  1. You asked to point out any power creep if we see it so ill mention what i see. A new form with 4 powers means that pick would give you 4 extra slots. The next 2 powers are a wild card slot and the last 2 powers are both 2 wild card slots. You will end up with 6 more slots than kheldians currently have if you select all the powers. You could skip the new form and the powers at 35 38 41 and 44 could just be 4 slots and 2 bonus slots to place anywhere instead of the first slot being locked to its power. Kheldians are kinda a mess when it comes to the amount of powers they have and there are several situations where a power is taken and left as 1 slot and never used. Being able to shift slots from unused power picks into useful abilities would be power creep. That doesnt make it a good or a bad thing though, just that it would exist. Maybe it would be the boost that kheldians need to see a bit more game time. I rarely see any as things are now. From a technical standpoint, there is nothing in the game currently that lets you get a bonus slot. I heard the retail devs tried a bonus slot back in the pay to win days and it screwed with the game engine in new and exciting ways to the point that they gave up on the money and scrapped the idea. The current devs have shown ability to make the previously impossible into a reality so maybe this wouldnt be a problem.
  2. Certainly copies and counterfeits exist in the real world, but we are playing a comic book super hero game. Much less often do you see generic copies of the heroes special gear in use in the comics. Its also not the legal system so precedent doesnt mean much either. Ive mostly seen the current devs leave the unique npc stuff in reserved status so we should consider it an uphill climb to convince them otherwise. We have X so give us Y might not be enough to crest the hill. At least if i was a dev it wouldnt convince me.
  3. Ill try to offer some helpful tips since the bug report is lacking on important information. Your internet between your home and your service provider may be perfect but your isp doesnt connect directly to homecomings server. It hops through multiple ISPs on its way to the homecoming ISP. Its much more likely that a lag report from a single player is caused by packet loss somewhere along the route instead of the destination. Try running ping plotter or any other program that can check for packet loss along the entire route. The team here is a bunch of programmers and number crunchers and showing them some data that shows they are the cause will encourage their action much more likely than your ISP doesnt like Asia will. Edit ('your' was intended to refer to HC, not the OP. I see that saying 'their' would have been more clear, my bad).
  4. Fun one about malaise costume parts being available, someone was asking for the top and bottom pattern to line up and the response was that is supposed to be a dev only costume part. And if i find the post where a dev said we only got the aeon gloves because they were no longer unique to a signature npc, ill link it. That indicates to me that the current devs are less likely to make all npc items automatically available.
  5. Its not a set in stone rule, but in general, most signature NPCs with unique items arent made available to players. We got aeon gloves when the gold brickers got them which made them not unique. There are about a million carnie masks so those were never unique. Cool NPC stuff does get made available and if shadow hunters spear is just cool looking spear and not cool looking spear of 1 of a kind magical artifact forged in the heart of a dying star and can never be remade, then sure.
  6. I rarely get an SO drop that i would use and 3 times more rare is that i would have 3 to combine into something else. With SO vendors all over it would be easier to sell 3 bad drops and buy what i need.
  7. If they arent supposed to be unique artifact type weapons that are specific to the character then sure. I dont know about shadow hunter but i think valkyrie's sword or spear granted her power.
  8. Someone could manipulate a low demand item for a short time and make almost no profit because the item was low demand to begin with. Attempting to manipulate a high demand item takes hours of work every single day. You have to login when you first wake up and buy all the new stock that the marketeers put up at fair prices then collect all of those from the AH and re-list them. Then you have to repeat the process every 1-2 hours to ensure no product is listed under your price for very long. And you have to hope nobody notices that you are trying to manipulate an item or they will keep converting to that enhancement to sell to you at your inflated price. The end result is you end up with dozens of enhancements that you paid 6 million for and were attempting to sell for 8 million when nobody will pay more than 3 million. You end up having to sell for 2 million just to offload 50 or more enhancements and take a loss of 4 million on each. Trying to manipulate the market is a cool way to lose a lot of money quick. And all of this is just for a single item. Ramp that up to every enhancement in the game and you need a group of people with so much money that they dont mind losing billions of inf every day to cover the losses of their attempted market manipulation. The amount of people that would have to be involved in a price manipulation conspiracy and nobody let the secret out would be insane. So price manipulation becomes illogical and the logical explanation becomes devaluation of the currency through rampant printing of money (influence generation through regular gameplay and farming). 4 years ago when there was only a trillion inf in the economy, all those enhancements for a build only cost 20 million. Now, when there is 300 quadrillion inf in the economy, people are willing to spend more to 'get it now' and that same build costs 100 million. This is still due to the players who are buying enhancements and not from the players who are placing enhancements for sale.
  9. Play a tank to survive that last 10%.
  10. Looks like z fighting. 2 textures are overlapped and alternating what one is displayed as the camera moves. It is usually fixable by floating or sinking 1 texture slightly. I think the geometry errors bug report section wants these kinds of errors reported as well.
