Mastermind's Bots set is always a fun toy to pull out and run around with. I've had no complaints about with Grav on both a Dominator and Controller.

Incarnate powers, partly owing to the fact my trays are already full by the time they come along so they can sometime get stuck over out of the way in weird spots and oh look, my Incarnate shields were recharged all this time and I didn't even pop them when we first walked in here either. This also often happens with Vengeance for me.

Do you need to have a Hami-only toon? I mean, seems like most toons good at this could be good for most things.

I often just button mash in combat, end up targeting a mob with just a sliver of health with a just-recharged T9 or something, but when I am actually trying to slow down a little and really careful aim, what I usually end up doing is start with a single target attack against someone near the center-front and then unleash the cone. For ranged I often do sort of keep skirting around the outside of the mob trying to find a good angle. But I do like being in the center of things and just mashingmashingmashing - which is problematic when I play squishies so much.

Based on Live, I'm pretty sure I can get round the Rogue Isles without much of a map, finding the trainers and so on. I know some Blue, like Croatia very well. But much more of Blue is samey enough as to leave me confused, or just uninterested. Conversely, that means I can still have new stuff to see, like yesterday when I was bore din the early morning hours so I spent some time flyign through Terra Volta to see if any of the badges in there would be good for my new electricity-based toon. I think previously I've only been in there like six times. I did some Gold side back in the day, but I have little to no interest to go back, although the map itself looked great. I've run over there completing some Valentines Day missions and remembered a little of it.

TBF, that necro-post does seem terribly appropriate here.

I don't use key binds either, I have at best five or six macro buttons in a separate tray. And if you are defeated, maybe it's not the tool ya know? Unexpected things happen.

The first part of your sentence comes across as just another "that's the way it is explanation;" the middle part sounds like it justifies them being better at what they do after all (why do "what you can't do with your primary or secondary" if you don't do it well?), and the last a solid reason for why I want them to be worthwhile! 😃

TIL! I'm pretty sure I've done all the parts of that arc, but I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to see those. Never seen the costume power either, I don't think.

All decent ideas and you have a point here I think. It needs to run something more like a zone invasion; perhaps we can scale the ghosts into the place where their levels scale with the players like other zone invasions? I don't mind it in IP - lots of chances to find ghosts and such, since it's a big map - but yeah, being over water does cause a problem. But where else would a ghost ship go? 😃 Maybe some ghosts can spawn and fly along side it.

We'd have to up the reward amounts to match farms to do that, but that'd be silly - "run one missoon and get fifteen levels" silly.

Nah, that's farming. There's no taking down a drop-ship in farming, for instance.

I do keep seeing "obvious n00b questions" in chat, and the reddit for CoH has the occasional "which server?" query as well.

I recently had a blast leveling up a Savage Melee tanker, a great deal of which had to do with Savage Leap. And after reading the above now I want some sort of TP-Smash attack set so bad I can taste it. DEVS! GET TO WORK! I'd play the hell out of that.

I've only played two so far, as for some reason I don't enjoy melee range much these days, so it's been all squishie-distance for me. And yet... those two tanks were the easiest 50s for me, as it's nearly impossible for them to die! I almost never play solo, so for me, it's like some kind of showing off moment for me to to just spot a group of foes and hop into the center and then basically stand there lackadaisically attacking them and annoying them while waiting for the team to catch up with me. So easy! Find a good build and give it a whirl!
