  1. Could the same not be said for the swastika? The meaning of it has not changed in Hinduism or Buddhism yet I very much doubt you will find anyone wanting it included in the game.
  2. So a little intolerance and cultural appropriation is acceptable? Just want to make sure I understand you here.
  3. It is a fair point that there are several symbols already in the game that are culturally insensitive or inappropriate by todays standards and there are no calls to remove them or complaints.
  4. Yes they could add up fast, however the increase in the amount of time needed to clear them could/probably would offset those gains. In general, this is not a bad idea to add some flavor to the existing options. I do not see it getting used much outside of me soloing though. People I generally team with are merit farming and have worked out the optimal routine.
  5. This depends on the level of effort required and the amount of time invested. As I mentioned earlier, people will take the path of least resistance. If a person can run 3 speed TFs and gain the same amount of merits they could by running one of these "new and improved with difficulty!" TFs with additional EBs that drop an extra merit or two, in my experience they will always do the former. I like the idea of scaling all NPC factions because it opens up a whole lot more available options for content that was missed during leveling without having to give up your endgame investments in build.
  6. Personally, I do not see the need for NPCs that ignore taunt. The existing aggro cap mechanics cover this.
  7. Well no, that is not what I said at all.
  8. Yes, they are quitting because they take too long and simply boosting enemy HP to make them last longer is only exacerbating this.
  9. Yes, it very much does depend on the subjectivity of challenge. People are always going to take the path of least resistance. Speaking from personal experience in the groups and channels I belong to, rewards that can be achieved in the same amount of time by doing less "challenging" content will always be the way to go. I also see quite a lot of people quit group content when they take longer than anticipated. I do not see bumping enemy NPC HP across the board to make things last longer alleviating that issue in particular.
  10. And too many people are quick to suggest others have not already bounced ideas around or offered suggestions before. There have been several posts with varying ideas on how to address the concepts of challenge and difficulty in the post level 50 game. This is not a new discussion topic and this subject was brought up not only here, but on live as well on many occasions. What difficulty and challenge mean are subjective and those definitions vary from person to person. I can only speak for myself here - simply upping HP, damage, toHit, resists etc. on enemy NPCs does not equal challenge or difficulty. It simply results in a stalemate which is boring. I would much prefer not know what happen and tossing in a few random things here and there. Were it me - and granted this is pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking - I would look at improving the underlying AI that would allow NPCs to be more adaptive to your combat tactics. I would also be interested in toying around with the idea of giving NPCs more coordinated strategies along the lines of what @Galaxy Brain mentioned up thread. Enemy NPCs never seem to use any strategy like ambushes or coordinated attacks. Another idea would be to introduce some random events into encounters, such as traps or even collateral damage. Collateral damage somewhat loosely already exists in mayhem missions and can either be a detriment or benefit. Think of using the environment to your advantage or in the course of your mission, your battle sets the building on fire and you now have to rescue civilians. You could also have random named NPCs or signatures spawn.
  11. This does not increase difficulty. It only makes the game more of a slog.
  12. Teamwork has nothing to do with it. You would never be able to hit anything +6 or higher. This is simply how the game is built.
  13. Blue Monday New Order Totally stoked for this movie 😁
  14. Saving the World - Superman Returns OST John Ottoman and John Williams
  15. You are right. I forgot the door only swings one way on these things. My bad. 😉
  16. Someone somewhere out there may see the paw print as a symbol representing animal cruelty. I am sure we can come up with examples of how just about any symbol in the game can have a negative connotation to it. Should we remove all of them too?
  17. Personally, I am amazed there are people still playing CO.
  18. Why? If this were true, there are already symbols in the game that could upset someone somewhere. If this is the stance to take, then may as well remove any kind of symbol from the game so as not to offend anyone.
  19. You would never get me out of the Holodeck. I would be in there 24/7/365.
  20. STO has the Artisinal Sonification System that is a real riot. Might be fun to try something along these lines here.
  21. Were it me, I would nerf Regen.
  22. Why waste a power pick on something you can get from the P2W vendor?
  23. Yes please! Would love to battle something Godzilla sized.
  24. AFAIK, the existing grass items can be placed side-by-side without texture difference. Is there something different you were looking for here? Yes please to everything else!
  25. This and there are pool powers that have been made irrelevant - such as Acrobatics - due to IOs.
