But the issue is also that using it in between attacks probably hurts your DPS more than the extra insight strikes help…. -
Except for every single defender that has built themselves to be able to solo self sufficiently. If you build to be able to solo, however rarely or occasionally, you’ve built your character to run well without the endurance discount, rendering it completely useless when you do get it. There’s plenty of good inherents that don’t synchronize well with one or two powersets. Vigilance is the only I can think of that’s trash on all of them under fairly common circumstances.

Point is even if it’s most (zero evidence provided for that statement but let’s assume it’s true), it’s clearly not all, and your old computer is an anecdote - clearly a pretty great computer in that time. So maybe don’t assume people aren’t trying to help themselves since that’s a dickhead thing to get wrong.

To me, the only two “problems” are Touch of the Beyond and Soul Drain. 1) Touch of the Beyond is fine by the numbers but just plain annoying to remember to use. It’s not just a click; unlike Ninja Training it’s a click that is a bad idea to set to auto-cast. I live with it and won’t lose my mind if they keep it as is, but no doubt it’s the worst Blaster sustain power. 2) Soul Drain is actually a great power due to buff uptime, but it basically means the set is a bad idea for an all ranged approach. Other sets share this problem; many of them contribute next to nothing at range… but a Build Up power is sort of more important than any of the other examples like /Fire, /Sonic, /Electric, /Mental, etc Everything else is fine. And the set does fine provided you go in accepting (1) I’m building a Blapper here, not some sniper and (2) I’ll have to periodically check on Touch of the Beyond. Still, could totally be better.

I play every AT/powerset in the game except for some MM primaries and Dom secondaries I never got to. I assure something doesn’t need to be “as good as I think it is” because I just know these things firsthand 🙂 Fortunatas are in a great place IMO. Soft capped defense to everything with SO’s, lots of AoE power between Wail/Nado/Spin, both Follow Up and Aim, can still get higher damage melee attacks or Gloom if moderate + procs is no good for you, etc. They’re pretty dang easy to do well with tbh.

Check the animation times, recharge times, DPA’s, and AT mods man. Looks like a solid power. Superior or Extreme is an absurd idea. Also, on an AT already full of psi damage, I think the smashing damage helps more than hurts. In case you ever have to shoot a robot, you know. Now if you want to buff Mental Blast go ahead.

Mac, can't run mids, but can screenshot. I also want to hedge and say this build is due for an update. I don't play it a lot right now, like my Grav/Sonic and Grav/Storm with Sorcery/Teleportation a lot more right now since the Singularity change, and if I were going to play it more again, I'd probably clean it up with at least a light respec. But anyway logged in rq and here's what's on there atm. A few details make me wonder what I was thinking back then but oh well. Defenses and damage procs look right overall though. Usually I would just solo +3x8 on it since Wormhole will still work on bosses that way. Give myself enough set up time to lay 3-4 Trip Mines and whatever else happens in that time frame. TP the mob on top of the whole apparatus = where'd the mob go. Not uncommon to see bosses drop from 100% to 0%.

Savage. Yeah, staking out the position that the Paragon devs had data and thus their choices must've been infallible - that theory's got a couple cracks. They nuked their own PvP population with incomprehensibly bad changes and didn't have the brains to undo a thing.

Oh sure, additional endurance discount could still help. And sure plenty of builds won't need Incarnates (OR Vigilance). My problem with it is this: you don't get it all the time. And unlike a damage buff, that's not ok. Endurance management is a non-negotiable to me. Why would you intentionally build your character to fail solo or on small teams just to derive some benefit from Vigilance on a large team. So ofc I'm going to have to build my character to handle its endurance anyway. So after that, what then is the point?

Considering he mocked me for suggesting that not everyone can do it, it seemed obvious in his future posts that he was taking the stance that everyone can do it. Otherwise why would you mock a fact..... I admit to overlooking his "almost". Easy to do when he's mocking that notion himself.

I think you're talking about the minimal text that will fit on the actual grey button while I'm talking about the text that shows when you right click a macro image. Example: when I right click my little "1" button on my Fire tank, I see detail text for the macro: "Build #1 - Farming". Quite a lot more than you can fit on the actual little grey button. /macro_image "StaffFighting_PerfectionofSoulLevel1" "Build #1 - Farming" "select_build 1" So for you this text might be "Fire Mastery" or "Elec Mastery" or something. You can also ofc name the build itself at the trainer if you are switching builds there. -

Why don’t you just name the build or the build-change macro something that will help you remember? That’s what I do, were I ever to forget. -
Anecdotal completely debatable point, and especially dependent on your definition of “no problems”. Maybe true, but telling people to create alt accounts and simply assuming it is true is ignorant and unhelpful.

Yeah, sure, though I don’t think Recovery Aura, Heat Loss, whatever needs to be mentioned. The point of mentioning Incarnates is because, shortly after you hit level 50, *every* character in the game has access to tools that render endurance problems completely non-existent. (Assuming you avail yourself of the resources, Rud 😉 )

You’re more or less saying here “it needs to be useful at all levels of play” but then “endurance discount shouldn’t be ruled out because its still useful at lower levels of play”. Which is it?

Yeah “flip a switch and fix it later” is not usually the responsible developer approach. Not how it’s going to work. Also, “lowest damage AT in the game right now” is very debatable. For instance, they have some of the best single target DPS in the game, FWIW. -

Would probably be easier to do that than to completely rebalance every single numerical value (damage, HP, you name it) because you changed their levels. Either way it seems the devs have their work cut out for them on MM’s.
