That's a whole thing for the pylon people to answer. The way I understand it you look at dps until you have an uninterrupted chain at which point you look at dpa, but it's out of my depth really.

Great guide! One thing though - superior and regular winter are bucketed as well so ATO are the only things worth using catalysts on.

AAO doesn't taunt on stalker and it only messes up hide in a roundabout way - i.e. enemies will notice you because of it. so you'll still have your hide status and can crit from it but enemies will attack and if they hit your hide will be broken. Basically this only comes up in situations where you telenuke in - you're attacking which activates AAO but pseudo pet doesn't break hide. Assuming you're defense capped you should be able to get off your crit, just as one normally does when the chance to hide ATO proc goes off while enemies are attacking. RE sr pairing - dark melee's a good choice for the heal. Katana's a fine set (er, ninja blade, rather) but divine avalanche would pretty much be a leveling only power on an SR.

If you look at damage/animation - i.e. arcana time, GFS is 3rd highest behind incinerate and very slightly, cremate. Scorch is below regular fire sword as well.

I have a stj/ice and an elec/shield. does that count? stj/ice/shield are all great on stalker - with /shield be sure to take grant cover - lots of folks skip it but it gives you defense debuff resist. with both /ice and /shield take ageless radial if possible for more DDR. /sr you'll be capped on DDR anyways. with enough recharge stj is fine on aoe at 50 with just spinning strike. you may want sweeping cross to fill out an exemped chain or to mule something and it's a fine power. i'd imagine a built up shield charge plus a couple applications should clear the soft targets and stragglers. i'd throw an achilles proc in shin breaker if you can, but you'll be golden single target no matter what.

FIgured out the deal with the 49 vs 50 inf - to maximize your 49 inf you need to have patrol exp. But worry not about having to buy tons of packs for experienced boosts - with the correct settings (earn exp and no exemp exp 2x inf) you won't burn through it on the 49 map.

Do we have any idea what flavour of ToT'ing we'll get on HC? If it's the old style crazy fun everyone open as many doors as you can madhouse version sign me up. If it's the snooze fest that was door timers wake me up for baby new year.

claws is pretty much set for mitigation. my fire/invuln was retired well before avalanche and overwhelming force existed 😄

I lol'd at this. I did 95 of them the other day. Key is to exit and reclick the power each time. You can eventually get into a decent rhythm but it's still super annoying. /signed but really that whole interface needs a rework as i think has been suggested elsewhere.

A visit to echo galaxy city from a base portal works too. Grab your pupil plaque right near where you pop out then use the train to go to ouro for the explore badge there.

It was possible even prior to incarnates and new sets. It's easier now.

Any plans to add the p2w amplifier powers to the temp powers section? we top hat and monocle types who run those on every toon would love ya for it. ok we already love ya but still.

Neat trick, definitely situations I'll use that. also re the macro - if you bind the command to the slot location of your RoA you get the targeted AoE without having to monitor the original's recharge elsewhere like you do with the macro. So mine, e.g. is /bind alt+3 powexec_location target rain of arrows

Using it as alpha with explosive arrow (with kb to kd IO) following it up will help that as the explosive arrow will actually hit first and knock them on their butts for the rain. I've also not noticed anyone running out when I use it from out of line of sight, but me not noticing doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

41s aren't that much more expensive and when you get into these in bulk any saved clicks are gold.

I've added a zero with converters and on a purple here and there but nothing like that in bulk before. Of course I've been using merits for boosters cuz even though i have the money i decided i should probably use merits for something since they're just sitting there piling up.

You can choose to do without it, you just won't be as tough as you would be otherwise. I really don't understand you character concept folks but what kind of sword fighter wouldn't also learn some hand to hand stuff on the side? or do cardio for that matter?

You could presumably cap melee fairly easily with a whack of defensive sweep. The problem is that unlike parry or divine avalanche or guarded spin, the devs for some reason known only to them decided to make defensive sweep melee/smashing instead of melee/lethal. Practically this means that all those ranged attacks that are lethal and debuff defense, i.e. tons of them, are hitting you full on and causing cascading defense failure. With basically no source of defense debuff resistance outside of ageless radial if you took it and your teammates, that can get bad fast. Now of course /bio has layered defenses so you're probably still going to cakewalk council no matter how many minions are pinging you from ranged with their rifles. But a couple of crabs at ranged adding to the bowl of pain arachnos already is can ruin your day. As far as fighting pool, i wouldn't skip it, especially if you're planning on keeping offensive adaptation running.

I'd post mine but the last mids update decided to change a slotted electrified net arrow into an unremovable raptor pack so I'd have to completely recopy it from the in-game version for it to be accurate 😄

I'm a few seconds off on paper but actually perma-hasten with my offensive amplifier and the likelihood of the force feedback proccing a time or two over the duration of hasten. Really though I don't know that I couldn't get by without hasten altogether. At +3/8/bosses (I'm not level boosted yet) anything short of an EB is dead before I ever even get to use follow through, and that was true leveling when I didn't even have hasten.

Just because they exemplar normally doesn't mean you necessarily want to dump your attuned. Exemplaring normally means you lose your set bonuses below level 47 on a 50 or 50+5 set that isn't pvp or purple. My general approach is to use all attuned of normal sets, and then boost generic IOs, pvps and purples. But then I exemplar a lot and keeping my set bonuses to 3 levels below the bottom level of the set is more valuable to me than the % gains from boosting them at 50, especially with the boost you already get at 50 from incarnate stuff. If you're only playing the alt at 50 or only rarely exemp for weekly tfs or something then by all means, boost away.

But they often come back soon after. Unbreakable Guard is a good example - when the price goes down you can just convert them to the more stable aegis. When it's up they're worth good money on their own. Sometimes it's just a piece or two that gets too much or too little supply. People jump on and off these niches quickly so it pays to check things you know earned well in the past now and again.
