  1. Sounds like an issue with Mozilla Firefox. I'd recommend trying Brave Browser instead, at least until the bug is fixed.
  2. The ToT mobs are definitely not the only type that completely ignores Mastermind henchmen in favor of the Mastermind his or herself. Praetorian ambushes work the same exact way. It was loudly complained about during the Issue 18 beta but summarily ignored. But yeah, it's quite annoying and deadly for the Mastermind, especially when solo.
  3. I have no idea how feasible this is. I'm guessing "not." But, here goes: Much like a LFG instance was created for Rikti mothership raids, create a new co-op LFG instance of a zone area (Kallisti Wharf, Peregrine Island, Grandville, whatever... actually, now that I think about it, make it one of the Praetorian zones so as to not completely break immersion), and let all heroes, villains, and Praetorians from level 1 through 50 trick-or-treat together. Much like the instanced Rikti mothership raid, automatically bump everyone that joins below level 50 to level 50. This would solve a few issues: Heroes, villains, and Praetorians would be able to trick-or-treat together with no issues. Let's face it, getting a red side or gold side trick-or-treat team (let alone league), together isn't easy. It's not impossible, but it's like pulling teeth sometimes. No worrying about making sure every team has a level 50 leader as everyone would be lackeyed to level 50. Since it would be an instance, there should be less lag for everyone. Now I imagine that Halloween zone events like the zombie invasion, Banners, and GMs would not be feasible, but that's fine. Even without those, this would still be a win.
  4. FWIW, a team of one Tanker or Brute and seven Masterminds would actually demolish the Vanguard heroes. The fight couldn't be better designed for Masterminds, really.
  5. Which one are you referring to? The original or newer one? The original one is horrible with all of its defeat alls. The newer one, I average about 45 minutes to solo at -1x3, no AVs, which seems about right to me.
  6. But it is an issue for some people. I personally know dozens of friends and acquaintances that have left the game over the past three years (and most of them within the first year and a half), because after about three hours of PLing, three hours of getting accolades, and maybe a couple of hours for Incarnate abilities from Transcendent merits... congratulations, you've won. There's literally nothing else left to accomplish in the game, nothing else to work for, except perhaps badging. I've nearly left Homecoming myself twice because of that, but a couple of people forbade my leaving. SCoRE and Homecoming made some great quality of life changes for the game, but in the process they also removed all of the stickiness, all of the reasons for playing for a lot of people. Advanced Difficulty TFs, aethers, and this new system are an attempt to correct that.
  7. If he's doing that much damage after eating an Ambrosia inspiration in a non-Master run, then that's a bug.
  8. That's a mistake in the patch notes, unfortunately. When Page 2 was in closed testing, Ambrosia and Essence of the Earth inspirations did originally work on both pets and henchmen, but, IIRC, because of the way City of Heroes is coded, repeatedly checking every person on the map (especially on a Hamidon raid), just kept hammering the server too hard so it was rolled back to just Mastermind henchmen only. The patch notes must never have been adjusted.
  9. In Page 3, a Master of badge was added for the Eden Trial. The requirements are: No deaths, and no Incarnate abilities. In addition to that, the effectiveness of the Ambrosia inspiration was lowered to something like 65%, (I forget the exact percentage and I don't feel like looking it up). As a result, the Crystal Titan is far more deadly. The effectiveness of the Ambrosia inspiration was lowered so a Master of Eden Trial wouldn't be a cakewalk, but IMO it was lowered too much. @Ukase , the Crystal Titan does unique damage which will always hurt and destroy Phantom Army. This also includes Hamidon and Dark Watcher in the ASF's Vanguard heroes fight. (It's always amusing to see Phantom Army versus his Phantom Army, but I digress.) Also, Ambrosia and Essence of the Earth inspirations only work on Mastermind henchmen, not regular pets. Controllers and Dominators are still useful without their pets... Masterminds without their henchmen, not so much.
