  1. I'm sure my testing was flawed the first time, that's why you test a second time!
  2. I gave it a second test and see the BU proc go off fairly frequently on me, never on a pet. No need for a video, thx though.
  3. I just did a test with Gaussian's BU proc in this power and didn't see it fire off once. It's possible I wasn't monitoring something correctly. Does anyone have hands-on, empirical evidence (plz no "well it should..." responses) that the BU proc works and who does it effect, friendly entities within the tide? The player? I monitored both my MM pets and myself.
  4. A booster multiplies the enhancement effect by 5%. For a level l50 IO, this becomes 42.4*1.05 = 44.52, or a final increase of more than 2%, which is significantly more than "a fraction of 1%". We all have our own definition of what provides utility but I find there's far more utility from boosters than converters because a booster will actually make your character stronger. I'm not talking about spamming them into purples because yes, in that case, with ED, you are getting "a fraction of 1%" for some (not all) attributes.
  5. A very frequently encountered mob with KOB is the Cyclops.
  6. If OP thought Hopkins was bad, I look forward to them being able to defeat Hopkins to hear their thoughts on the next fight (I'll stay spoiler free for this tf we've all done 250 times).
  7. I've seen people say "I bet Marine would make a good superteam" well here's your chance to find out for yourself. My prediction? Yes, a very good superteam.
  8. Looks like patrol xp (50%) on the alt which eventually got used up and then the xp became equal. So not a glitch.
  9. That will happen when one of the team members is not in the same zone. Have everyone in the same zone and you should be fine.
  10. It wasn't terribly uncommon on the retail servers to slot Mocking Beratement in Brute ST attacks for fire farming in AE. It has fire def and 7.5% recharge I had an SS/Fire I used for fire farming back then and I stole the build from the forums, so using these sets for a brute (or tank) goes way back.
  11. I'm going to append to this, the same behavior is happening, same part of the map, but without pets. This time, it's the enemies. /whereami data: Server: Excelsior Zone/Mission: Office_60_Layout_04_01 Position: [473.3 0.0 2094.6] Doing the Manticore tf, in the timed mission "Catch the Countess" I entered the bottom floor of this room, most of the mobs teleported away, seemingly to [532.5 0.0 2217.8], at least some of them came back to me but not all. The other instances I mentioned were inconveniences, now I'm unable to proceed on this tf without GM intervention (hopefully). upate - I found the two mobs that didn't come back in a stairwell. The bug is still an issue though but I can proceed.
  12. I'm going to guess you reported 750M inf missing from an E-mail "event" from a few months ago that caused some players on certain shards to lose inf in e-mails.
  13. I took a glance at the second build in the OP, one thing stood out, Ice Slick doesn't need that Overwhelming Force piece. Ice Slick is .5 mag kb, which is kd. I'd put a 2nd lvl 50 recharge (50+5, ofc) into IW for more coverage.
  14. I'm in the club. I've got a lot of t4d no-compromise built 50s (> 100, < 200, I'm not going to get more specific) and if I were to rate personal damage, this would be last. Great team contributor and (this is super niche) a great 2nd box follow character. If I made another rating of all my characters by their contribution just by standing around, this would be pretty high on that list. Looking at Mids, ranged def = 39, IW has high uptime (90% but not perma). Oh and as for skipping VG, build how you want but... yikes.
  15. If you want Kronos or Babbage to spawn elsewhere than their normal spots in FF or Skyway, respectively, then you have to use LRT, base transport then base portal or Ouroboros to get to Talos. All 3 put you at approximately the same place - the SG portal for the first two, on the hill just a few yards away from the SG portal if coming from Ouro. So, that's it, the mission owner has to go to the same area near the train station and the ambush triggers on that player there. They're not homing in on the station, but the player. I don't know if this is breaking "Fight Club" protocols, but I've spawned Kronos in Talos a time or two and he zeroes in on me, not the train station.
