  1. I skip the same powers in plant. I had the sleep power leveling but it was pretty well useless as things would immediately be awoken by creepers, fly trap, confused enemies or fiery orb (orb was probably what aggroed the second mob anyway). I find vines is plenty for an emergency power. Creepers is the best power in the set, which in a set that has seeds of confusion is really saying something. With a crazy recharge build mine's at 136 second recharge with no recharge in the power itself for proccing purposes. It's close enough to perma since seeds is such fast recharge and you have other tools for the time it's down. I can't emphasize enough how amazing creepers is with procs. As to earth, someone else will have to take that one.
  2. I kinda assumed the lowbies in question were alts, but J.B.'s more charitable than I about people's being charitable. If you do the unslotter thing you're now on the hook for whatever the unslotter costs and the catalyst cost. Even if you have a pile of catalysts bigger than the total number you'll need for ATOs for every future alt, you're still better off not using them for anything else. If you have a surplus sell them for 3 million or whatever, sell the level 50, rebuy it attuned. Even with auction fees there are no IOs that cost enough that you won't be better off that way (unless you lowball yourself into too big of a discrepancy on a winter IO).
  3. you don't. sell the drops, buy attuned, sell the catalysts, profit.
  4. There is always the option to just leave it. Please. I'll beg if necessary. I wasn't aware it was an 'exploit' but it seems like it could just fit in nicely with all the other QoL improvements HC has brought. If nothing else it's made ouro avoidable and it was really getting intolerable with all the bc/local trial spam and the portal blocking (seriously people go form trials in DA, people can street sweep while they wait for them to fill.). It's fantastic on TFs too. And let's face it, Master of Badges were already rendered a complete joke by incarnate powers. That just leaves pvp, and if you actually feel better about yourself for not losing because you zipped away before your last hit point was gone you have issues. And re the actual base porters - the long interrupt time combined with them being interrupted by anyone opening an ouro portal within half a zone or a rularuu flapping its wings in another dimension rendered them pretty much trash as it is. Rare are the cases where you can't just run to a base portal before those actually work.
  5. Here's a renault - 28:58. Quite sure at least 5 mins could be cut from that (my toon was only 28) but since i didn't see a time on the first page figured I might as well throw up a time to beat.
  6. yes, so long as you have access to the power the proc will work. note that this only applies to procs proper - many of the IOs we call procs out of habit are actually globals which function like set bonuses and with those the level does matter. when in doubt check the wiki, but in general the ones that add a chance to damage or hold or something like that will work so long as you have access to the power.
  7. I dig my stj/ice. It's fun. I have no idea how optimal it is, nor do i care. I dig my elec/shield - I've had an elec/shield of every possible AT (tank/brute on live, scrap here) and finally landed on the one i like. Neither has moonbeam, neither has crosspunch, shield one doesn't have spring attack. I don't care. Could probably have worked in spring but I'd rather have the DDR from grant cover.
  8. Noooooo, I'm too attached. and i only found out about it this week. It's allowed me to stay out of the wretched hive of scum and villainy ouro has turned into. But re OP yeah it does seem like it should be disabled for pvp. Though not being a pvp'er i can't imagine why someone would feel better about getting almost killed and zapping away than just getting killed.
  9. For Sister P? I'd think /energy would be a good choice assuming you attune enough of your defense bonuses to be s/l/energy softcapped. but really any stalker could blast through this, that'd just be if you were wanting to run it x8 and/or +level.
  10. More than 2 bil? Glad armor 3% unique went for more than 2 billion on its own, even for a while after they became available with h/v merit grinding. Were it not for afk pvp farmers they'd have probably gone for 10.
  11. Ah yeah I forgot about those instances. I do always use ouro for that, just haven't had one of those in the few days since I found out about the base tp thing.
