  1. Congrats to the winners! I'm happy to be part of the team, even if I never win, place or show! It's a good cause.
  2. +1 The ability to "lock" something in so that you can't mess it up while you fiddle with other parts would be great.
  3. MM's can at least drop inspirations on their pets and it uses them on that pet. Controllers can't do that. I use the team inspirations to but my Phantasm. I assume it would work on Imps or other as well, I've just not got another Controller / Dom to pet level yet to confirm.
  4. I only really notice the excessive nudging that occurs when zoning or team teleporting. I think that is just because the game tries to stick the characters models in the same spot and it takes a while for the server and clients to fight it out for positioning. Other than that, maybe I just don't notice. Sometimes if I'm trying to level up at Ms. Liberty or something, but it is almost always a crowded place where I notice it so I assume it is just a crowding issue more than intentional.
  5. You may want to play with the "/noparticles 1" and "/noparticles 0" commands to see if they can help. I'll use them from time to time when I get TOO many buffs / AoE stacking up on and around me (mostly on my melee characters). It causes other problems with seeing effects in the game, but if you macro it up for each you can toggle it quickly.
  6. I like the idea, as long as there aren't centipedes. I hate centipedes!
  7. I've been getting GPU work units. I typically only fold at night (US Mountain Time) if that matters at all.
  8. Were you the team leader at the time? If so, you might be hitting the bug below where the leader gets less XP than the members of the group for the mission complete. My weekly group runs into this. Our solution is to pass the star to the person that dings first. From what we've seen it doesn't matter whos mission it is, it is just the team leader that takes the XP hit.
  9. I think that is already established canon at this point: 🙂
  10. I have a sucky slow machine, in fact, it is the same machine (upgraded OS and video card) that I ran "Live" CoH on, so I fold to help out and show support for the community. That being said, I think that rewards should be based on who folds the most. The most folds (measured in work units or points or whatever) wins for the month. Does that mean that the same people will probably win every month? Yeah, it probably does. Costume contests probably have the same small pool of winners too. There nothing wrong with that. Does that that mean that my ONLY chance of winning is the random draw? It sure does. And that's ok.
  11. The more I see that GIF the funnier it gets! I don't see inflation ever being a problem in this game UNLESS the devs quit seeding the components OR stop allowing purchase of recipes with merits. There just isn't a way to drive up prices beyond a set amount. Yes, you might find someone that will pay more than they need to for an enhancement, but the point is that you wont' HAVE to. Since the supply is unlimited, there shouldn't be any kind of huge inflation. Stagnation maybe, once everyone gets everything they want for every character they have, but that is a different problem all together.
  12. If Patrol XP is really the problem, then don't allow level 50 chars to earn Patrol XP. They don't "need" it since they are already "max" level. Vet levels come pretty quick already, so having Patrol XP isn't a big help with that.
  13. Crazy. Earning extra Inf while exemplaring down has been a thing since exemplaring has been. Shame, but ok.
  14. Now that I'm home, it looks like each Folding Slot lets you choose On Idle if you'd like. For this screenshot I have the "main" setting to run on Full and the Slot ID 01 is my GPU, which I selected at "On Idle". It doesn't quite show in the screenshot but it says Paused:waiting for idle on the GPU ID.
  15. In the Advanced Control app, you can pause the CPU or the GPU independently. You might be able to set it to "Full" and then manually pause the GPU. I'm not sure that would, and I'm not at home at the moment to test it.
  16. I think you can right click to drop a thumbtack on the store/trainer and (I believe) that will stay for you regardless of the team leader selecting new items. The thumbtack might not be exactly the right position but it should be close enough to get you in sight of your goal.
  17. I'm folding for Homecoming. I've got slow rig, so my only chance of getting any HC loot is the random draw, but it still feels good to help out.
  18. Clear Mind did NOT get that, but I don't know about others. EDIT: Sorry, was looking at an unrefreshed version. I didn't mean to answer a question that was already answered.
  19. Funny (to me) side story: My friend has a much nicer machine than I do and would constantly ride me with the "frames win games" statement. Well, he moved his machine and when he set it back up he accidentally plugged into the onboard video (both had HDMI connections) and his games ran POORLY. He called me to take a look at it. I asked him what he had done recently and he copped to moving things around, so I checked the cabling and saw what he did. I fiddled around for a bit and then told him that he'd used all of his prepaid frames that came with the card and that he needed to buy more from Nvidia. He was MAD!!! I let him rant for a few minutes and then told him that he'd just plugged into the wrong card and it was fine now that I'd moved it back. Somewhat related: This could be it. It does sound similar to what my friend was seeing.
  20. You earn patrol XP (or rested XP) when you are logged out. While you have patrol XP you earn a little extra XP. If you are level 50 and have "when exmplared, give inf instead of XP" set, then that extra Patrol XP converts to Inf, also since you aren't gaining XP, the patrol XP doesn't deplete while playing. So it isn't something you turn on, but it is something that is nice to have. If you turn "earn XP" back on a level 50 to gain vet levels, once you are done, you can benefit by logging out for a bit and building some Patrol XP before running again with XP turned off. Note: As I read what I just wrote, it is a mess. Lots of reference to XP, Patrol XP, Inf, argh.. I've tried twice to reword, but I'm not getting it any clearer with it so I'm giving up.
  21. Since it is a new rig, you've tested to make sure that drivers and BIOS are up to date, particularly on the video card? Do you play any other games, online or otherwise? Have they had any problems? What were the results of the netgraph that GM Tahquitz suggested? Any lag spikes?
  22. I have been accumulating a few catalysts on my level 50. I did not until THIS moment realize that the drop was limited to 1 per day per level 50. <mind blown>
  23. The great thing about this game is that you can play just about anything and still have it work and be successful. You don't have to min/max in order to contribute to a team. As long as you are having fun playing, then that is all that should matter.
  24. Welcome back! As for getting your old characters back, that isn't possible, but you can certainly remake them from scratch and level them up!
  25. Thank you! I like that as a starting point. I think I'll load that costume and see about some small tweaks. I think I need to determine power set, since seeing the sword and shield seemed off to me. I didn't think I had powers in mind yet, but at some level I must have something.
