  1. Not really any love for it outside of thematics; as a whole, youre only getting around 65% resistance on a pure-resistance pet set. That being said, I did throw together some hodgepodge for some ideas for you; you yourself should end up pretty good here, as youll have perma World of Pain (and youre nearly capped anyways on S/L) with decent (35%) melee defense. You'll also have a full attack chain full of procs, so you don't have to rely on the pets alone to do damage. I wasnt sure what you actually wanted out of Sorcery, so I just did whatever there, but youll also have RoP for oh-sh moments. I wouldnt leave home without Ageless though. It takes a special mindset to play fire pp though (not that I disagree with fire for zombies, as thats what my favorite necro build is)
  2. I knew that at one point, just had it mixed up and made it make sense to not overlap. Lol xD thx
  3. I always just guessed that it was a Single Target attack and a Targeted AoE that affects everything around the target, but not the target itself disallowing procs from the aoe to stack with the single target. But that's literally just what I would guess.
  4. Were you around with kinetics at launch? They used to LAUGH 'em off teams - until you Transfusion'd a grey XD
  5. Poison Trap I'll give you. Idk if Im running PP even procced out.
  6. Thanks for your contribution. Do you just spam breakfrees and keep them at 100% up time? Cuz my issue is really just VG dropping from being held. And by issue I mean annoyance.
  7. 1. I mentioned Clarion 1.5 I missed Melee; that's acceptable 2. Im not ever going psychic 3. Im not ever going Sorcery 4. I dont press fkeys 5. Valid 6. Valid 7. With what 8. Who waits for teammates 9. Etc As a side note, I love poison. I have 4 poisons fully IO'd/Incarnated (Water/Poison, Poison/Sonic, Necro/Poison, Demon/Poison) - so it's not that I don't like the set 🙂
  8. Just give me some mez protection built into VG and I'll be set, thanks. Grr clarion.
  9. I actually like Water's comboing and how it changes what you want to push when -- i dislike the lock outs (both the water jet and the gaining) since it isnt intuitive nor "easy" to discern quickly in a fight. If they had like Red Circles when they weren't Contributing to any combo thatd be cool so you can more easily anticipate it, though you eventually do get a feel for it when you play long enough. But I think water does a good job with having you balance the extra effects, because they have boom and are not as "fire and forget" as some of the other powers (do you want your higher damage aoe, single target pew pew, etc) I don't mind any of the random proc things (like Rad) that you basically just ignore and it's a bonus to the set that doesn't require thought. I dislike things like DBs where you have to go out of your way to do something for the bonus rather than letting you choose what's right for the moment (like Water)
  10. I too have issues with Mids as of late - not showing things like Protector Bot buffs or the resistance boosts from Incarnates (but it does show Agility def boosts)
  11. Well all the ATs with these play extremely similarly except stalker which is probably better off playing as similarly as it can. that being said, I’ve become a fan of scrappers 🙂 Crit crit crit crit even if stalker does it 😞
  12. Maybe they could add an inherent to Dwarf/Nova that is basically +Recovery(Current End Drain/s(-1) - [End Drain/s of Form] lol
  13. Do you play on fighting +4? Your accuracy for +4 is actually much worse than it might first look -- because mids likes to take the Build up from Soulbound and give it to you, or are you planning on missing until sleet comes down? Unless my Mid's is wrong, it's showing me 86% accuracy when soulbound is removed... My route would be more like this, giving 75% S/l/E and Soft cap melee with 21-37% other defenses. Note that although I took lash and Thunderstrike, they don't have to be used - they're just mules for set bonuses, really. I feel the pets will be "tanky enough" This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.1.2.5 https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! 14. I don’t really care about toggles, but I’d like a “form carryover”— so you’d get Resistances carried over for a short time into your next form from Dwarf, Damage carry over bonus from Nova, and endurance carry over from human or something. this way you don’t instantly regret shifting out of dwarf into a hold, etc
  15. Once you go water/nature you realize the weakness of everything else. :3
  16. You have a defense secondary with a resist primary- and I would load up hell on earth with the aura bonuses. I’ll be honest I really couldn’t play a do nothing MM, so I can’t help much. I like loading up on attacks 🙂
