  1. If someone likes cheesecake, do they need to explain why? Is it somehow wrong? Nope. That's the great thing about taste, it needs no justification. And, does it matter how many? More than one, based on the comments thus far. If we're going based on votes, ask for an official poll and let majority decide.
  2. Plenty of people like them, so yes, that's proof it would be worse to them. How do you know it would automatically be better? You may think it's a good idea, many of us don't. So, it would be worse in that respect.
  3. Taunt I believe is not -100 meaning close to 0 feet. There's some posts from a Dev that they move to -75 and stop there. Can't recall if it was due to resist or something. It's in one of the threads where tanks were being discussed, vis a vi changes.
  4. I'm all for more costume options!
  5. Any at combo is fun. Just be aware that DP is low damage compared to other sent sets, as well as DP on blasters. I love SR, just be ready for it to bloom late, post lvl 36. All in all, if you're having fun, then enjoy! Invite a teammate that is fun, don't worry about best. At 0/1, any AT is good
  6. When creating a valid data set, randomization in multiple variables across unstratified fields renders any data invalid, as the R-square value, p score, z score, median etc will be meaningless. If you're attempting to do a comparison analysis, you must have a basis of reference. Standardization is one such measure, among others. Don't cherry pick one example from a Sentence to attempt to refute it. Sorry, but the maelstrom of variables, possible permutations, bias and the lack of common framework renders the data largely unusable from an analytical standpoint.
  7. Fortunately for all of us, that's not how statistics works. Valid data sets are na integral part of analysis. With the data present no aNova analysis could be performed with ANY reasonable rSquare value. Further, when doing comparison analysis, there must be a basis for statistical inference. I understand your feelings about how things work, but that is not statistical fact. Glib comments aside, your comments have little to do with the fact that there's no valid information gleaned from a corrupt data set.
  8. I'm sorry, but including procs, epics and attack rotations that are irrespective of standardized builds or enhances renders all the data invalid. If you want to compare these sets you would have to remove variables that skew data so badly that it is uncorrectable Randomness alone corrupts the data, not to mention outside factors, bias and preference. Sorry, but this is beyond "take with a grain of salt" and should carry a disclaimer that "dataset used for reference is invalid"
  9. Same, I don't understand how people want to make things worse.
  10. Big picture is tough for most people. Long term strategy is not how most minds work. I spend my entire day forming, crafting, analyzing and moulding long term strategy that affects the course of hundreds of millions of dollars. Heed the wisdom or not, no long term net good will come from instant gratification culture changes. There's a reason why every society, group, entity, structure, game or body collapses in the long term when it gives in to the short-cut culture. There's a reason I harp on things like insta base constantly. It's the same reason I slam AE, DFB and "omgzorz faster." I couldn't care less about farming in PI, or MSR or ITF, there's a place for mid to late game excelerated play. Heck, AE has its place as well, just not in lvl 1-15 zones. Shoot, DFB would even be fine if it stopped at lvl 10. HOWEVER, the moment we changed the culture to include AE from atlas, DFB constantly, DiB hot on its tails, exploitbasecode, ITF zerging... was the moment we engineered a culture change. Look very carefully, because encouraging this kind of afk-insta-the-end gameplay is the point most common players will lose interest. Every activity goes through changes, but those that remain will be engaging and have longevity. Every "don't tell me how to play" argument selfishly ignores the greatest common good, that having a growing, thriving community is the only actual path to an evolving, improving, EXISTING GAME. Statistics are there, every game or activity that changes it's design or culture to one of easy instant gratification rapidly loses any longevity. How inconveniently terrible, REALLY, is it to have to jump, run or fly to the tram or base portal on the map? Leveling up to 15 WITHOUT DFB is really so terrible? Not having AE in Atlas would be so horrible? The benefits of these things not being there for new players FAR outweighs the first-world-problems that most espouse. The cusp is upon us, end the basecode exploit, stop the rush towards the exits, because every step we take down this path is exponential; eventually, we cannot return.
  11. A function that allows any player, at any time to bypass most zone travel is decidedly broken. This isn't a question of change, meta or evolution, it's one of design. This game is an MMO with a living world and was meant to be lived in, traveled and experienced. Instanced missions are part of that, but removing nearly all of the travel and world experience is a complete design overhaul. I have no desire to play an instanced only game, and this is changing the culture to where everyone does it, everyone expects it and if you don't do it, EVERY team is beginning to start without players who DON'T use it. Shut it off, now.
  12. The basepasscode exploit should be shut off immediately. It's decidedly turning CoH into an instanced only arena type of game. It's warping gameplay, mindsets and the very culture of the game.
  13. Because it's not a good idea.
  14. Sorry, I cannot support this. No vote.
  15. I figured out how to fix the pvp problem. Right when it was launched I never went in there. FIX'D. At least, for me. 😋 Also, I heard if you nerf Regen it fixes PvP for kittens.
  16. One does not need to look further than water, fire, ice, BR, arch to realize the truth that DP is lesser, even with the right ammo selected. Of course, one does not need to inspect actual data when theory crafting a reply that insinuates someone is lacking understanding.
  17. Your thread LURED me. DAM it! ForTUNAtely, it's the weekend and I'm ready to TACKle a a bottle of beer. That is, unless I'm still on the HOOK for a few more tasks...
  18. Saw this just yesterday in PI at castle, a scrap with an invisible katana.
  19. Aggro cap change: hard no vote. No need to regurgitate the reasons why, for the eleventy-fourth time, as the sound logic has been posted on this thread by myself and others, as well as in other threads.
  20. Ooooo dooo EEEET! Superb idea!
  21. Yes vote. Bring them back.
  22. Poor Mr. Ed
  23. It's... ...meh
  24. I run liquid cooling (weird?) On my cpu and have a thermal monitoring app that shows temp for both cpu and Nvidia GeForce gtx card at 39c constant. Very quiet as well. So, no issues here.
  25. We need the run animation NPCs get when invasions start. Panicked run!
