It is not difficult to understand where anyone is coming from on either side of the perceived issue.

Forgive the title. It is not mine.

Why not team up with the OP and find other like minded people to group together?
-
What content update is ever a complete "win"? There are always people who will like or dislike a change.

Some people are going to get upset no matter what anyone does. People who do not like the Incarnate system can skip it entirely or go and play something else, that is their choice. Quite clear there are people who enjoy having it in game and want it to remain. I am sure there were other reviews around the web who felt Incarnates were a great addition. There is no right or wrong answer. Yes, this is a small volunteer group and any new major content updates are unlikely. With that said, the problem here as I see it is that people do not want to do any work themselves. For those that do not like it, what exactly is preventing them from using the available tools in game, here on the forums or on social media to seek out like minded players? Form a group, team up together and play the way you want with no incarnate powers at all. The solution to the perceived problem is there, just no one wants to do what would be required to correct it. They would rather someone else do it for them or force everyone to play as they like. I can only speak to my experience here, but I have yet to see any "no incarnate powers" TFs advertised in LFG or any of the teaming channels.

5 Things to Encourage Conventional Leveling

What exactly is preventing you from using the available tools in game and here on the forums? Seek out like minded players, form a group, team up and run all the content how you like. You have plenty of tools available to do as much socializing as you want to. At least to me, this solves your perceived problem and there is zero development time required. You and others like you can play how you like and others can play how they like. -
The entrance portal cannot have the alignment changed.

Incarnates are not a problem. The lack of content designed for and balanced around them is the problem.

I already offered an answer to this. Scroll up.

5 Things to Encourage Conventional Leveling
ShardWarrior replied to Kraqule's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Players are already rewarded for playing story arcs and those that prefer to level this way can do it all they like. -
You mean other than some people finding it fun? Incarnate characters are supposed to be powerful. Read the text from the Mender's arc where it says people touched by the well were god-like beings. Your character is on that path. The problem is not incarnate abilities. The problem is the lack of incarnate content. Unfortunately, the game was shut down before more challenging content designed for and balanced around incarnates could be added. There is nothing stopping anyone from forming "no incarnate powers" teams. Seems to me there are enough people on here who feel the same way. Why not use the available tools to form a SG/VG, invite each other and team to run whatever content how you like? That gets what you are after with zero development time required.

Whatever you do, steer very, very, very clear of Dell. I am having nothing but headaches with their customer service. I bought an Alienware M17 back in 2017. I had purchased the extended Premium Support package with it which expires end of March of next year. Toward the end of April, several of the keys on the keyboard were coming loose and sticking and the machine was running hot. Dell tech support ran some remote tests and determined the unit was running hot and sent me a box to send it to their repair facility. They wound up replacing all fans, motherboard and heat sync along with the keyboard. I get it back a few days later and several keys still sticking and still running very hot. Dell tech support recommends sending it back again, so I did. They replaced the motherboard, heat sync and fans again along with a new keyboard. I get it back and the bezel on the display is warped. I call them and they ask me to send it back again. I do and when I get it back, bezel is still warped. This time, they send a technician to the house to repair. On site technician could not fix it, so I send it back again to Dell service center. I get it back and bezel is fine, except now when playing games, the laptop freezes up. Call Dell Tech Support and they say the CPU is not good. At this point, I told them I want the unit replaced. They say no problem. Now, let me tell you what they consider "replace". They are at this moment sourcing old parts they are hoping to find in order to build an exact duplicate of my laptop, which according to them can take several weeks and then additional time for the "factory" to build it. I told them I do not want a refurbished machine since the refurb parts they used all failed. They still make the M17 except in a different chassis with a slightly better processor and according to the first support tech I spoke to, if they cannot fix it they will replace the computer with a new one if you have Premium Support. I asked for my replacement request to get escalated to someone whom I can speak to instead of emailing back and forth. I have yet to get a response. Based on this, I strongly encourage you to stay as far away from Dell as humanly possible. Their support is utterly atrocious and they want to sell you refurbished garbage. Do not buy from them.

5 Things to Encourage Conventional Leveling

People will still farm regardless of any of these changes in my opinion. -
No thank you.

See now, this is a great idea. Would be slick if they could port the medical drone model from the base editor over for it too.

Balancing Base Teleport (Long)
ShardWarrior replied to mechahamham's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Please do some searching on the subject of removing the command as it has been discussed at length in various threads. As the Homecoming folk have said, the slash command is going to get removed eventually. The current plan is to replace it with an Oro-portal like power.- 2 replies

Fixed for you. 😁 Any and all improvements to MM pets would be welcome. The completest in me leveled one to 50 and I can confidently say that will be my one and only level 50 MM. Never again.

Yes but only if it comes with a Carp to use as a weapon for Carp melee.
-
Could the same not be said for the swastika? The meaning of it has not changed in Hinduism or Buddhism yet I very much doubt you will find anyone wanting it included in the game.
-
So a little intolerance and cultural appropriation is acceptable? Just want to make sure I understand you here.
-
It is a fair point that there are several symbols already in the game that are culturally insensitive or inappropriate by todays standards and there are no calls to remove them or complaints.
-
Yes they could add up fast, however the increase in the amount of time needed to clear them could/probably would offset those gains. In general, this is not a bad idea to add some flavor to the existing options. I do not see it getting used much outside of me soloing though. People I generally team with are merit farming and have worked out the optimal routine.
-
This depends on the level of effort required and the amount of time invested. As I mentioned earlier, people will take the path of least resistance. If a person can run 3 speed TFs and gain the same amount of merits they could by running one of these "new and improved with difficulty!" TFs with additional EBs that drop an extra merit or two, in my experience they will always do the former. I like the idea of scaling all NPC factions because it opens up a whole lot more available options for content that was missed during leveling without having to give up your endgame investments in build.
-
Personally, I do not see the need for NPCs that ignore taunt. The existing aggro cap mechanics cover this.
-
Well no, that is not what I said at all.