  17. Hi, Quick question Assuming I do not care about the EXP for the farmer itself, would an alt character level faster if they were the only other character in the farm, or would that singular character gain more overall experience if there are more players in the group? Example: If Farmer+Alt = 1 hour to level Alt Would Farmer+Alt+Additional characters = <1 hour to level Alt. assuming the farmer is still doing all of the work (so no hitters) Also is there any reason to turn off exp anymore
  18. there are better sets than sonic for sure, but I will say it’s been one of my favorite sets since the day it was released. Prob just the bubble graphics 🙂 even when it gave migraines and seizures lol I wouldn’t do anything except cardiac for alpha. You can run without ageless in a group, as you almost always have speed boost, but I’d play around and see how that goes end wise first. I’ve found that in groups end is pretty much a nonfactor with cardiac (or vigor). Pick your favorite judgment (ionic is popular and so is pyronic) Then start going for assault hybrid and whatever else for the rest. i reallly play defenders and corrupters like blasters these days, so I lean more forwards s go/go/go mindset. Aside from sleep, you’ll likely be able to go unscathed simply because of your status protection from dispersion. Follow your anchor around for disruption and blast blast blast. The great thing about sonic (and ff) is that you get to do most of your work passively and spend time just killing and chasing big spawns 🙂 I don’t do builds for leveling or exemplar so please don’t think the power ordering is optimal. random side note: I also tend to never solo, so having soft cap on paper means little since maneuvers are thrown at you like water in a rainstorm. Ie if it were my build I’d drop the slotting in power sink, lose my soft cap, and use it for more procs. Damage damage damage ! But that’s a preference since I have more fun killing quickly than dying slowly
  19. liquefy sucks, at basically everything. Definitely better places to stick those slots. You could go for SC M/R/E/N, but I think I'd do more procy-proc and settle for 75% S/L/E + 45% ranged. Switching to dark will get you more aoe/soul drain/sc melee I am assuming you want hover, though personally I stick with Combat jumping. note i cant see cardiac adjustments outside of end reduction. 20. I’ll be honest (in my opinion based in the general way the game is played, not saying it’s the only way): outside of the niche uses above, what’s appealing about ff is that you’re running with some base defense + status protection, allowing you slotting flexibility. It’s also light in power picks while still giving you the strength of the set. Take the Ally bubbles, dispersion, repulsion bomb you can take force bubble for fun if you want, it does have some random uses that warrant it as a pick for me (as in a pick for the lulz lol). . Throw your bubbles, become a blaster for the most part, rethrow bubbles. Etc. your bubbles do their job defending, and controllers throw around random pbaoe heals to clean up health bars. Yes, lots of people build for 45% defense, but not everyone has def debuff resistance and not everyone builds for everything outside of S/L or Ranged/Melee. Like I said, one of the best parts of FF is that you do your job without having to cast silly things instead of damage and you have some mez protection. No need to go medicine, which I have taken on ff for low levels back when people expected the defender to be a healer (which is not common, can’t even remember the last empathy char I’ve seen, “healer” or otherwise lol)
  21. I will never EVER understand how sonic doesn’t have sleep protection. It’s like the most obvious thing (can’t fall asleep due to noise). Ugh. I’d probably even expand sonic to include psi and say it like deafens psionic frequencies
  22. Right you can’t get away with it on a lot of power sets. it’s just annoying to hit some mobs for 500 and some mobs for 30 lol 😂
  23. What do you want from it? Do you want to be tanky? Focus on damage? Do you want to play like a blaster? Or just general build solidity?
  24. I've started to forego some defense just to proc stuff out. This is like Soft capped Melee/Ranged with FF but still using Resist armor; I don't see a reason for the most part to go for capping those non positionals and they are close so its doable if you want I personally cannot stand a Cor without Cardiac, as endurance is a fun killer. It has the benefit of the range increase which is pretty fun with Full Auto. I also assume at least +1 cytoskeleton. Im not a fan of caltrops as a whole, but procs can be moved to it based on preference This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.1.2.5 https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build!
