He isnt even in the retired developers group, he is in the normal members group. So its an error if he left or shenanigans if he didnt.

Oh, it still wont be good at 50. Just that if it got buffed then it might become way too good. It probably needs something like 2 seconds duration that ignores level differences and is unresistable so it doesnt stick a confuse and have it immediately drop without even mitigating a single attack. But that is still a buff and would need testing to see if its overpowered. And would still need to convince the devs.

Even world of confusion in the blaster secondary is just as effective as the ancillary one. World of confusion is available to blasters at lvl 4 so when people get it as an ancillary power in their late 30's or 40's, they are expecting better performance than what a lvl 4 power would provide. I have noticed world of confusion often doesnt last 1.5 seconds, even on blue minions. They get the purple bubbles, turn to face another enemy, confuse wears off and they attack me with their next attack. It doesnt even mitigate a single attack in many cases when the confuse actually hits. Thats where we run into a problem though. A dominator or controller can stack quite a bit of chances for confuse into that power and increasing the duration or confuse chance would give them a decent chance of having confuse stick on an elite boss. Ive posted the numbers once before in another world of confusion topic so here it is again for reference: on dominators and controllers with the full coercive persuasion set and cognitive core interface - mag 1 (2.1 sec), mag 2 (3.1 sec), mag 2 (4.3 sec), mag 3 (25 sec) best case scenario for all to hit the same target, sure its rare but this is from a single power a chance for 2.1 seconds of 8 mag confuse, this will confuse bosses and possibly elite bosses (sorry i dont have EB resists readily available) chance for 7 mag confuse for 3.1 seconds, will also confuse bosses chance of 5 mag confuse for 4.3 seconds, will confuse lieutenants chance of 3 mag confuse for 25 seconds, will confuse lieutenants

Anxiety and horror, sounds like they nailed it for your Halloween.

Leechers are gonna leech. If the team leads and league leaders wont boot them, then there is nothing to be done. Its impractical to add something to the game to boot players from a team when the solution has been part of the game since day 1.

Add a New Co-Op LFG Instance for Trick-or-Treating
TheZag replied to Astralock's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Spooky atlas park, its already made and decorated. It just lacks functionality. -
I said my piece earlier so i just want to add that i wouldnt mind seeing more representation from powersets that lean towards an origin. Almost all of my characters take sorcery for mystic flight and they are from all origins. Any powerset no matter how heavily it leans into a single origin can have a reason that every other origin was able to use it.

I don't like the Elite Bosses added to trick-or-treating
TheZag replied to MrSnottyPants's topic in General Discussion
Its been a strange read. For anyone wanting to get the short version.... OP says the elite bosses in trick or treat are too hard while solo. Team member replies that code limitations prevented it this time but should be fixed for next time. And then almost everyone ignored that and started complaining about hard mode. Here we have some footage of a player engaging an elite boss. -
After you upgrade your robots you can click the arrow on the right side of the pet window to show their buffs. Right click their upgrade buffs to see the info and it says what abilities were granted by the upgrade. If you want your pets to stay out of melee range you probably need to use go to or stay commands. Im pretty sure their melee ability is part of the base model. And i think the fire patches are left behind after the missile attack. The flamethrower attack has less range so the assault bot moves closer to use it and then he says 'oh hey, im pretty close. Let me just go ahead and use this here melee attack'. So its indirectly caused by the flamethrower.

There is a work around if there are 5 teams or less, you can move a lvl 50 to an empty team and they will have the star. Moving the lowbies would then have them under that lvl 50. It is just a work around though and not a fix. Its also not usable when the league already has more than 40 players. But i have also seen team 7 a few times in my league window. I was told its part of a league bug. If team 7 could be fixed but the league member cap stayed at 48 then there would always be enough room to use the work around. Of course spending time to fix team 7 could just as easily be spent to make an actual fix and not just to improve the work around.

Plenty of powersets lean heavily toward a single origin and players of all origins are able to use them. Many of those players even make up reasons why their origin can use those abilities (magically 'poofing' in a weapon or gadget, for example). I dont see why a blast set that is intended to lean towards magic origin is an issue. Maybe you have technology bracelets that make mystic circles before shooting at bad guys. Or you fell into a scientific vat of radioactive magic, or you were mutated by a bite from a magical spider. It really doesnt matter, new powers and new animations let us make more character ideas that are closer to how we envisioned them.

