in mid air makes me giggle
  19. Possibly the range on the find enemies/glowies could be longer by having it be a click power that could not be made perma.
  20. Would be interesting if that effect could be increased.
  21. Just an alternative power that protected accuracy and added perception would be valuable as a pool power itself. Some of these could be auto powers or clicks as well. So for example, if you had the auto power of "perception" you get tactics level of blindness protection/perception and acc protection. But unlike Tactics it was self only, and wouldn't take any IO sets
  22. Interesting. Still, burst feels much slower than something like Dragons tail. You can throw that one out in mid ST beatdown and not break your rythym.
  23. Haijinx

    Kinetic melee

How about Stalkers though? They get build up instead. Their build up does stack for damage, and of course they have a build up ATO. Does hide effect the 20% chance to refresh?
  24. The game was never designed with pvp in mind. Its been a hack job from the start. And any balancing involved around it has never worked. I don't think hateful is the right word. But if that's the one you prefer, whatever.
  25. Im just putting a name to it. The sentiment has already existed since pvp for COH was itself in beta testing.