  12. OK high end stuff has creeped up. 950 million (well 948 for the posted build, i switched rez for ss with a botz in case there was some fire attack with kb i wasn't aware of, plus ss is nice.) That's not counting the 62 boosters, or the 11 catalysts for ATOs which i had in my base, or prolly half the converters i used since I already had a bunch. Was forced into converting due to lack of a lot of the winter IOs for sale, but probably saved money that way since i bought the hold ones to convert. Ditto for brute ATOs not on sale (converted khelds). Bought quite a few sleep purples to convert just because prices on some of the damage ones were just silly. Not live silly, but silly enough it was worth doing another search and converting. I also went with recipe/crafting in several purple cases. Still though, multiple billions sounds suspect. counting 200 converters (it wasn't that many but meh) and rounding up we'll call mine 1.1 billion. I can't imagine too many builds being much more expensive than the one above without just trying to use the most expensive thing per slot.
  13. /signed, but I've not gone there since i found out about the base code teleport macros. I had big plans to go to every zone and map out exit points so I'd know which to use in each particular case but then realized i don't care. It really is that bad. My base's pillar of ice and fire is getting heavy use and I'm loving it.
  14. I'll be buying every enhancement for the build above. We shall see what it costs.
  15. So because I'm deranged I'm going to actually make the above as a second build even though i almost never farm. Currently farming Heather to get tier 4 agility rather than the barrier I had on main build.
  16. i said i had experience of it in burn. i've been playing my rad/bio a bit more lately and got a couple hits of it out of irradiated ground the other day, but it was just your run of the mill kb, it wasn't slinging them quite like burn did. None of the other powers I've used it in have patches so there's no reason to expect stacking.
  17. Yeah my current build has no problem with 325 on 4/8/bosses and it's only at 19%. I figured softcap would make it possible afk though, which i can only do 4/8/no or 2/8/with. TBH i don't get how some of these dedicated farm builds are still having to use lucks past 40 or so.
  18. OK i made a dedicated fire farm build. Should my influence printing with the market ever dry up I'll make this into a second build for my claws/fire. I used soul mastery just because i like the -to hit better than mu's secondary effect. Mu is slightly better dp/animation but you wanted pyre so i'm not helping specifically there anyway. Note you have to boost some LotGs to get to fire softcap with this one. Villain Plan by Mids' Villain Designer 2.22 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! 19. the power selections themselves are fine (apart from no hasten) but it's not going to be much of a farmer without more global recharge for the aoes. i assume you're getting the rest of the way to the fire softcap with your alpha? shouldn't take too terribly long to raise money for some cheap sets to raise recharge (some more hp/regen wouldn't hurt either) that can be replaced with more expensive ones as you go. though once you get your global recharge up you'll find you don't need as many attacks as you have unless they're just being set mules. i'd link mine but it's both very expensive and not optimized for fire farming (or for anything really, i'd change a lot if i cared but it's easy mode as is and it mostly just marketeers rather than farm unless a friend needs a pl). Also idk how you're going to manage to spend several billion on anything, much less a tanker.
  20. Like all loot boxes you're supposed to lean into the tedium by streaming yourself slowly opening them one flip at a time and rambling between each flip.
  21. Purples give great enhancement values at any level. If someone told you they don't they were misinformed. And since they're naturally attuned you can +5 them to squeeze a bit more out of them. They won't give you the same numbers at 35 as they do at 50 but that's true of anything in a system based on percentages.
  22. I skip swipe, slash and eviscerate, but there are arguments to be made for every power. If slash were one of the first two tiers I'd take it instead of strike so I could put an achilles proc there, but it's not so I don't have the room. Eviscerate I stopped taking when the kb to kd IO made shockwave so good, but plenty of people use and love it.
  23. I've read elsewhere that the ones with the larger percentage listed first in the description work. Can't remember if it was on here or help channel but I've not tested myself. sounded ridiculous but possibly just ridiculous enough to be true. I've been using degenerative core.
  24. I went and read the bit in the proc thread about creepers as well. Sounds sweet with damage but I'm leaving out the FF proc - creepers seems to have a fast attack rate anyway. just wish i could get it to perma too but without recharge in the power I can't with what else I want to do. But here's the build I think I'm going with - should mention that I'm going to keep offensive and defensive amplifier on it so add 5% defense all and 7% resist all and some damage/to hit/recharge. When you're spending this much already why not throw an extra 40 million at it every 8 hours of play.
