  1. Might be more long-form than you're looking for .... https://www.npr.org/2022/03/10/1085780962/patrick-stewart-on-star-trek-picard
  2. fwiw - If the poster deleted their own post, that most likely would not delete the quotes of the deleted post. Wouldn't be the first time a forum member removed their own content resulting in an assumption it had been staff moderated. 😉 Note ... if ... 🍻
  3. @blue4333 - I stand by my comments. Abusive language is trolling and there has been too much of it here lately. Tack on the posts and threads that are blatant baiting, mix in a little bit of arguing for the sheer sake of arguing, and we've got what we've got now. 🤷‍♂️ I take no "sides" in those particular posts, make no reference (EDIT: no intentional reference - if someone inferred that I meant one 'side' or another then that is my failure in clearly communicating my meaning) to specific groups or factions, and instead discuss specific behaviors. If your objective was to accuse me of calling a sub-set of people "trolls" because of the opinions they hold, then I have failed to communicate my original point. I don't consider someone a troll because of what they think about the game, I consider someone a troll because how they conduct themselves and the way in which they chose to express themselves. Behaviors are what designate trolls. Not opinions. We've got plenty of trolls of all opinions around here. When I come in to a thread and meme on it for giggles I am also one if them of a sort, but at least I'm just trying to lighten the mood. And just to be on topic: Am I the only one that thinks bragging about the size of one's ignore list is the strangest e-peen flex of all time? 🍻
  4. Floki approves more weapon models for Dual Blades Wield.
  5. Behold! Put those in your rocky road! Assuming they are edible, and not the cursed abomination they appear to be.
  6. IIRC I froze at 8 and got away with it, but my run was in 2020, so the memory is fuzzy. Others have had trouble with certain contacts so locking at 7 is the safest bet. If I ran it again I'd lock at 7, etc. Once you're done with the Nova contacts, turn XP back on and either run the repeatable contact (Clockwork guy), or street sweep Imperial until you hit 9 and the contacts start talking to you again. You can navigate the zones at any level, the contacts just won't speak to you if you are out of their level range. Definitely start in the tutorial and do the undercover stuff. 👍
  7. In a nutshell? Stay at the locked level until you're done with each zone. Locking them a level or two early as indicated in Apparition's guide is the safest route. Thanks to @Templarstone for posting the updated guide. I had forgotten it was Apparition that wrote it.
  8. This is the most correct.
  9. This is an old guide, but I was able to follow it long ago, while turning off XP at appropriate times, to successfully run all Goldside arcs on a single toon in a single run. You have to be real careful about timing the XP gates and order of operations. Someone, sorry that I have forgotten whom, has updated things a bit to make it easier, but the OG guide does work if one is very careful. My run was from a Loyalist start. Eventually I might do it again with a Resistance start, but it is a big time commitment to solo through it all. Yes - it was not a great design choice with respect to level gating on Goldside - but that choice was made long, long ago during Retail. The best we've got is the work-around or Oro. I prefer the work-around personally. Are the Undercover operations available when doing them in Oro? Those are the most interesting part, but iirc one must start in the Goldside tutorial to access them.
  10. Is it safe for me to assume that the use of the word Brainstorm in your thread title was completely intentional? 🤣 ... because one can literally do this on B'Storm, and Freebies Menu themselves whatever they want for the build.
  11. Quick side note: +Res Tanker ATO is crazy good in IG, even at 1 check every 10 secs it was consistently stacked in my short test with big mobs in Eden.
  12. On the subject of updates: From Brainstorm, latest patch. Target cap reset to 10. If someone else could double check this, that would be great. I was seeing weird hit rolls where only 1 roll was made, then the next block >5 rolls made. Probably just mobs moving around. EDIT: Ignore previous comment about ATOs. I forgot that the toon already had one of them slotted elsewhere. Duh! 🤣
  13. A few minutes ago I searched on YT for the National Parks Conservation Association - I got three letters into 'Conservation' and was immediately served "National Parks Conspiracy Documentary" as the first suggested result. I blame you. This is all your fault. 🤣
  14. In before Tod Browning clips start appearing in the thread.
  15. Sometimes I dream of electric sheep.
  16. This has given me ideas. BRB, looking up synonyms for "The Constable."
  17. This is the only part of IG that was problematic; that it would previously check for chances to proc at twice the rate of every other dmg aura in the game. It was absolutely not WAI in its previous state and was deservedly fixed. We went through this during Retail when Interface was first released and it proc'd on every tick of damage - all auras get a chance every 10s. IG was proc'ing every 5 seconds. Broken. Should some of the other powers in RM get reviewed after this change? Absolutely. Proc-Bomb'd IG carried the set. This is overkill. It should have standard dmg aura stats in terms of size and target cap. Relative damage to other auras should be commensurate with existing standards. Auras that lack a debuff do slightly more damage, ones that do do slightly less. Unless I am mistaken the standard number of targets affected should be 10.
  18. Extra Bonus Points for "Brat Out Of Hell." Was she gone when the morning came?
  19. FWIW, there are a ton of places in melee set descriptions/detailed info displays with wildly inaccurate "Only using Firey Embrace" text.
  20. Everyone sleeps on Gravitic Interface. But if you're running a toon that leans into -rech/-spd, that might be short-sighted. Reactive and Degenerative are often saturated on teams/leagues anyway (there are limits to the DoT stacks, from all sources), so Interface is generally a good place to experiment. I gave Gravitic Core a go on my Fire/Martial blaster, stacking it onto Reaction Time. Slow + Slow + Oh, yeah, RoF which is guess what? More Slow. If I ever make a /Ice Blaster I'll repeat this trick. Bear in mind I am one of those folks with not many alts post-50, and the one that are generally carry more than one option for multiple iPowers. I'm working on an experimental Beam/Dev blaster designed specifically for team based fire support that might actually test out Hybrid Support to fully lean into the concept.
  21. Laser Beam Eyes, any version.
  22. Procs all fire at the exact same time; simultaneously with the attack. Increased crit rate is for subsequent attacks. I think someone figured out when the timer officially started but that thread is long since buried, probably. I think it was at activation, but "time before effect" might come into play and since Client and Server are only sort of in-sync with each other it can get difficult to accurately measure fractional seconds. The only way a Proc will impact the power in which it fires is if it is a -Res proc and the damage is on a delay like in powers like Savage Leap or Mass Levitate. In those instances the -Res occurs when the power fires and the delayed damage baked into the power benefits from it. Burn's exception to this rule and it's multi-dipping procs with patch-magic is fixed in the current Beta. Claws should be able to; if I remember correctly the buff calculated at activation time. Pretty sure on Savage I was able to trigger it with Leap and get in MS->VS and then trigger RF just in time to apply the buff there as well. Only in Quills and Irradiated Ground. Auras in Scrapper Secondaries do not Crit, nor do regular attacks like Shield Charge or Ground Zero. Brimstone is the only ability in a Scrapper Secondary that will currently check for crits. I vaguely remember being told during Page 3 Beta that Brimstone's crit chance should be affected by ATO2, but I'd have no idea how to build a test methodology for this. 😄
  23. I ran DM/Stone in Beta for that page. Was an interesting combo; DC and SD spread Brimstone around nicely and it was quite durable. Claws will probably lay down more damage though.
  24. Dark Astoria and the Mot arcs.
