  1. "Balance as a whole" isn't realistic with the size of the team in existence. That was my early point that this isn't a real mmo. Not real as in having no paid staff that's keeping it running with timely updates. People making these weekly repeated sweeping suggestions need to keep their expectations low. They can make them, but they need to realize they won't occur. Glad you're at least realistic. 😀 EDIT: I won't touch the better comment. We're all entitled to our opinions.
  2. And has been pointed out multiple times in the thread is not needed to get what you want. Many folks have given many alternate, better suggestions.
  3. Seems to be back. I was able to click on the Enhancements page link and go directly there. (The link posted earlier in this thread). EDIT: Also THANKS TO THE COMMUNITY for the MASSIVE effort to get up a HC specific site! Kudos! 😄
  4. Yep. Too many folks are fine with the casual nature of the main game. Also, SOs. Until it's decided that you're doing away with SO-based balance once and for all . . . yeah it's going to have to be optional difficulty settings that are new that folks will actively need to choose.
  5. And thus why all these ides for "making the game harder" should be in an OPTIONAL difficulty setting that teams can CHOOSE to run. IF it's a choice, then it gives more leeway to the craziness you can add to these new difficulty settings while not damaging the game for the rest of the 80-90% of the current players who are fine with where we are on +4/x8 and below. EDIT: Ofcourse that still leaves the question of what are the incentives for running on this new diffculty?
  6. I wonder if there are any hard mode COH servers out there. Most of them seem to focusing on tweaking COH is some wild ways, with non I have seen so far focused on tweaking the difficulty (either up or down).
  7. I'd also be fine with this. LOL
  8. I'd be fine with this.
  9. A more targetted approach IS needed here. Broad sweeping changes NEVER end well in terms of feedback from this community. Check the beta forums for a recent example, that the devs had to immediately roll back after getting feedback. And that was just for one set. This is talking about multiple sets, multiple powers.
  10. Good point, but I've never really noticed even in those types of situations; with the two in health and two stamina I'm good. Better to save the slots elsewhere where Tri-forms desperately need it. The good thing is tri forms can be built in multiple ways. So my respect to your build options, and agree to disagree and move on. 🙂
  11. Ehhh on peacebringers maybe. But Stygian Circle pretty much means I don't have to worry about end. So can afford to lose a slot each to go somewhere else. And on a triform thost extra slots are like gold.
  12. I'd argue a warshade is most powerful when they are constantly switching forms. I can't imagine playing one as human only for any extended amount of time. It's like gimping yourself. But to each their own.
  13. I'd rather have PA stay when ported to Doms. Especially after the change they just made to make is so that the PAs can look like you, I'd call it a set defining power.
  14. Add other difficulty options that the team leader can set (or solo folks can set if they want) that buffs bosses in all the ways that are wanted (or whatever masochistic options anyone else wants). That avoids the potential issue you guys are debated and leaves the game alone for the rest of us who are fine with it is as is, as a casual game.
  15. Except it's not an MMO. It's a free game that isn't really in continuous development. I'd argue sweeping changes that affect many builds are NOT what we should be focused on. In fact I'd argue it's a waste of the limited resources this volunteer team has time to spend on. That's perfectly fine. Trying to get perfect balance on a game that is over 10 years old, doesn't have a paid team, is a fools errand. They have better time to focus their limited resources on. And that's perfectly fine to say.
  16. IOs are fine. Add more options for those that want to play difficult content. (Of which i bet you'd find very few if you didn't increase the rewards for doing so, as @Galaxy Brainalluded to earlier.) EDIT: This ancient free game isn't dark souls. And it never will be.
  17. I farm to level up new builds to try out. I have a farmer on each of my accounts. The inf and drops are icing on the cake. The other is for getting vet levels so that I can get the emp reward, which I convert to Reward Merits, and the converters, for marketing. Helps to fuel alt builds.
  18. You have to do something for veteran levels. Earn xp. Incarnating out via BAF after BAF is bloody easy.
  19. Converters pretty much mean you won't be able to do that. At least not for long even if you tried. But that's for not. LOL
  20. Pretty much this. I . . . wouldn't care if someone tried what the poster before you suggested, as I can just convert the ones that don't exist into ones that do. In fact I did that for half the set IOs in my last two level 50s. /shrug.
  21. I . . . don't think about accuracy much. Just go after what I'm aiming for in the build: permadom, high recharge, softcapped defenses, high resists, etc. The accuracy for the IO Sets that go towards that work out on their own. Also stick in one or two purple sets and good enough. Especially with the to hit buffs flying around on most teams nowadays.
  22. Gale is fine as is. I would not mind if it had better accuracy. But other than that I disagree with the OP.
  23. Or Dark Dark Dark Corrupter.
