  1. I came to say the same thing. Phantasm likes to get stuck while flying but it lands and is able to make it through most of the time. It could be worth testing if using group fly causes pets that normally path just fine to start getting stuck.
  2. I think it was along the lines of slotting a +damage hami-o in a resist power and getting a full 33% enhancement instead of the much lower value from a resist enhancement.
  3. I have a lvl 2 seismic blaster so i feel qualified to answer this question. Get the buff and then do the thing. The other thing will have the thing and the stuff will make more stuff. Make sure u have the stuff before the thing or the thing will be wimpy. Also, you make magical rocks appear out of thin air but it only works if you stand on the ground because the ground is made from rocks but you dont use those rocks for attacking. Finally, if you get the stuff and then do the slow thing and then the moderate speed thing and then the fast thing, you can have all the stuff do the thing at the same time.
  4. More specifically, my ranged scrapper is spines/stone armor. The extra DoT from brimstone is pretty good. He can almost alternate impale and throw spines for an attack rotation but having an extra filler attack eliminates any down time. I have a mastermind set up for tanking with provoke but he cant hold any agro if there are any melee characters on the team. I also have a water blast/invulnerability sentinel for tanking with the same problem as the mastermind.
  5. A healer blaster, a ranged only scrapper, a tanking sentinel, pool powers only.... do you ever make characters that dont adhere to what would be considered a traditional build? I ask because i realized i could get alot more damage out of my ranged only scrapper with one of the patron pools instead of darkness mastery. And i do mean ranged only - his only melee attacks are the lvl 1 required melee attack and boxing. I call him a scrapinel and it really is pretty much a sentinel with crits. I find it fun to play some characters outside of their intended primary role. Does anyone else ever make unusual builds that they find to be quite enjoyable?
  6. I hate face attack animations. Barfing poison, barfing ice, barfing fire, laser eyes - anything that comes from the face would benefit from alternate animations (to me). Knockout blow is almost perfect. That windup....and then the swing...and the fist connects with....air. If i could grant 100% accuracy to only 1 ability in the game, knockout blow would be it. Its still great the other 19 times out of 20 though. Kinetic melee animations are too long for the damage they do. They are nice and flashy but the target is often dead by the time i finish my wind up. KM being on the bottom of all the damage tests for all melee archtypes doesnt help the long animation times case either.
  7. Turns out someday was about 2 hours appreciate ya, @Number Six.
  8. My dark melee doesnt sound like a boss anymore. I has a sad. Ill remain hopeful for a menu option to be available someday.
  9. Incan buffs you with weakness to healing. Being weak to healing means heals hit you harder just the same as being weak to fire means fire would hit harder. Health regeneration isnt healing so incan doesnt improve it. However, heal procs from enhancements such as pancea or power transfer are improved for the duration of the weakness to healing buff. Its also possible to stack multiple buffs from incan for even greater healing effect (or at least it was, i havent tried in awhile). There are potential uses for a coordinated league to stack incan but the benefit is likely not worth the hassle.
  10. I think brutes could use something to carve out their place. Right now they arent quite as durable as a tanker and dont do quite as much damage as a scrapper. Being middle of the road might be fine but it would be nice for the middle of the road to have something. I have an idea or 2 but ill have to make a new thread for it sometime so they can get shot down separately.
  11. I think a reload mechanic could have a place in the game but its too far of a departure from the original set to be a revamp. It would need to be an entirely new set.
  12. You need to liquidate some assets. You have too much tied up in investments. You have approximately 550 boosters on the AH and a similar amount in storage according to your post, but spending 100k influence is problematic. Right now you are investment poor with a billion in assets but hardly 2 inf to rub together. Start by selling some overstock for a 'loss' (less than 1 million), to regain some spending money. Then diversify into converters, catalysts and unslotters as well. I have to assume the boosters are purchased with merits and not from super packs or you would have all manner of goods to sell and not just 1 thing. Overall i have seen a trend of rising prices but the day to day can fluctuate up and down. Selling a variety of goods can help ensure a steady stream of sales as 1 item price may dip below your asking but the others would still be selling at your desired price. Personally, i dont enjoy spending time on the AH. I do a single task force on a level 50 character and i will be rolling in inf. It doesnt even have to be high level content, just exemp down to low level content that you enjoy more on a lvl 50 and still earn tons of influence.
