    OSA question

    While I normally use Electrified Net Arrow to light it (and have a bind that automatically targets the oil slick and fires it), I've noticed that the Interface Reactive Radial proc will self-light the oil slick.

    Fire/Time/Dark

    Power Boost or Power Build Up is almost mandatory with /Time. Use it before Farsight and you've soft-capped your defense. Not sure why you're waiting until 47 to get Slowed Response. That's your big -res/-def debuff. Would take that at 35.
  3. I think this issue is larger than just debuff procs. There's a decently large number of procs that can't be slotted in powers that don't aggro, making it impossible to get the 6-piece bonus for those sets. Smoke, Smoke Grenade, Flash Arrow and Blinding Powder can't use the procs from the tohit debuff sets. Sleep powers that don't aggro can't use the proc from Induced Coma, Overpowering Presence, Will of the Controller or Dominating Grasp sets. (Call of the Sandman, Fortunata Hypnosis and Ascendency of the Dominator procs are OK.) Confuse powers that don't aggro can't use the procs from Cacophony, Malaise's Illusions, Overpowering Presence, Will of the Controller or Dominating Grasp sets. (Coercive Persuasion and Ascendency of the Dominator procs are OK.) I think the simplest answer would be to add a second, non-aggroing proc to the offending sets that was mutually exclusive with the other proc (i.e., you couldn't slot both procs).
  4. @Hyperstrike Was going through some screenshots from live and found this. Was right after Dr. Kahn launched but before they fixed it so that you couldn't defeat him.
  5. Slotting confuse (and endred) is your best bet. Unenhanced, the confuse effect has a 30% chance to occur every time the power pulses (every 2 seconds) and has a 3.7 second duration at lvl 50 (the duration is shorter at lower levels). Fully enhanced, the duration is almost double, increasing the chances that foes in the AoE stay confused. Slotting for slow isn't worth it, as it comes close to flooring movement speed out of the box.   6. I haven't tried all of them yet, but I think I've done 15. It's almost always thematic. Depending on the AT, sometimes I want a ranged pet. Some of the melee pets like to get themselves squashed almost immediately. I haven't been impressed with the radial pets. I don't find the buffs to be that useful, and I'd rather have the additional damage from the core pets. (In addition to having 2 dps pets, the core pets do more damage than their radial counterparts.) In addition to BP, I've been impressed with the Carnival, Knives and Talons. Polar Lights and Robotic Drones are unobtrusive and good if you want more AoE.
  7. Electric is the only control set I haven't played, although I've teamed with plenty. I think Mind works a lot better on a dominator. You don't have to worry about setting up containment, with permadom Mass Confusion is up every 70-90 seconds (and affects bosses), and you can fill with Total Domination or Terrify when it's on cooldown. The other candidate for confuse that you don't mention is Ice, although I don't think you'll get the damage you're looking for from Arctic Air as it also does fear, -speed and -recharge. I had an Ice/TA back on live, and while it didn't defeat stuff quickly, it sure could control a battlefield.
  8. I don't have EMP Arrow in my current TA build so wasn't aware of this, but it explains why the EMP Arrow Burst pseudo pet is missing from the Controller and Corrupter versions of Trick Arrow on CoD. Suggests that the power currently doesn't debuff or do damage either?
  9. It debuffs defense AND it debuffs resistance to endurance, recovery, tohit, regen, recharge and heal debuffs. It debuffs the strength of mezz effects used by the target, although I'm not sure if it reduces duration, magnitude or both. EMP has both a foe debuff and an ally buff. The ally buff is damage resistance and mezz protection. It debuffs the strength of end drain powers used by the target.
  10. This pairing seems like it would be at odds. Kinetics requires you to get into melee range a lot, while BR is all ranged and has 2 cones.

    Dark Dark

    My Dark/Dark is a tank, but I really like the changes to Touch of Fear. The tohit defuff and fear are still single target, but the damage and taunt are AoE. I have it loaded with 1 acc plus 4 procs and spam the hell out of it. I believe the proc chance is calculated on the ST table, because they go off a lot. I skip Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom entirely.

  13. I seem to get them more often solo than on TFs. Ran the Sister Solaris arc a few days ago at +4/x4 and got 1 purple and 1 PVP recipe. (BTW, the last mission of that arc is fun.) Have you run the Market Crash trial? The first time you complete it you're guaranteed to receive a purple recipe.
  14. I craft the purple and PVP drops and sell them. If I need a set I buy them. I feel like it's inefficient to store the recipes.
  15. Originally this was Soul Mastery patron power available to brutes, dominators and VEATs, so nobody expected it to do much. For some reason it got added to Dark Blast for sentinels. Try it on a dominator with Domination up. The only change to this power since launch is that it now persists after the anchor is defeated. It's a huge -dmg/-tohit debuff. Very much worth using on AVs. The animation definitely needs to be looked at. Particularly frustrating since you're not doing anything through most of it - just looks like you're trying to take a dump. Ummmm, no. Patently false.
  16. I've got 20 incarnates, of which 17 have full T4. Contrary to what others have said, I find the T4 Alpha, Lore, Destiny and Hybrid powers to be significantly better than the T3 versions. I don't really keep track of when I complete T4 (and I often delay getting Interface), but the one I completed most recently is currently vet level 20 and I probably completed most before that. For the most part I get the salvage by completing incarnate trials and DA arcs. Tinpex is very efficient, as you can get two reward tables plus 80 reward merits in under 30 minutes. If you've got a lot of emp merits, you can also convert them to rares and very rares.
  17. I've got a few alts that took Spirit Ward when it was a click buff (as a prerequisite to Rune of Protection). It wasn't a great buff as a click, but it's terrible as a toggle. The endurance cost is way too high for the small buff it provides. I've tried using it on dominator pets and the impact on their survivability is nil.

  20. I like Static Discharge, which has a 12 second recharge on the Electrical Mastery version (vs. 32 seconds on Mu Mastery version with virtually the same damage). Works well on a Dark blaster that already has 2 cones. I've also gotten some good mileage from Surge of Power as an "oh crap" power - the blaster version has no health crash, just an endurance crash.
  21. Here's my current Dark/Dark build. This was a recent project that was part of a SG leveling team. I haven't slotted any purples or winters yet, but it's stupid tough as is. I don't have capped defense to anything, but really haven't missed it. Strongly recommend you take a look at Touch of Fear, which is now an AoE attack (the fear and tohit debuff are still single target) on an 8 second recharge. I tried this and really didn't feel like it was offsetting the end cost. I moved the Theft of Essence proc to Siphon Life, which I use as part of my attack chain, and hit Dark Consumption after using Dark Regeneration if needed.
