  1. Broadsword and Kat have T1 and T2 flipped compared to other sets. BS especially has a high End T1. This would be awesome for them. Course probably not balanced, but hey, Power creep is cool now.
  2. Broadsword and Katana are going to love this option
  3. The longer I've been back in COH though, the more it seems power creep/bloat is a bigger issue than Newbie Friendliness.
  4. Hmm. Of course I can't be the only one who mostly plays on a different account than the one I use for the forums.
  5. I try to slot uniques as soon as feasible. Def uniques, stamina and helth uniques first. I try to slot ATOs at level 10 or so. I built in some kinetic combat sets at level 17-20 since those are really helpful. Then as I can I throw in LOTG recharge IOs. By the time I'm 35, I have a fairly complete build.
  6. A Night Widow really not much of a stalker. You can play one a bit like a light scrapper with some tricks+ team buffs. But if you want a stalker, play a stalker. They have been buffed a lot more than Widows.
  7. This seems a good distinction to make. Ethnic/cultural were terms used for what was often thought as same thing by people over a certain age. Maybe because those of us hovering near 50 grew up in more biased times. But cultural is probably the better descriptor here. As Leo suggests. There are some elements of this sort if Architecture variety in DCUO in Metropolis for example. But not Gotham. As far as skin color diversity, that seems to be already represented in COH and has been from the beginning.
  8. 99% of the suggestions made do not get adopted though. Even the ones with no new assets or specific coding requirements.
  9. Not sure this dataming would even be useful. There are a lot of people that level characters to 50 then stop playing them, thus don't ever finish builds. There are also players that level to 50 then strip out IOs to mail the next project.
  10. I wonder how hard it would be to do something more simple like make some signs in other languages. For example Dearborn in Michigan has a large middle eastern community, but the architecture is the same as the rest if the area, but the signs are in arabic.
  11. While not a bad idea, seems like an idea that needed proposed during the Alpha/beta of the main game, or one of the expansions. That said a lot of real cities on the east coast also lack the described architectural diversity. And some stuff may seem missing, but maybe not as much? For example I've never seen a mosque in City of Heroes. But I don't remember seeing any churches either? Churches may exist and never registered to me, though.
  12. Awesome
  13. Well the very stupid could make ST KB an issue. But mainly its a non thing. AOE KB though yeah.
  14. The whole SO level balance thing should be gradually phased out. Sure it was optional way back when. But cmon. The game is getting to be like playing with console cheats now.
  15. The bind approach turns it into a targetted AOE, which is way easier to live with.
  16. Didn't they add a damage component to the blaster version? That wouldn't be so bad. I'd vote for no damage but a AOE effect like the VEAT one.
  17. Except those Dual Pistol people with ultra violent John Woo Esque backgrounds? Cause they might.
  18. think most Blaster T1s were seen as an active survival vs one bad guy tool. The classic Mage Root and Shoot So either a immob Or a Knockback melee attack
  19. a Lot of good Superhero stories have basically been abandoned over the years. So at least its in good company.
  20. Back then I could only stand regen. Since without stamina everything was so painful. Except with claws you could do say SR with claws and survive until you got stamina.
  21. Kb protection, and a blue bar heal. Ninjitsu is def better on Scrappers.
  22. On an Eng blaster you can easily get off twice as many useful Eng Torrents and Explosive Blasts if they have KB->KD in them. Since position no longer matters, its like bowling with hand grenades.
  23. Of those three listed- SR can be made survivable with the fewest slots invested. Those slots, plus the 20% recharge can help offense. It lacks the layers of the other two, and the parry power is wasted most of the time once the build matures. A primary with AOE knockdown actually helps a lot more. Its hole is actually the level progression vs AOEs. Which is not there on Brutes. Invul is the toughest, since you can softcap many typed defenses AND cap S/L resist, with other resists decent. DP heals and caps hp. The parry power can protect you when def debuffed or exemped. You do have that gaping Psi hole and attempting to patch that can eat a lot of slots. Willpower is nice in that it has no holes. Its main weakness is slows, which hurt it offensively not defensively. It doesn't survive alphas as well as the other two, but has the advantage that adding defense and resist through IOs both makes you tougher and shores that problem up at the same time. You will get the most mileage of parry powers with WP. From personal experience once you get the typed defs around 30% you are roughly equal to a softcapped SR for most content. The question of Kat damage was brought up. Its above average, but not one of the top performers. It is better than BS.
