  1. No thanks. Removing the scaling damage resistance is a non-starter. I don't think an increased passive healing rate is going to help you when a big attack gets through your defense. I'd rather be at 10% health with capped resists and pop an inspiration. I think making the toggles into autos and the T9 into a toggle would be incredibly imbalanced. I'm not sure what the issue is running 3 toggles. I run those plus tough, weave and assault and have no endurance problems.
  2. Hardly. It's completely superfluous the way it is. If I'm running 50-60% defense to all positions w/o Elude (on a tank), do I really need Elude for the recovery, run speed and jump height buff on a 17 minute recharge? Providing massive +def to a set that can soft cap already is silly, so I skipped the T9. I'd like to see Elude get the Meltdown/Strength of Will/MoG treatment (more modest buffs on a shorter timer) - cut the +def in half (or more) and add some combination of +res or +hp or +rech.

  4. Not saying they can't do it, but there's a tipping point. If the damage doesn't surpass your regen rate, you can live forever. Once it does...
  5. I've only played it on a scrapper, but I'm not surprised it doesn't work on a tanker. When faced with enough damage it gets overwhelmed, nor does it withstand alpha strikes well.
  6. Much of Regen's +regen is unresistable.
  7. Instant Healing was changed in August 2005. Folks need to get over it already. I played regen for many years after the change and it was fine. Moment of Glory was changed in February 2008. Most consider that change an improvement, but nobody talks about that.
  8. Drop Conserve Power and Physical Perfection. As said, you really don't need the slots in health and drop defense slots from Stealth. Take MoG and slot for recharge Add more damage resistance to Tough and one more slot to Resilience. 6 slotting Unbreakable Guard (with 7.5% +hp) will give you some nice bonuses. Swap one of your Doctored Wounds sets for Preventative Medicine and 6 slot. You will pick up more +recharge and the +absorb proc.
  9. I still see plenty of rads. Granted the debuffs become less valuable when you get to the end game. While the -res is nice, the real positive is -regen. I believe it still has the biggest regen debuff (-500%) in the game. The heal has always been meh.
  10. It's "Player X's copy of PowerName", however, multiple Achilles' Heel procs are considered the same power and you can never have more than one in effect. Not sure whether the Annihilation or Gladiator proc stacks with Achilles' Heel, but all of them will stack with Envenom and Venemous Gas (which stack with each other).
  11. Twilight Grasp - I think the real justification for making it 1.20x accuracy is that Transfusion (Kinetics' heal) has it. Howling Twilight - I believe this has Afraid (the run away kind), not Fear. Black Hole - People have been calling this the worst power in the game for years. At the very least it needs to get the Dimension Shift treatment (toggle allowing you to interact with the phased foes). Keep in mind that most of these powers are shared with Dark Miasma and any changes would impact defenders, corruptors and master minds.

  15. Anybody ever try dark/elec? Seems like the combo should work, but surprised there's only 1 lvl 50. I've played both sets (dark as a corruptor), but never together.
  16. I had a dark/rad defender back on live which I remade as a rad/dark corruptor on HC. Ignoring the defense/resistance, I have a few suggestions: Slot Fearsome Stare with accurate tohit debuff sets. The base fear duration is long enough and everything will be dead before it expires. On the other hand, the tohit debuff is the same strength as Darkest Night and really benefits from enhancement. Dark Servant should be slotted with a combination of accurate tohit debuff and accurate healing sets. Most of what he does is debuff and heal. Slotting the hold is a bit of a waste. Don't bother slotting boxing, especially on a defender.
  17. Yes please. I have a SR/Staff tank. Every time Practiced Brawler goes off it triggers a redraw.
  18. On beta server today: Shadow Maul (Tanker, Scrapper, Brute, Stalker) is now a much larger, faster cone that's actually capable of easily hitting multiple targets - especially on tanks! Arc increased from 45 to 120 degrees. Recharge increased from 8 to 14 seconds. Cast Time reduced from 3.07 to 2.35 seconds. Damage lowered from scale 2.156 to 1.588. DPS reduction is minor, it has only been lowered from scale 0.653 to scale 0.633. Target Cap increased from 10 to 16 for Tankers. Target Cap increased from 5 to 10 for Scrappers, Brutes and Stalkers.
  19. Correct, but working around it isn't that difficult as hurricane can be toggled off and back on pretty quickly. I generally don't keep hurricane up full time anyway.
  20. It's a mix. Some attacks are energy/smashing, some are energy/toxic. The aura and the contaminated bonus damage are 100% toxic.
  21. Three of the radiation melee attacks deal toxic damage (cone, aura and PBAoE) and the rest deal bonus toxic damage to contaminated foes.
  22. I had a Storm/Rad back on live that I played from 2005 until shutdown. Absolutely loved the combo, but I haven't recreated it on HC. I might have a build saved somewhere, but it's probably way out of date.

  24. Yes, eventually the RNG will allow something to get through. Most of the time it barely nudges your health bar and you just heal it back. It has to be something that hits REALLY hard and kills you in one shot. Otherwise, you're standing there at 10% health with capped defenses and close to capped resistance (due to scaling damage resistance) and can pop some inspirations. The last time I died, the Crimson Prototype hit me for over 1,000 hp. Also, most sets that get to the defense cap via IO bonuses have no resistance to defense debuffs. SR tank has 121% resistance to defense debuffs. The risk is tohit buffs.
