  1. Let me introduce you to Enhancement Diversification.... https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Enhancement_Diversification
  2. It counts for the defeat of siege either as an AV or elite boss version which tallies him as beat for portal jockey.
  3. Pre-marriage I was on Discord/Vent/TS/Mumble/etc whenever I played any MMO. Now being married with a toddler, I'll type in chat boxes more than anything but at this point typically for this game usually on the gold standard group or occasionally I'll use discord to catch up with old friends, especially those that live in other countries.
  4. Hmmm I wasn't aware that storm cell couldn't be spawned off the ground. I'm at work so I don't have access to the game currently. The next best idea you could try would be to use either self as the target or cursor. The first option would spawn it on yourself, which I'm pretty sure player characters work better with floor geometry then NPCs so that might give you better results. The second option would spawn it wherever your mouse cursor is pointing with no target reticule and second click needed so it slightly speeds up the process. I use this with teleportation binds, but it should work just as well with a location based power. The caveat is that it requires you to point your mouse where you want it then, which could cause you to accidentally send it off to the side of your cursor is over there and you're not paying attention.
  5. That's not a fix at all as the power is locationally based and the end cost is applied once. Making them all targeted or pbaoe toggles make them have a continuous end cost and any offensive aspect of them would be suppressed if you were CC'd. If your having difficulty with the power spawning under the map, why not modify your macro to have a powexec_location up:2 Storm Cell. That would cause it to spawn on your body but 2 units up in the air, so should avoid the floor geometry. You can experiment if 2 is a good number or not.
  6. I'm in the camp that Rad Armor should be built in such a fashion that it doesn't need DDR, because it doesn't need Defense. My SS/Rad Brute uses capped resistances, capped slow res, and absorb and gets through +4x8 without any issue whatsoever.
  7. If you're patient, and have some degree of start up capital the AH can be used to make a lot of influence in a fairly short time.
  8. @Frosticus probably is a good person to ask.
  9. I have it on a scrapper paired with Energy Aura, it works well. Regarding SD or Bio either could work well, but your initial question doesn't have much criteria for people to choose. We don't know what you plan on doing with it and at what difficulty, we also don't know your budget for the toon like are you IOing it with set IOs or just running SOs?
  10. It can definitely be tricky to use effectively. I typically will use it in an AoE "soft" cc power. I actually just stuck it in the single target hold on my new arse/sonic domi because it didn't have too many other choices given my build goals. Personally since it's an ATO, I'd be open to it being a global proc that would apply across all of our powers similar to how some of the other ATs have global procs on their ATOs.
  11. I've been interested in the greater CoH lore for quite awhile myself. I'm open to a place to discuss it with others.
  12. There's a total of 3 necro/dark posts on the front page of masterminds currently. Each one has builds posted in it. I'd suggest trying your build and the others on the test server. See what works best for you. Look at the comments in the other threads. That way you can compare contrast your build with others and implement feedback to improve your build.
  13. I'm wondering how people are deciding currently between Ice and Dark. For years Ice Mastery has given us a frozen armor (def), sleet, hoarfrost, hibernate, and ice storm. With the new Dark Mastery we can get Murky Cloud(res), Tar Patch, Darkest Night, Umbral Torrent, and Soul Consumption. The new Dark Mastery looks pretty good on paper sans Umbral Torrent. You can get additional resistance to some exotic resistance types, tar patch which doesn't have the avoid sleet has (but also doesn't have the -defense), darkest night gives a ton of mitigation not only to you but your team (subject to enemy resistance and purple patch voodoo). Otherwise it gives you Soul Consumption, which despite the super long recharge seems like an interesting power that gives you more max HP/end based on the number of mobs around you while reducing their max end/HP, and regen. How does Dark Mastery stack up in your opinion? Can it dethrone Ice Mastery or at least reasonably compete with it?
  14. I'm a big fan of electric control, it works well. On HC alone I have taken it to 50 on an elec/cold troller, elec/psi domi, elec/dark troller, and elec/poison troller. Maybe I need another elec domi.
  15. Hi. I typically don't publicly release my builds, but I'm open to giving you feedback towards your own to help you get to your own build goals in the sense of helping others learn how to make builds. If interested feel free to take a stab at a build yourself and send it to me via message with a little write up about your build goals: max HP, soft cap melee defense, high resistances, max damage, etc.
  16. Well Thunderspy does have an iron man hardcore challenge mode that you can choose from character creation which I thought was an interesting implementation. Here you'd be limited to your own self imposed rules and ensuring that you play by those rules. Either way a hardcore character challenge can be a fun way to play every once in awhile.
  17. I haven't looked at the new version yet but I'm sure it will have the impeccable quality of your previous editions.
  18. Once again we forgot to keep the buff duration on spirit drain at 30 seconds, and lower soul drain's from soul mastery base recharge down to 120 second.
  19. This must be a server unique issue. I've played on Everlasting since it was created and have general open all the time, and occasionally participate in the conversations. From my experience, the conversations are often related to in-game features/lore, about things like movies/TV shows, or sometimes about food. I would echo what some have suggested about reporting and ignoring the specific individual and let the GMs sort it out.
  20. Have you tried /bind shift+leftclick, "powexec_location cursor "Teleport"? Leftclick or rightclck are similar to lbutton and rbutton. Also the use of powexec_location with the cursor syntax instead of powexec_name will make teleport automatically beam you to the direction of the cursor without having a secondary mouse click, so it's faster in execution.
  21. I'll aim to boot up mids (perhaps tonight or tomorrow morning while my toddler is still asleep) and see what I can come up with.
  22. The article seems like AI generated content.
  23. Yes, and you can get hasten perma( as long as you're not slowed) if you really need. Once again you'll never be able to perma blizzard, closest you can get is with a Sentinel (as the base recharge time on Blizzard is 90 seconds, but the duration is reduced to 8 seconds).
  24. Rule of 5 for IO slotting. You can only have 5 sources of the same bonus. Blizzard has a base recharge of 170 seconds. Also maximum recharge value is 500%, you start at 100% to allow for slow debuffs. Blizzard lasts 15 seconds so even at the theoretical recharge limit, you wouldn't have it perma. If you really need hasten to be perma you can look at other recharge bonuses that give out values like 8.75%, 7.5%, 6.25%, and 5%. Additionally there's base buffs to help recharge as well, or incarnate choices you can make. That said it's not always necessary to get perma hasten, as you might have to give up more than you want with slotting choices.
  25. Elec/elec was my very first toon I rolled on release. Shout out to old Thunderspark from Guardian, you never made it past lvl 14 before getting shelved. At the time elec seemed weaker than the other elemental blast sets. Fast forward 20 years, I've taken both elec blast and elec manipulation to 50 multiple times, just not together. If you look over recent changes HC has made to elec blast, you'll find that it's actually in a pretty good place. Elec manipulation is a very melee focused secondary and overall it also works. Electric as you can imagine used energy damage, which is the third most resisted damage type in the game as far as I understand, so it's not going to get say fire/fire level damage, it still can work very well. I'd suggest downloading Mids Reborn and working on building your character there to use the tools to see what you can get out of it, additionally copying it over to the test server and using the commands there to lvl it to 50 and get the IOs and enhancements you want to test in it can be very useful. Additionally City of Data has great information about every power in the game. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/archetype.html?at=blaster https://midsreborn.com/
