  1. I just remove channels where annoying people go to talk about annoying things - mainly General chat but also Indomitable Arena chat (BUT only because of one person - you all know who).
  2. If you are perceiving it as subpar where many experienced regen players are not, is it not possible that your perception is derived from having trouble with it? If your experience is not nigh universal, is that not an indicator that your experience could be subjective?
  3. Not expressing an opinion one way or the other, but just FYI: it’s an objective fact that politically relevant portions of Wikipedia are absolutely loaded with opinions. EDIT: I don’t oppose the suggestion as long as it doesn’t take significant amounts of developer time.
  4. Minimal FX options in general would be a very popular thing for devs to do a global pass on.
  5. Hard to say one’s better when they’ll both probably kick ass and both benefit from Singy keeping things grouped tightly. Ofc kin will have better offense so that if you’re comfortable with survivability. I went Sonic to abuse ally toggles with sorcery, but the changes also make me want a Grav/Storm. I have a Grav/Poison and Grav/Traps too but those are outdated builds now - I think any support set with AoE debuffs or patches is going to synergize well with new Singy. I will also highly recommend the freshly buffed Teleport Target for dropping Sing mid mob if you haven’t tried it already. Wormhole kind of covers this base but can miss plus not work against level 54 bosses.
  6. I don’t think it does from playing my Grav/Sonic sorcerer (I don’t think pseudopets or patches have ever done containment damage?) but haven’t verified in a combat log. I can confirm however that butts are still being stomped 🙂
  7. BillZ would claim the exact opposite. Can we decide which it is? 😞
  8. Where are these statistics found and are they broken down into powersets, levels, IO status, incarnate status, etc.? And would you have any interest in teaming up with a seasoned support character for a sesh?
  9. My post was specifically a reaction to the line “...in order to not just explode you want 45% s/l...”. Recommend it, sure, but don’t get people thinking they can’t handle the game without it - because frankly that thinking will make them bad players.
  10. I will submit that I am no expert at pre-50 content and that regen may very well need a buff that helps with those levels. Once you’re 50 and have all of the click tools? No, I don’t think it needs to be any stronger there. And also note that I am a big critic of the soft-cap-or-die meta because I like procs and offense better - I promise you my regen has nothing like that capped 😉
  11. Well I’m still skeptical as to how you can put out more DPS than a /fire brute, but you have convinced me to make my next influence project a second build for farming on my Plant/Psy Dom.
  12. I’m racking my brain for a fun answer. Best I’ve got so far is my SR tanker versus my SR sentinel or my Fortunata. That higher HP allows you to survive while scaling resistances kick in, and the higher resistance caps mean you practically have Moment of Glory at low HP. Whereas the latter two can faceplant if they run into a hefty alpha strike, the former is basically unkillable for next to no slotting investment.
  13. Too true, but I never take a self rez on a melee character because they don’t tend to die.
  14. I’ll acknowledge it plays differently due to requiring regular clicks, but that’s all I’m ready to admit at the moment. I’m certainly not faceplanting where my other brutes aren’t, but I am less able to just totally AFK mid-fight, yes.
  15. Source for the part in asterisks? My regen brute is awesome and I think I missed the memo.
  16. @America's Angel think you’ll do this justice better than me
  17. The most consistent Force Feedback usage I have comes with my Ill/Storm/Psy controller chaining Tornado, Lightning Storm, Psionic Tornado, and Gale. In an AoE setting (not vs. an AV), she feels like she can more or less have that buff all the time.
  18. That’s extremely fast. Do you have any numbers crunched that show total xp for a full run with most builds versus total xp with all the confuse you’re doubtlessly using? That would be necessary to put this in context, since Plant’s effectiveness is based on betting that the xp loss is made up for by the xp rate.
  19. You’re not going to get much traction removing Absorb Pain entirely. Too many people like it. Steer clear of those kinds of suggestions if wanting to see ideas taken seriously.
  20. I think it’s just really hard to change. It has a crash because its buff is insanely powerful, so it has to be punishing in some capacity to be balanced - the devs just haven’t found a crash palatable to both their design sense and to players yet. I think -defense is just an awful thing for melee to sign up for though - defense sets in particular. There are a lot of debuffs I’d sign up for before that. EDIT: Reading on further, I agree that I’d rather diminish the buff if it meant no crash. I think the rest of the set is fine but tweaks to the earlier attacks wouldn’t be too OP.
  21. I will grant you that they should probably rename the power. However, I don’t agree that the powerset needed to stay in the state of “only powerset in the game that requires you to self-gimp to reasonably function”. Especially since they still gave you the option to self-gimp if you dare use the set’s only unique standout power. So by all means pop Granite on and stay in the good ole days, but this change means others will actually want to play the set 🙂
  22. You may be right. I have only tested while applying the patch from stealth and flying right over the brute. I saw a lot of complaints about stealth so just assumed this was the issue. Shame if it’s another issue altogether - Sonic isn’t exactly overperforming.
  23. Irradiated Ground’s proc rate is likely to be nerfed at some point FWIW.
  24. I believe this is a side effect of the stealth bugs that are already being fixed on beta. So waiting to see when that goes live. Basically it might not be that Disruption Field drew aggro but rather that it just suppressed your stealth for the first time.
