  1. Oh i was off on my numbers from the previous post. A confused enemy doing half the damage would net you 80% of the reward. Normally you get rewards for partial damage that follows the blue line but partial damage xp from confused enemies follows the pink line and is quite a bit higher. You still need to do some of the damage yourself though.
  2. You confused them but their damage isnt your damage. The game doesnt have a way to attribute confused enemy damage to a player, nor should it. You do get less xp reduction from confused enemy damage. Something like if the confused enemy does 50% and you do 50%, you get 70% of the xp instead of 50%. But if they do 100% you still get nothing.
  3. How could i have missed something so obvious !?
  4. I think stun was gimped to prevent it from being overpowered. It is a control but its found in damage powersets. If i could melee and reliably stun large amounts of mobs while simultaneously doing large amounts of damage...i guess dominator with scrapper damage. Scrapinator? Stun procs do suck though and ive previously told people that the procs are useless if the mob got stunned. Less accuracy from a stunned mob anyone? Your power doing what your power does wastes the proc. I would like to see some actual useful procs in the stun category but not have their base magnitude raised unless their stun chance was lowered. Melee characters shouldnt get that level of protection from their melee attacks, thats what armor and team members are for. A control set based around stuns though...that could be interesting, but for another time.
  5. It would be more consistent if the mobs summoned stuff despawned when they die but i wouldnt feel its more fair. Mobs suck bad enough already and i wouldnt want to debuff them just for the sake of consistency with player characters. Many of the mobs need their unfair advantages to make up for their lack of intelligence.
  6. We used to have alot of statistic tracking that was viewable from the city information terminals. Now its just a fragment of what used to be tracked but i think damage dealt is still on there. A player could easily look at the number before starting the TF and after finishing and ..... subtract. If there was a window that did this for you and you could zero it out then there would be a convenient personal damage tracker. So a determined player could put in the effort to get their own damage number but not that of other players. This shifts the question from should damage tracking be possible to should it be convenient. Im not for being able to access other players information but if we had easier access to our own, i wouldnt mind. It probably would mean that there will be the occasional person who cant help but share how awesome their damage is but its not much different than the guy that checks the combat log to copy/paste that they just hit knockout blow for 4k. Overall, it probably wouldnt be an often used feature but a window that stores a value and then subtracts that number from its current value and displays the result is far from the worst stuff ive seen pass through the suggestion forum. It does seem to be a very polarizing topic though and im not trying to convince anyone, just pointing out that it could be done with what already exists ingame.
  7. New sections of travel, incarnate system and teams/leagues would be good. Combat stats explained and combat formulas would be useful. Updating the old info would be nice. A few sections might get rolled together like rewards <> merit rewards and pvp <> arena. Ill have to poke through it again next time im on. I recall most of the information to be pretty bad if you are a new player and mostly useless if you are an experienced player.
  8. Castle the trainer was the avatar of Castle the developer from the retail servers. My understanding is that he made several unpopular decisions regarding pvp among other things. Placing him in the pvp zones to train was sweet justice. He also had no purpose as far as story and lore are concerned. He was just a bossman in the studio and placed his character in the game.
  9. I would prefer BaB as the contact for the Statesman task force like was originally intended over replacing Ms Liberty in atlas park. I dont mind that she is in both places though, 3 places during valentines event, 4 if you count the winter forest.
  10. You can change your characters stance at the tailor to get endurance free animation if you are just after having the look of those powers. As a transact 4 victory power, i doubt they will become slotable.
  11. I agree that individually, boxing and kick are stinkers, but the pool as a whole is quite strong. Taking a power that people consider a zero so they can get 2 powers that are 100s is the cost. If they were immediately available then their buff would probably be reduced by about 1/3. Even in this case it would be a buff boxing and kick situation, not a make tough and weave free situation. Other pool powers did get requirement adjustments but it wasnt due to them being poor design choices. Those requirements were put in place to make people log in more and level up more slowly so they would keep paying their monthly fees. Monthly subscriptions are gone now and several of the systems put in place to milk them have been relaxed or removed. Not everything can become free or instant though or there would be no sense to play the game. Characters gaining mastery over pool powers by first learning the easy stuff before getting the good stuff isnt likely to be changing.
  12. And the camera man in the final cutscene should be 3 feet taller.
  13. Most players take a travel power in their build. Using that as a requirement is almost the same as having no requirement for weave. I have 1 build on 1 character that doesnt have a travel power. Removing the requirements from any pool opens the door for people to ask for more pools to get the same treatment. Its called power creep because it happens slowly over time. Before you realize, everyone will get access to every power at lvl 1, there will be a purple enhancement for free in every slot and accolade powers will cost 500 inf at the transact 4 victory store. Its not as ridiculous as it sounds when you scroll back through the suggestion forum and it starts with just a little power creep being ok.
  14. Im always working on the secret badges that i made up. One of them is called 'Get your friends killed' The other one is 'Gift your friends Training Origin enhancements'
  15. If you get the wrong one, use dismiss contact on the detectives window, rezone and a new one will be randomly assigned. It may take several attempts to get the one you want.
  16. So its like the preset costumes but with extra steps? Im not interested in it taking even longer on character creation.
  17. better late than never, here is the promised screenshot of where all the cars in independence port went
  18. Make a tab with pet combat damage shown and see if its in there. I think lightning rod spawns a psuedo pet for the damage.
  19. Id be down for the construction crew to unearth an item of some importance that causes new enemy groups to descend upon the zone in a mad dash to discover what else lies beneath the rubble. Its alot of work though. I think the team would want a minimum of 2 story arc contacts and more likely to want at least 4. Writing mission text for 10 to 40ish missions is a big undertaking even if the plot is already decided upon. I knew what i wanted for my Lady Grey task force 2 in AE and it still took a few weeks between writing and testing for me to release a 4 mission task force. Part of it was due to changing things to work within the confines of AE that devs could work right through, but alot of it was just writing and editing the story board.
  20. Its a hard product to sell when a proposed change removes existing powers that players are using and have built around. Often its easier to make even more changes and propose an entirely new set instead of moderately revamping an existing one.
  21. They should change the names from simplified and advanced pet windows to 'the crap pet window' (simplified) and 'the good pet window' (advanced). Definitely use the advanced window and drag the tiny buttons into your power tray and use them from there. I put attack target, follow, stay, go to, aggressive, defensive, and passive all in my tray so i dont have to use the drop down menus in the pet window.
  22. One of the devs must be using chat gpt to write code and its slowly implementing skynet.
  23. The problem with hami-o's is that there is no problem. Good items being expensive isnt a problem and wanting a 90-99% discount as well as an unlimited supply isnt a fix. How would i solve the problem proposed in the original post? First, it isnt a problem. Second, take those 160 merits a day and choose 120 + a hami-o instead. And then use those 120 merits to make money on the AH while selling or hoarding the hami-o each day. Third, use the mountains of inf you will acquire to buy the stuff you want. ...All without having to screw over the players that use hami-o's as their income source, or the people that use converters to change crappy enhancements into good ones, or the people that buy those good enhancements. Since adding a new high demand for converters will drive up their price and marketeers will pass that cost on to the sale price across the board.
  24. The easiest thing would be to do [redacted]. If we [deleted] before we [erased], then we would be able to [blank][redacted]. However, that would result in [removed] and require extra time doing [deleted]. The perfect fix that everyone would 100% agree on is [deleted]. This is clearly the best way to proceed and im sure the devs have already implemented these ideas.
  25. I would agree with you but then i keep wondering where the AH is getting its stock of hami-o's from.