I once started a thread asking peoples thoughts about the damage cap and if build up should exceed the damage cap for its duration so it isnt mostly wasted on a team with many damage buffs. It quickly turned into i wanted more power creep and needed to learn how to play. It was funny to me because i dont even take build up in the first place since i consider its duration too short. But i was still grateful to hide my post and have the rest of the thread go with it. I dont think the GMs are in the habit of deleting/hiding entire threads unless they are waaay out there. Even some really heated stuff only gets locked with the very worst of individual posts being hidden. When an entire thread disappears, its usually the OP put their post on hide and it takes the rest of the thread with it.

Ya, the majority of other weapons that dont have a sheathed mode are on the list, just everything cant happen at once. I also think shields were intended to be included but probably guns will be ahead of shields.

Focused Feedback: Battle Axe Revamp
TheZag replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
This is probably my last chance to advocate for changing the names of the powers around since it makes no sense for the strongest sounding power name (beheader) to be the weakest attack. All of the actual abilities would remain in the same order, just the names would get shifted around so the 'stronger' names are on the higher tier abilities while attempting to keep in line with the names matching the function of the powers. Current order in parenthesis. 1. Chop (Beheader) 2. Gash (Chop) 3. Swoop (Gash) 4. Build Up 5. Cleave (Pendulum) 6. Taunt/Confront 7. Pendulum (Swoop) 8. Axe Cyclone 9. Beheader (Cleave) Changing power names around would probably ruffle some feathers too but Chop sounds the weakest to me followed by Gash and then Swoop. The current Pendulum does AoE but i think of swinging back and forth of an actual pendulum like the knockup and then fall down that current Swoop does. Cleave fills in the name for the AoE gap that was left from moving pendulum. Axe Cyclone is obviously fine and then Beheader has its name rightfully moved to the t9 where it belongs. -
Don't nerf Force bomb damage with Force Field changes
TheZag replied to Fusaokek's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
So this is the feedback without having tested the changes area..... I recommend testing the changes and then using the beta feedback thread to say the damage shouldnt be reduced. Feedback based on testing is much more likely to be considered then feedback based on reading patch notes. -

Hopefully the repair drone will persist when zoning and accept pet enhancements in an upcoming build. -
Changes to Regen to bring it into modern day.
TheZag replied to ArchmageMC's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I tried a fix regen topic a while back, i went a different route that included the click abilities becoming usable during other ability animation times after using a few regen click powers. My guess is that regen isnt very high on the fix it list since willpower is considered the fixed regen set. I wouldnt mind it getting a rebalance though because alot of people see regen and think they will have wolverine level regeneration but end up disappointed. Ive been told that regen is a beast in pvp though, so its hard to buff a set that lags in pve without making it godmode in pvp. -
Streakbreaker is part of the game and forces a hit after a certain amount of misses based on your chance to hit that target. You said you missed 4 times in a row, if streakbreaker forced a hit on the 5th attack it means you had somewhere between 40 and 60% chance to hit. That averages to a 1 in 16 chance to get 4 misses in a row. Not exactly a never to occur probability there, i wouldnt be suprised if that happened every mission. And if streakbreaker wasnt forcing the 5th hit then your accuracy would be even lower. You probably need to monitor your combat logs to ensure the human element of only noticing misses isnt at work here. Also only using AoE could miss the same target several times in a row since each target in the radius is calculated individually against streakbreaker. The extra enemies could use the streakbreaker hit and leave the chance for a miss available on your primary target again.

He did leave music for a career in remodeling. Was it all a cover so he could have plenty of tools around to build more automations?

And in case my sarcasm wasnt clear, any improvements to the ingame email would be welcome.

My guess is they havent got around to it and not that it will never happen. Several powersets have been ported around but energy aura hasnt made it to the top of 'the list' yet. Perhaps this topic might give it a boost in the process. And give any armor to a tanker and they will turn it into [The I Win Button]. Doesnt make much difference for it to be with energy aura or every single other armor in the game....except regen, tanks dont want that dumpster fire.

Faultline would sink into the earth. Also, hellions will take over PI, lvl 31 will be removed from every enemy group, mercenaries would be overpowered and regen would get nerfed. So we have to ask ourselves, is a claim all button worth all this?

I start with the powers and then take my name and add +1 to the number behind it for the new character name.
