  3. I take them. Since they don't get detoggled while mezzed, I don't see why I wouldn't. Taking the Armor doesn't mean one has to chase the softcap.
  4. Pick the powers you want and then work the set bonuses available from there. My Earth/Martial Dom is far from my best character, 30% Defenses, Perma Dom by 1.6 seconds (so easy to miss) as I didn't want to take Hasten. Still the only Dom I've been able to get into (tho if Dom's ever get Illusion I think that may change :p) This isn't to say don't try for those insane defense numbers, but if you don't want Tough/Weave, don't take them. For me personally, they usually work for concept 😛
  5. I still want the Titan Weapon, Razor Sword, ported to Katana! No size change! The hilt looks long enough to handle the animation too.

Level 27 right now. Contemplating taking out Quicksand for Caltrops and moving the slots in Earthquake and 1 of the Winter's Gift IOs in Infiltration over to Caltrops, for 5 slot Positron's Blast set. However, I do like Quicksand just for the Earth Control concept of it. 🙂 Maybe just slot a Damage Proc in Quicksand to give it a bit of a damage component.
  7. For now, decided on Leviathan and see how it looks colored to look like sand 🙂 I had thought of Fire as maybe something lava ish.
  8. Anyone have suggestions for one that fits Earth Control the best in terms of concept? Can I color Ice to look like stone? Should I go Patron for a lack of any real FX?
  9. Going through all the Earth/ and /Martial builds. I'm not trying to stay range or stay melee, though I'd likely be in melee. Would combining Caltrops with Stone Cages and Earthquake be a good idea?
  10. Suggestions have been made on some assault sets. I know I've made a Dual Pistols/Street Justice Assault set in the suggestion thread in the suggestion forum. As for Water Assault. It has plenty of abilities that can be turned into melee version of the attacks without really changing much.
  11. Done ELM on a Scrapper. Is it top tier ST DPS? No. Is it able to get high enough to solo AVs before using Incarnate Abilities, in the Maria Jenkin arc? It is! So then it just becomes a matter of being fun to use 🙂 That said, I use it now on my ELM/BIO/Mu Stalker.
  12. If I put a Achille's Heel -Res Proc in Slowed Response, will it stack with the one in my attack? If not, would it be better to slot a different proc in Slowed Response? A damage proc perhaps?
  13. No idea why Conserve Power is needed on WP, I went non stop attacking with just Stamina and Quick Recovery. What holes are you talking about? All I can think about is DDR.
  14. I keep hoping for it to be ported, as I have yet to find a Dominator build I truly enjoy and I feel Illusion Primary would be it!

Trying to get just enough ST DPS to solo most AVs, been so long, can't recall how good or terrible Time Stop is for helping in that area.

  17. Which is why I suggested just putting their passive up to base Stamina/Health levels. Really, I doubt it would make it so you're an endless blue bar and none of the regen will likely really help, but it would likely make it so you actually take a little notice of the passive. Don't care for the idea of slotting the passive (the others can't be) not to mention slotting for 5% recovery isn't going to net much.
  18. Agreed. Playing my Widow, I couldn't help but go "I know I have an inherent, but it feels so lacking, like, do I even have one, really?" 5% Increased Recovery and 20% Regeneration? Make it 25% and 40%. The values of unenhanced Stamina and Health.

  21. You could downgrade those Incarnate abilities to levels that don't have the incarnate shift.
  22. This one seems to have taken longer.
  23. For me, it came down to Farming, so Frost was just the better pick. Haven't gone to see how the ST is with my single target attacks and burn, but it was never why I made her.
  24. No doubt it's not a great attack compared to other sets. I was just looking at it from MIDs. It doing 245.2 Damage in 2.508 Seconds.
  25. With that idea, any set can be a hill. "I can't attack! I'm out of END!" Game is simple enough, and having a strong tank when they get done...all the better 🙂