  10. That's a solved issue on instanced mothership raids. Everyone that joins below level 50 is automatically lackeyed up to level 50. Note, not level 49. 50. If someone level 35 joins, he or she is automatically lackeyed up to level 50, and can be made a team leader without issue. Unfortunately, this can only be done because it's an instance, not a zone.
  11. Then they have a mistaken impression. The Rebirth server would be better suited for their needs as they try to keep their game as close to City of Heroes live as possible, but even they have made some pretty substantial changes, including a new AT and additional enhancement slots. Homecoming never claimed to be an Issue 24 beta museum, as much as some people wish otherwise. The Homecoming staff want to take the game into their own direction. Homecoming is Homecoming, not City of Heroes Issue 24. As for the player count, this graph courtesy of macksull shows that the player base has remained relatively stable over the past six months or so. There's some peaks with the Independence Day weekend and the Page 4 release, but over all it's the same as it ever was.
  12. All good. I knew exactly what you were trying to quote, thus the laugh reaction. Galaxy Quest is one of the best films ever, IMO.
  13. Two new RP areas were added in Page 4. The Local channel range change was added after RPers asked for it. There’s SG base PvP coming, in addition to a host of PvP changes and additions over the past couple of years. Aethers can be bought and sold via the Black Market for those who don’t want to do Incarnate trials nor hard modes. People are free to believe otherwise, but really that’s on them.
  14. Back on live during Really Hard Way Magisterium trial runs, there were so, so many Beam Rifle/Cold Corruptors, Beam Rifle/Dark Miasma Corruptors, Beam Rifle/Kinetics Corruptors, Beam Rifle/Radiation Emission Corruptors, Beam Rifle/Time Manipulation Corruptors. It felt like we were playing Ghostbusters more than City of Heroes. Really, just pick one.
  15. The problem with that is not everything worked on makes the cut for open beta. There is something in Page 5 that was originally tested for Page 1, two years ago. People would have been disappointed and possibly upset to be told that developers were working on it, only for it to be rolled back and not see the light of day for two years. Other things that were tested were scrapped altogether.
  16. Here's a question for you. I know the answer, and I suspect you do as well if you're honest with yourself. Is it really a coincidence that the two most popular power sets used for AE farming just so happen to be the ones with AoE damage powers that were brokenly overpowered? Or are they the most popular power sets used for AE farming because they both happen to have brokenly overpowered AoE damage powers?
  17. Do a Weekly Strike Target, Incarnate trials, and the Advanced Difficulty Dr. Aeon Strike Force and Advanced Difficulty Imperious Task Force. The Advanced Difficulty ASF and ITF are the best sources by far. See the Page 4 release notes for details. -
  18. Good luck with that.
  19. Or, you know, just move the ToT league to Kallisti Wharf which is a co-op zone with two buildings close to each other with about 26 doors each IIRC. Far better for ToTing than PI.
  20. DC Comics will add a new tier to their DC Universe Infinite digital comic book subscription service next week, called Ultra. For an extra $40 per year, you'll get all published comic books one month after print instead of six months, an additional 5,000 comic books in the library, and one print comic book. You can read more about it here.
  21. I mained Force Field since Issue 3 back on live, all the way until sunset. 21 issues. Six bubblers back on live, three on Homecoming. The only times I ever used Force Bubble were for the blue side respec trial, to clear the Rikti from the bowl of the mothership just prior to the league arriving, and for trolling friends. As far as I can recall from three years of playing on Homecoming mostly non-stop, I have only ever seen others use Force Bubble twice, and both times they were asked to turn it off by others. Hardly pivotal nor iconic.
  22. You do for switching characters.
  23. Would it be possible to lower the logoff countdown in The Crucible (and I'm assuming Fort Trident, but I don't know for sure), down to five seconds? Zero would be nice, but I'm fine with five. I like to park my characters there.
  24. I wish. 😛