  11. Assuming they are here to stay, are the new reactions supposed to mean anything? I just take them all to mean haha but im wondering what others might think. I would hate to domigator when i should have bulgaria'd.
  12. People on Torchbearer are too busy having fun playing city of heroes to have drama.
  13. In that case, keep hitting up to use even older messages again.
  14. U can spam tells alot faster by hitting enter to begin chat and then the up arrow to display your previous message and then hit enter again to send it. Clicking through the popmenu would be alot slower spam than what we already have available. I dont see any request for there to be a popup, just that it would be an option in the popmenu.
  15. If it was on homecoming's end then wouldnt the entire playerbase be affected? Myself and nobody in our hami raid for the last few weeks has said anything about lag.
  16. Thats cheating. But u have the knife and a radioooooo !
  17. Now all we need is for Jimmy to arrive and complete the set by reacting with the knife. We have television but no radiooooooooo. Use them quick before Cipher notices and takes them away.
  18. There was 1 time that someone was manipulating the market. They bought all the yellow salvage and inflated the price from 1500 to 20,000. It lasted a few days and a few people threw a fit and then it went back to normal. Other than that, marketeers are actually helping keep the prices stable. Most of the time they are buying undesirable enhancements and recipes, crafting and converting them to sets that people want. So now there is a buyer for the junk that people dont want and a seller of desirable items. In the process they do make a profit but that doesnt mean they are manipulating the market. It means they are getting paid for the time resources and risk involved in converting low value items in to high value items. Prices have also slowly risen over time. This is because as more and more inf is earned through defeating enemies and players become richer, they are willing to spend more to 'get it now' as opposed to placing a bid and waiting for it to win. This inflation is caused by all methods of influence earning when the game creates inf out of thin air as a reward for the player. AE farming is generally considered the fastest method of generating influence but all inf rewards from the system are included. Earning influence through marketeering doesnt generate inf. It transfers inf between players and takes a percentage of the transaction as a fee and deletes it from the game. This is one of the few ways that influence is removed from the game and is the main way that any deflation of the economy occurs. Without marketeers the economy would inflate back to the levels seen on retail servers where white salvage would sell for 125k and a purple enhancement cost 4 billion, yes 4 billion. You would have to max out influence on 2 characters and send it to the seller to get a single enhancement. And while current prices dont match up with the budget guide that was referenced from 4 years ago, its not due to marketeering or anyone trying to manipulate the market. Its due to the rampant influence generation that occurs from just playing the game. Its easy to point the finger at AE farmers as the cause of inflation but really all gameplay contributes. If the devs put penalties in place like those suggested and the marketeers stopped their 'price manipulation' then prices would soar well beyond what they currently are. Only the ultra rich would be able to afford the high value items because only they would be able to cover the crazy transaction fees. So where some people see price gouging, i see price stabilization. The people that want to sell for 2-3x the current market cant because the marketeers keep the supply from dropping. And i should know, i tried to manipulate an item once. I bought all of an enhancement and relisted for a higher price. Mine didnt sell and the marketeers had the original amount of supply back up by the next day. I probably lost about 300 million. So i can say with confidence that the marketeers are providing a valuable service and not gouging anyone.
  19. A bit of jump speed may fit the theme but i feel the power already provides 100% of the intended value for a power pick. It has all of swift, close to 1/3 of hasten (20% recharge), and an extra 40% resistance to slow and recharge reduction all rolled in to an auto power. If super reflexes was an underperforming set then any buff would probably be fine, but as a powerful set, something should get reduced to make room for a jump speed buff.
  20. Maybe if mez resist got separated from mez protection could make control abilities feel more useful. Currently mez does nothing if its magnitude is less than the targets protection. Stacking mez effects against powerful targets is nearly pointless because their mez resistance reduces the duration even when the mez effect didnt break through the protection. Trying to stack a mez effect 2 or more times and having the duration be almost nothing when it finally sticks is mostly useless when you could be doing damage instead. If mez abilities lasted their full duration when the target didnt get mezzed and only suffered reduced duration when the effect actually lands could make it a bit easier to land a mez on a powerful target. Values would need adjustment and the game engine might not even be able to process combat this way. An alternate version could be lowering enemy mez protection across almost the entire endgame, making it easier to land that first mez. Landing a mez effect on a target would increase their mez protection and mez resistance to further effects. After getting mezzed a few times, their protection and resiatance would make them essentially immune to further mez until sufficient time has elapsed for the protection and resistance to expire. Either version might make controllers and doms feel more useful. In the end, its very difficult to make mez useful without making it overpowered. There are possibilities but i wouldnt think that the devs are planning to mess with mez after this many years of it being 'ok'.
  21. In an emergency, save the windows on an unaffected character and load them on the other.
  22. Autocorrect probably wouldnt have capitalized orange bagels, he did it on Pert Plus.
  23. Most Effective Tactics Available. Basically means the 'best' way.
  24. Its an old thing. Cel shading remains in experimental options so there probably isnt a fix coming any time soon.
  25. I guess give thugs jacobs ladder so they can be even worse?
