This is not an option for a lot of people and at least to me, defeats the purpose of teaming up for the task force.

This request comes up often. Short answer is no due to how the auction house needs is loaded. The auction house is not accessible in instanced maps, and bases are instanced maps.

It is wishful thinking for them to believe they will be able to report people for attacking them in a PVP zone. The discussion was about courtesy toward another player.

I do not think anyone is suggesting people should not expect to be attacked or get attacked when they enter a PVP zone. If they do then ask to be left alone so they can work on a badge or whatever, I personally see no harm in leaving them be. I have done this many times.

Why should that be a silly assumption? Seems to me there are people here who would oblige another player if they asked nicely. I can only speak for myself, but in the various MMOs I have played that have had PvP of one kind or another, there were quite a lot of very helpful people there. Sure, there are those who are there to just get their jollies out of bullying others, but they exist in the PVE world too.

Ok I looked it up and I remember it now. That was the low level capture-the-flag one. I had a pimped out elf rogue who did well in there. My warrior, not so much. ☺️

In the examples provided, Jerry would have to sign one check. The rest would be signed automatically. No carpal tunnel required.

I agree up to a point. It all depends on the situation. Personally, I do not see the harm in someone asking to be left alone if they are badging. Were it me and I attacked someone, if they asked nicely I would have no problem accommodating them. I have no issue extending that courtesy to a fellow player. Just because it is a PVP zone does not mean my fun supersedes theirs. I can always go find someone else who is more interested in the same thing. I think people can (and should) be adults about the whole thing.

In the example provided, this would be a one and done deal. There would be nothing else for you to do except collect the occasional inf from the auction house. Your white salvage drops are not going into your personal storage, so no clutter. You are getting inf, not having white salvage take up personal inventory space and the market continues to get a supply.

Actually I have played a few PVP centric games in my time. There are decent players in all of them. And yes, PVP is mostly dead here in part due to the players themselves. It is not the sole reason for it, but a reason nonetheless.

Honestly, when I see others using disrespectful terms like "carebear" to describe others who show a level of common courtesy toward a fellow gamer, I am reminded why PVP zones are dead most all of the time.

Normally I completely agree. However, according to what the GM posted in another thread, if you do ask to be left alone and others are still bothering you by attacking you, it is a reportable offense.