  16. It's happening again. Merc/Marine, now lvl 35 doing Scirocco's "Find Silver Mantis" mission. It's the same situation as in the OP. When I get into the break room area, the mercs will run either a) run down to the bottom of the stairways where I entered that room or b) (and this was a surprise to see) insta-port down there. Here's the /whereami info: 11:56] Server: Indomitable Zone/Mission: V_Office_45_Layout_05 Position: [1616.9 54.1 -3919.7] Furthermore, I dismissed and summoned the pets at that same $loc and all seemed well at first. I engaged Silver Mantis and then the pets all ported back to [1665.3 36.0 -3866.7]. At first I thought "uh oh" when it was just she and I but then SHE ported to [1665.3 36.0 -3866.7] as well. I went back and could do my MM things to defeat her, but... something's up with this particular section of the map.
  17. This is what I'm grind up atm, I go pure SOs the first time around with a new powerset so I don't have any meaningful feedback for you. Just wanted to say even on just SOs, I'm impressed by the combo, 5/5.
  18. My character is a lvl 30 mercs/marine MM. My mission is the "Lay all ghosts to rest" mission from Gordon Bower (the first ghost mission he offers) I don't have the means to make videos in-game, or more precisely I'm not willing to take the time to figure it out so still images will have to do. I'm at this intersection, straight ahead is a sunken room. Mercs are in defensive/follow mode. Not go-to, not stay, but defensive/follow. This is certain. This is the room that was directly ahead: To the left are stairs that lead up to a break area that then leads to a library-ish looking area. Ok, that's enough setup. The mercs follow me to the stairs up to the breakroom. Then, when I go into the library area, they bug out and go to the first room I showed. Here's me showing a pet I had selected, all of them are now in this room. When I go back to that first intersection, they all come back to join me. I am a MM enjoyer and have spent a lot of time behind the wheel of this AT. I've never seen this behavior before though. This did not happen again during this play session, I did not encounter this particular map again though. Let me head off some expected questions/counterpoints. * My stance is defensive/follow, not go-to or anything else * This is NOT the mission with the fog that causes minions to attack the fog, that's the second ghost mission * I promise you I'm in defensive/follow Maybe this is some odd combination of circumstances that have never happened to me before and never will happen again, but I wanted to document this just in case additional similar incidents are reported.
  19. It's not just an armored set issue, my badger is a /plant blaster and had to turn off the sustain.
  20. One oddball 3rd box I was moderately surprised by its effectiveness was an ice/poison controller. It does a heckuva job just sitting standing there with Arctic Air and Venomous Gas. Put Envenom on auto if you want, certainly useful for the AV fights. I don't have dedicated 3-box teams by any means, but if I need a notice I'll bring out my Trap MM to go along with it and on a whim I added the ice/poison and was really pleased by the results.
  21. Probably the most notable pro: defense, defense, defense. At ED cap for ally bubbles, dispersion, maneuvers and no additional +def slotting in Enforcers, minions are over 50% def to all ((bubs) 17.6+ (dispersion) 11.7+ (Man) 4.11+ (2 enforcers man) 2*8.466) Most notable con is the primary doesn't heal, the secondary doesn't heal. That's something that can be worked around, turn on team insps and have team greens handy and also get good at insp feeding macros but you will need to get proficient at this or deal with the periodic resummons, especially of the Arsonist who will die even with 100% def and resists regardless. This combo was my first villain 50 an eon ago, I thought it was pretty good then but the FF buffs make it substantially better now. It's Hedgefund approved.
  22. The pro: so many pets. The con: there's no such thing as a thug/robot. Are you asking for a comparison between thugs and robots or did you mean a different secondary (I'd guess Traps)?
  23. One of the loading screens I just saw said something about some zones require a minimum level to enter and mentioned PVP zones as an example. This is no longer the case, anyone can enter any PVP zone at any level.
  24. Adding a "suffix" is something I do to insure I don't overbid (and I never have, ever). Not sure how this is hard to understand.
  25. In my lifetime I've 3 slotted Explosive Strike, a set that tops at 20, +5ing the two boostable pieces, which takes the values from awful to just a hair below mediocre. The proc is nice and I was chasing ranged def. I wish I could remember which character this was, I'd like to check what I put in the other 3 slots but my recollection was at the end of the day it met my targets. My problem with Kinetic Combat is not the damage, but the set has accuracy in only one piece, offering a hair under 23% accuracy enhancement at lvl 35 and beyond, boosted +5 takes it to almost 29%.. So unless it's a pure mule you have to dedicate more slots to make up for this.