  13. Items fluctuate. If you want to sell higher, craft set enhancements. Many common ones for my builds were 2 million when i first joined homecoming and they are 4 million now. Quite the opposite of a price collapse.
  14. ok. ive tracked it down to the presence of 'old V_MAPS' inside the texture library folder. i renamed it to 'older V_MAPS' 'backup V_MAPS backup' and 'goober'. that folder renamed to anything didnt make a difference as long as it was in the texture library folder. ive obviously removed it now and thats why renaming the texture library folder fixed the problem earlier. im pretty sure there was 1 other map that was affected but it wasnt covering any actual needed map graphic. but seeing as it was essentially my running 2 map mods at once through the new and old version that caused the problem, i would chalk it up to user error. maybe just emphasize that the old folders cant be renamed and must be removed since its already in the instructions to remove them. i usually rename folders to 'old' or 'backup' incase i need to revert and since it seemingly didnt mess up the maps i figured it was fine. edit: World texture quality is set to very high if that still matters
  15. i guess if anyone else runs into this problem with junk on their mercy island map (and possibly others, most are unaffected). I had previously renamed vidiotmaps folders to old maps, old p_maps and old v_maps but i left the GUI folder alone. so i went and renamed the entire data > texture library to old texture library to see if it would fix the problem and it did. it was just 2 files for badge textures in the gui folder and i dont know what they were for anyway but they were messing with the map and removing them fixed it.
  16. I missed the memo, but on our previous saturday night synapse league, about half the league had bird themed characters. Sorry no picture but heres a sample of names. Wyatt Chirp Bok Rogers Duck Holiday
  17. I need a mini combat HVAS or no deal.
  18. My understanding was the login server doesnt know whats going on in the game server by design. When you are on the character select screen, there is essentially no load placed on the game server. Choosing a character loads that singular characters information only as they are loading into the city. If the game server had to load the ingame info for every character on someones character select screen, the hit on server performance would be massive. If 3 or 4 people are attempting to login and they each have 50 or 100 or 200 alts, the server would have to load more character data than most of the servers online population combined in just a few seconds. This isnt to say that its impossible. The team has made previously thought impossible additions to the game. But what would be a small quality of life improvement for some players would likely be a major project for the team. You can certainly remain hopeful but i would anticipate using those 3rd party trackers for quite some time.
  19. I think the one in the tutorial is bigger but that doesnt mean they arent meant to be the same one. But with how the team added hardmode ITF practically seamless, i would hold out hope that the tutorial shivan gets repurposed into a full fledged battle at some point.
  20. The total duration reduction displayed at the top is the calculated total. If each source had its diminishing return calculated separately, which ones would have priority over others to show their higher contribution? The bonuses arent straight subtracted from the duration to prevent someone from becoming 100% immune to mez effects. Many players are almost immune because of mez protection, but everyone would become immune to mez if resistance didnt get diminishing returns and only 100% reduction were needed.
  21. Ive solo'd Goliath War Walker. It was just slow with my character because GWW kept using a heal, but it wasnt difficult otherwise.
  22. I am ok with more GMs just for the sake of more GMs but i do prefer they have a purpose over just another HP sack that contains merits. I would like to see the minions of igneous get something in the hollows. Maybe a 1 in 5 chance of triggering a zone event on completion of the caverns of transcendence trial and Koago's larger angrier cousin invades. Of course im just spitballing here, i havent checked against the story. Just that my point is there is room for more GMs that can be interesting without just dumping them in hazard zones.
